She made sure my family's coffee cups never went empty, constantly checked on us without hovering, and somehow managed to keep everything flowing smoothly even while the restaurant was packed. One thing that really stood out to me was how caring she was toward my service dog. Not everybody pays attention to those little details, but she did immediately. I ordered the Trio Breakfast with a plain waffle specifically for him, and without me even having to repeat myself, she made sure there was absolutely no butter or syrup on it because she remembered it was for my dog. I told my family I wish I could throw Makayla, Aaron, and the million dollar potatoes into my suitcase and bring them all back home to California with me . Unfortunately, there are no First Watch locations in California, which honestly feels criminal at this point. To Makayla and Aaron: thank you for making a pregnant woman, her family, and her service dog feel genuinely cared for. In a busy brunch restaurant, that level of hospitality is rare, and it absolutely did not go unnoticed. We will remember this experience for a very long time.
