    Falafel platter to-go - 7/26/2024
    Cam E.

Falafel Place on Central Park Avenue is a popular choice for freshly prepared falafel pita sandwiches. They serve all vegetarian Middle Eastern falafel and hummus served with assorted vegetables and sauces. All delicious! We ordered our falafel platter to go. Servers are friendly and prepare your orders individually. **They are now neighbors to the recently opened Chick-fil-A next door with long lines ** Thank you

Good selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes. Great falafel, pretty big and filling. The babaganush was fresh and smoky. Small tiny place with a few tables. Staff is cheerful and friendly.

Stopped in for a quick, fresh bite after searching for places in the area of Ridge Hill. I was pleasantly surprised to find this hidden gem, amongst the many strip malls in the area. Too be fair, I've had better Falafel, but honestly, the reviews of this place, service, and food, all lined up for me. Fast, fresh, some what crispy falafel, accompanied with delicious tahini and hot sauce; yess please! Would definitely stop in again. My picture does this sandwich no justice. Don't be fooled if you walk into an empty restaurant, they get lots of Uber eats and customer pickups. Tables were clean and comfortable.

Great price for the quantity. The menu is short, but there are ways to customize. I'd say I've never had such a stuffed pita sandwich - in a good way! It was a little wet, but the flavors were excellent. I needed a fork by the end, but that's a-ok. We got Turkish coffee, too, which was authentic and kept us peppy for the rest of our errands. (I didn't actually see it on the menu, so you might just have to ask if there's coffee.) Cute outside seating even though it's in a parking lot. They dressed it up really nicely.

Finally got around to picking up a falafel sandwich at the Falafel Place on Central Ave in Yonkers.  They were busy with several people in front of me and while I waited to order there were several who walked in with orders they had placed online. There were a couple of tables available to dine in. There was sanitizer when you walked in and all staff were wearing masks and gloves. Besides the Falafel sandwich I picked up a lentil soup and side pita for my husband.  What a difference between freshly made pita and the one from the supermarkets! My husband said the soup was ok. It was a bit watery but it had nice flavor. The Falafel Sandwich was very good. Made in pita bread with hummus, falafel, salad (cucumbers, etc) and tahini for $7.  The sandwich had a slight kick and I'm a spice wimp so it would be mild for most people. I enjoyed it so will return when the Falafel mood strikes again! You won't go hungry after chowing down on this very flavorful and delicious Mediterranean staple.

Run- don't walk- to get the falafel at this place. In an unassuming little storefront on Central Ave in Yonkers, where there are alot of other food options around, is this little haven for your favorite fried chickpeas. The pita is pillowy soft. The falafel are fresh, herbal and everything you want in a crunchy bite. They fill the sandwich with plenty of falafel, tahini and a super-fresh salad of tiny, chopped-up cucumbers and tomatoes. And don't be shy when using their hot sauce - it makes everything zing! This will most definitely be a stop I make again and again! I'll also be getting more of their lemonade...

Have been here last year in the summer when they were giving free samples - was great then. I loved it but it's not on my way to anywhere so haven't been back since. The place has a very small menu but it's big on flavor & it's vegetarian & vegan friendly - no meat dishes. I was in the area last week so stopped by, ordered the Falafel Sandwich X4 & a side order of tzatziki - to go. The sandwiches are big. The pita is not your store bought pita. It's fluffy, not skinny. The falafels are crispy on the outside & nice and moist on the inside. Loved the green sauce on the side - nice heat. My son & I had to finish the sandwich in two sittings. My spouse & other son finished them in one sitting. I could just eat the tzatziki by itself. I will make sure that this place is on my way to somewhere in the future

I went twice this week to the Falafel Place in White Plains. I was in Yonkers and decided to give this Falafel Place a try. They're in a mall, with plentiful parking. The service was excellent and the food was just as delicious as their White Plains location. I had the 3 sides for $13.50- French fries were four stars and the perfect falafel balls and flavorful lentil/rice sides were five star. I chatted the clerk behind the counter and found out the original Falafel Place is on the Upper West Side. I'm glad I'll be able to enjoy such falafel in my NYC. I'm sure they'd be a hit in my Queens Forest Hills neighborhood, in case they're looking for additional expansion sites!

Last year was the first time I tried this place. This review is about my experience here & the stars are based on the business ethic not the food. This place is very clean and inviting. Its a Kosher establishment. My regular order is always a falafel sandwich with pickles & beets. The falafel itself is tasty, moist not hard, its not dry or overly crispy, but soft & well seasoned. The pita sandwich is generously stuffed with falafel balls, cucumber, tomato, tahini, with a green herb sauce on the side. Initially, I expected them to put pickled vegetables in the falafal to add layers of flavor but its not included. And a falafel without pickled veggies leaves a lot to be desired, so soon I started to request the pickles & beets in my following orders. I really enjoy the falafel here, I use to eat here twice a week, but in the past year their price for the falafal sandwich has gone from $6 to $8.50, and now they charge you 50 cents extra for beets & extra for sauce? Im not sure why their prices continue to go up; they have a good steady stream of customers, & appear to be doing well. Raising their prices so drastically definitely makes me feel uncomfortable coming here. Their ingredients aren't organic & their sandwiches are vegetarian take out meals? Considering that they are now charging nearly $10 for my falafal, a $4 increase within a year is crazy. As much as I enjoy eating here, I will be looking for more affordable options for good falafals in the neighborhood. Halal guys is meant to opening nearby soon. Review to follow. Happy Yelping.
