So you expect me to go re rack my weights after every set and make my service animal get up and down and up and down every 2 minutes to be at my side?? No sir. Service animals obviously not welcome at this gym. And before the service animal confrontation he said I could not grunt. No grunting at a powerhouse gym. Corporate will be hearing from me.

It one big room, no real dividers. There are a lot of different machines and options. I really liked that there is a separate space just for women. That area/room has its own machines. I wish there were more options in that area. I didn't workout in the women's area. I just went to normal area. Lots of people for a Friday night. I had to find the machines I wanted as I'm not a regular here. I liked that the treadmill area had fans above them, or at least the cardio machine I used did lol. There is a kid space for them to be entertained while parents workout. There's also tanning bed area. In addition, there's a shake bar. You can get regular shakes, protein, or weight loss options. Again. I was pleasantly surprised by the gym. I would go back.

ZERO STARS‼ -- if I could give less, I would. THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY‼ Charged $50 AFTER…read morecancellation‼ This was easily the worst experience I've ever had at any gym. I was doing a normal workout and got hit with the Lunk Alarm for "dropping" 40 lb dumbbells -- even though I wasn't dropping them. I was simply setting them down after my set. Anyone who actually lifts knows that weights make some noise when you're putting in effort. I calmly went to the front desk and asked if the alarm was for me. The employee said yes and accused me of dropping the weights. I explained that I wasn't, and she told me to "use lighter weights and work up if they're too heavy." If I'm lifting them, clearly they're not too heavy. Her tone was rude, condescending, and completely unprofessional. I then asked to cancel my membership. Instead of helping, she raised her voice, refused to cancel it, and threatened to call the police if I didn't leave. As I was leaving, I took a picture of the wall with the Lunk Alarm to document the situation -- not of her or any member. She started yelling again, telling me to "get out before she calls the cops again." Now I've been told I'm not allowed to come back to the gym at all. This is pure retaliation. I did nothing wrong other than stand up for myself and ask for my membership to be canceled. Planet Fitness advertises itself as a Judgment Free Zone, but this location couldn't be further from that. The staff's behavior was hostile, discriminatory, and completely out of line. I've filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and am looking into legal options. If you value respect, professionalism, or a real workout environment, avoid this place at all costs.

I would give the gym 5 stars if not for a few inconveniences: 1. The women's sauna (in bathroom) is "out of order" nearly everytime I have went to use it. 2. The infrared pod has been out of order multiple times, so still haven't used that yet 3. The cryogenic machine has been down a few times but it looks to be better now that it isn't being used as much as it was grand opening week. I hope I get to use that soon. The facility has already said they will be adding sign up slots for the cryogenic machine, as well as roping off the recovery machines since it is an additional fee to the base membership. Lastly, the bathrooms should have paper towels, not just hand dryers. Sometimes I like to wipe my face or my armpits after a workout and prefer to not do it with toilet paper. My husband said someone even brought a roll of paper towels into the men's bathroom, which was then overflowing out of the trash cans because the trash wasn't taken out. I am not sure if the facility has shower towels. They aren't in the bathroom but may be available at the front desk.

When I signed…read moreup, I told the sales rep I live outside the country half the year and would need to freeze after three months - I was told that would not be an issue. At the end of July, I requested a freeze in person at the Hendersonville location. The representative assured me it would be frozen. I was charged the full September membership anyway. When I called, a manager admitted the front desk hadn't processed my freeze correctly and told me he was correcting the account and processing a refund. That never happened. The operations manager then refused the refund, saying there was "no documentation" of my freeze request - as if a customer should record themselves making an in-person request at the front desk. I was told I needed to fill out a freeze form, I'm not sure how I would know that if I was not told by the employee when requesting the freeze. The entire team is extremely unorganized and continually shifted blame amongst themselves or told me that this was my problem. I asked them to check security footage of the exchange as that is the only documentation I have even giving them an exact date and time and they refused. If I could give the gym 0 stars, I would.
