Every time I finish shopping at BJ's, I pass by this place on my way out. I've been wanting to give…read morethis place a try for a while. We finally made it here one night for an early dinner. The place is pretty big, with white walls, a super high ceiling, fake grass plastered to the top of one of the walls, and mounted TVs showing menu items and regular TV. Black tables and chairs make up the front of the restaurant while booth seats make up the back area. It is fast casual where you place your order with the cashier and find a table. They'll bring the food to you when it's ready. We ordered the following: Sabich- Hubs and I liked this a lot. It's been a while since we had this and the moment I saw it on the menu, I knew I had to have it. Hubs loved the Israeli salad on the inside. Sabich reminds me of Miznon, which is great. I loved this and would order it again. Beef kufta skewer with rice and beans; fried zucchini sticks- It's beef kuftas on 2 skewers. Daughter liked this and thought it was soft and good. I loved the fact that the beef kufta was served in a skewer. I had it like this one other time in Canada and this brought me back to that time. Hubs wished it was lamb. LOL.The zucchini sticks were nicely fried. Be warned that there is an 8% service charge here. We didn't get the receipt but I saw it on the cash register screen. The entrance is a little tricky to get in. You can only get in as if you're going into BJ's/Starbucks. I didn't realize that until I passed the entrance and had to make a U-turn. Once you pass that entrance on Route 9, that's it. The strip mall only has an exit onto Route 9. Overall, service was friendly and quick. Will return when in the area to try other items on the menu.

Our party of four met here for a kosher dairy lunch. The place is nice with plenty of seating and…read morethe staff is attentive and helpful. We ordered a Fettuccine Alfredo, a truffle grilled cheese, a blackened salmon sandwich and an eggplant Parmesan on a bed of pasta. We heard their pizza is good, but we weren't in the mood for pizza. The fettuccine was nice as was the truffle grilled cheese. I was told the blackened salmon was missing that little bit of spice usually found with a blackened dish. The eggplant Parmesan contained ricotta cheese between the slices which we were okay with, but the eggplant breading was a little overdone. For us, this place seems hit or miss and we're thinking we should have tried the pizza since that was a more popular dish. Maybe we'll get back there to try the pizza.

If you're going for kosher dairy food in Lakewood, this place is probably one of two good places in…read morethe area. Difference here is that these guys know dough and pizza, which means their pizzas (and dessert calzones) will be great. We went on a busy weekend and they had both indoor and outdoor seating. Pizzas were great, and some very funky. There's one with onion rings and bbq sauce, another with mini mozzarella sticks (which is basically just cheese on cheese), and more with roasted cauliflower or broccoli under some more cheese. My advice here is really to try and stick with the stuff with tomato sauce. Would be nice if they incorporated arugula or truffle like some of the more modern NYC Italian restaurants do. Appetizers is where it's at. We didn't try fries, but we did try the tuna tostadas (fish seemed pretty fresh and it was kind of like a crunchy rice), and the nachos (really good and cheesy). This place probably ain't a great idea if you're lactose intolerant. For dessert you definitely want to try the nutella/oreo calzone. Save room. Some minor issues I had was that the service was pretty lacking. Waiters didn't care to properly serve customers and seemed to have an impatient attitude. People that came to bring extra utensils didn't take back our dirty dishes, and for the second half of the meal our table was full of dirty plates. Also the bathroom was used as storage for other stuff, was not clean, and the camera to flush the toilet didn't work. They should put some more money into the staff, clean bathrooms a bit better, and maybe install camera systems for better management. Just my two cents.

Mind you I despise eating Greek as we travel into NYC 5 boroughs and have eaten at some incredible Greek establishments. The restaurant decor is clean and styled as if you are in Greece. Very light and pleasant. Service was excellent and I ordered the large Greek salad to split with wife, Gyro platter for myself and wife ordered Avgolemono soup. Salad came very fast, romaine lettuce, peppers, cucumbers, tomatoes, red onions, feta and olives which were above average and pepperoncini peppers. Salad was a solid 9! In season tomatoes would've clearly brought up to a 10. Gyro platter was served with fries, rice or potatoes which I chose and simply delicious. Also came with a small bed of salad and tzatziki sauce. An unbelievable portion size and quality another solid 9. Serving size I would give an 11! Wife's soup was also delicious and between half a salad and cup of soup, she couldn't finish and had to take home. A wonderful dining experience and this will be on our lists of stops. A true gem and the staff made you feel welcome and wanted! Can't wait to go back!!
