To be clear, for this review, I am basing my review of fajitas with a five star being Pappasitos. I didn't want to make the drive and chose to pick a restaurant close to my Xmas shopping. Craving chicken fajitas I thought I'd try Fajita Willie's, what place better to eat fajitas than a place named after them? Boy was I wrong. To be fair, this place is pretty decent if I was going for Mexican in Wyoming or Alaska. For Texas though, it should be illegal to name yourself after a food that you can't at least cook decently. One fajita tasted like it was straight out of a grocery store bag and the second one was the first stale tortilla I have had, more like eating a paper plate. It's only a slight exaggeration to say the chicken was pounded to flat dry cardboard. The salsa was not too far from Ragu. The pico was likely from yesterday, the rice was close to boil in a bag with some corn and carrot, and the charro beans... meh. The house margarita was lime forward without the balance that most mom and pop places can achieve. To be fair, the guacamole was fresh and the service was friendly, and for that I gave them an extra star. read more
