They looked almost too pretty to eat, but they tasted even better than they looked. The chocolate pecan soft cookies are the real star. I am now insanely obsessed. They're soft, rich, and packed with chocolate and pecans, and I've been dreaming about them since the day I tried them. I especially enjoyed the crust, it had a really nice texture and taste. We also tried the Norwegian crepe. It was okay, but honestly, it wasn't quite as good as I expected. The cream served on the side, however, was really good! We finished with some plain beignets to take to go. They were good, but probably not something I would order again. Overall, the staff was friendly, the restaurant had beautiful decor, and the bathrooms were clean. I would definitely come back if I'm in the area, but next time I'll try a different crepe!

I read the reviews about Arandas- and their website too, as it's quite a story, and as it was right off the highway, we decided to stop. When you enter the bakery, it's HUGE. And they have fresh buns in case after case after case- I'm not sure what exactly we picked- an elote, a cava? , a buttery croissant, and some other buns that were cute (like shaped like turtles), and they were just delicious. The bakery had the trays and tongs (similar to Chinese bakeries), and the buns were priced so cheap too- buns being about 30-50 cents each. And they were soooo fresh. The cakes looked amazing too- as I was looking at the prices, I was kind of jealous I didn't live in the area, as the cakes were very reasonably priced, and if the cakes were as good as their breads, I'm sure it would have been phenomenal.
