Ordered my wedding cake from Vernele's and would highly recommend!! It was beautiful and delicious. They were so easy to work with and went above and beyond to make the day go smoothly! They have some awesome flavor choices and are competitively priced. Thanks Linda!!

Beautiful cakes and they taste wonderful!! We won't buy our cakes from anyone else! They have flexible hours and really work to satisfy the customer!

I had told them about my bad experience with another bakery. Even though it was a last minute order I placed on Wednesday for it to be ready by Saturday afternoon, the cake was gorgeous, delicious, and moist! The cake never fell off sideways from the base while sitting on top of my lap nor did it fall apart. I would definitely go back here! I forgot which flavor I got but this flavor was very good! I also got white chocolate ganache on top. The picture inspiration compared to what I got also looked very similar except I opted out on the macaroons and the chocolate covered strawberries on top.

Adorable front entrance!

I was just visiting my brother in town and saw this place on Main St. When you walk in, there's so much to look at! It's a gorgeous place to grab some coffee and pastries. I got a hot latte with lavender and hazelnut (and oat milk): it was PERFECT!! My brother got the seasonal gingerbread chai latte and loved it! The breakfast sandwich (with bacon and swiss) was so tasty and very filling. Also, the staff knew what they were talking about and really made us feel welcome. I definitely will be returning!!!

I need a cake for my mothers birthday, so I called talked to them over the phone about what I want . The plan seem pretty simple, but when I have received the cake it was horrible. I've never had a cake that dry and flavorless before. Pretty sure I could have mad a better one . would not recommend this place the only reason I give it one star is because I can't give 0 .

I placed the Minnie Mouse on top.

I want to say, Amy is very sweet and tried to fix the mistake that was made the best she could. That being said... I called and emailed pictures of what I wanted for my daughters first birthday party. It was a simple two dozen cup cakes and a smash cake. I wanted to be sure to get exactly what I wanted, so I personally stopped by the shop and placed the order with Amy. She assured me everything will be ready and delivered on Nov. 19th. I placed this order a few weeks ahead to be sure it was done right. I tried to call and could not get in touch with anyone most of the day on the 19th. I left a message and around 5pm when the order was to be delivered, Amy called and apologize said my order was misplaced. She will stay and make the order and bring it asap. My party started at 6pm. I wanted a vanilla smash cake, she only had chocolate ( not the end of the world) so I agreed. I got a call around 6pm staying she is on her way with my order. When Amy got to my house, she apologized again and gave me a full refund. I could tell she was embarrassed and had tears in her eyes. I understand things happen. I didn't expect this order to be so bad. The smash cake was very cold inside and not smashable. The color of the cake was great, the flowers were kind of sloppy but again no big deal considering it was about to be demolished by my daughter. I wish I had tried the cup cakes ahead of time but the shop did not have many to try. No one at the party liked the buttercream icing. It did not taste like a true butter cream. My daughter loved smashing into what she could of the cake, had fun with the icing. We enjoyed watching her do it. Unfortunately I wished this order had gone differently. Again Amy is very sweet and tried her best to fix the mistake.

So glad this place is in the woodlands. Cupcakes are a must try too. So fresh, and the icing is some of the best you will ever eat. I don't come often because parking is always a nightmare, and tonight was no exception. When I showed them the app, the staff seemed confused on how to do a redemption. So they had to call the owner for help. The owner apparently told them not to honor the redemption because they were in the process of switching rewards program platforms, and what used to be a 50‑point reward was going to be a 300‑point reward. The staff said my points would transfer eventually, but I only will have 63 -- not enough under the new system. Hey, I'm no entrepreneur. But I am a customer who eats out all the time. And to me this is a textbook example of an owner who doesn't get customer service. I drove all the way there, dealt with the parking, and came specifically to redeem a reward that still showed as valid in their app. It's not my fault their system hadn't switched over yet. These cakeball and truffle treats are only the size of a donut hole. It's not one of their higher end desserts. The obvious right move would've been to honor the reward and give the customer the treat. But nope. They chose the stingy route instead. And with that one decision, they lost another customer. Congrats and enjoy your cakeballs.

If you stop anyone on the road and ask , maybe dont, its not the good old times...lol... but if you did ...and asked for a good eatery around, they will without fail direct you to Paulette's. Its a bakery cum lunch place. They close by around 3 pm if I remember correctly..... It was a slightly drizzly but hot afternoon when we stopped here. I really wanted something cold, so settled for Frappe. The rest of the order consisted of an eclairs, a pizza, and some macaroons. Everything came out fresh and just so fragrant, maybe it was the hunger...no, I remember distinctly my eyes expectingly looking at the kitchen door from where I could the see pizza getting made...so it must have been the smell.... Macaroons were tiny, but good, the eclairs was really good A great stop, they do close early like most stores around the area so if you want a bite, stop here first, then explore.

My daughter wanted pizza before our show at The Crighton, so we decided to walk around downtown…read moreConroe and try a restaurant we hadn't been to before. Since it was in the evening, we were the only ones there which made for a nice, quiet experience. We ordered the Margherita pizza and it was really cheesy with good flavor. I especially enjoyed the crust, it had a really nice texture and taste. We also tried the Norwegian crepe. It was okay, but honestly, it wasn't quite as good as I expected. The cream served on the side, however, was really good! We finished with some plain beignets to take to go. They were good, but probably not something I would order again. Overall, the staff was friendly, the restaurant had beautiful decor, and the bathrooms were clean. I would definitely come back if I'm in the area, but next time I'll try a different crepe!

Pumpkin Spice Concha Surprise…read more I drove after work to this bakery in Conroe to see if they have the "Pan de Muerto," Bread of the Dead, for Day of the Dead celebration. Was I surprised not only to see the traditional sweet Mexican pastries and the Pan de Muerto but I was surprised to see the Pumpkin spice Concha going viral from the well know bakery in all soical medias. I cannot emphasize enough, their Pumpkin Spice Concha is absolutely amazing. The bread is soft while the Pumpkin filling is rich and creamy, keeping the bread moist. Let's not forget the sweet baked icing that brings the Concha it's popularity. But in all honesty, this bakery is absolutely great because it really makes the Mexican Sweet Bread just like I remember in Mexico. I tasted the other wonderful pastries bread that I couldn't stop eating. I would highly recommend coming to this bakery, especially if your looking to find the Pumpkin Spice Concha, without having to wait so long at the other bakery.

I have tried diffrent days diffrent hours and no matter what they are always serving old bread. My guess is they refuse to have any loses so they refrigerate fresh bread until old bread is sold, either way you end up with hard bread. The flavor and appearance of the bread is great and they are made and baked well but it's always hard and old. I hope they start putting out fresh baked bread everyday bc they would be a 10/10 if they did.
