Fairview Park is Costa Mesa's largest park spanning 195 acres. It also has another 13 acres of natural landscape and trails. The park is located next to Estancia High School. Of course, the park is huge and there is lots of parking. There are plenty of grassy areas for soccer and picnics. They have restrooms but weren't the cleanest. The dirt paths are trails for walking, running, and biking. It's a great place for a lunch picnic or a long walk or morning hike.

I see fields of Green - I know it's trees in the lyrics but I didn't take any in this photo

This is such a beautiful park we have been coming here for many years. Just to have lunch or feel the breeze of the wind and to take a nice beautiful walk! I love this park they don't have a play area but there is a beautiful field of yellow flowers and a nice path you can walk if you're feeling up to that, you can bring your dogs too which is amazing I used to bring my dog Holly here all the time. Perfect park to visit and very peaceful and you get the beach breeze which is wonderful. I also saw my friend Adriana from yelp wrote a review here as well! It's a fantastic park to visit for a picnic or walk or even bringing your flying toys or remote cars around. Have a beautiful day :) Aloha

Very cool park that I had no idea existed. Clean restrooms and covered benches. There are lots of trails going all different ways. One of them leads to the Santa Ana River Trail, which is only 3 miles from the ocean. Some of the other trails are dirt and hilly; that's where you'll see some remote control cars racing, flipping, crashing and getting some serious air! The park extends to both sides of Placentia Ave with a bridge that you can take to get to the side with the mini train ride. It's not a big area, but it has a lot to offer.

This park is a hidden gem in OC. Parking is free with a sizable parking lot. From the parking lot, you can take an assortment of trails throughout the park (see map photo). There is a cool bridge that connects you to the east side trails. On the north side, there are stair cases that take you down to the west side which eventually connects Fairview Park with Talbert Regional Park. From here, you can take the Talbert trails south. Not much shade throughout, but pretty quiet and not too crowded since I don't think this place is very well known. There is some grass area surrounding the parking lot where I saw bathrooms and some picnic tables. Very dog friendly and a good amount of bikers. The trails are mostly flat but still very enjoyable and scenic.

Make sure to visit the interconnected parks of talbert south regional and canyon. Together, making a fun filled day for hiking, biking , and hiking.

If you want a nice walk with nature sounds I really recommend this park! It has a secret passage dowstairs too you just need to explore!

Everyone can find a trail! In the heart of Costa Mesa, you can immerse yourself in nature.

Amazing sunset views

One of my favorite parks to watch a sunset from with my pup. This park is positioned right on top of a hill so you can see almost out to the ocean as you watch the sunset. I really love that this park is free (not at all parks are free), had an ample amount of parking spaces, and that this park is dog friendly. It seemed like a lot of families come here to play and have picnics, while lots of dog owners bring their 4 legged best friend(s) with them to walk around the hilly, dirt trail, or even the grass area since this park is so big. All dogs have to be on leashes and dog parents have to be responsible and pick up after their pooch. There is also a very large bathroom building with water fountains to keep people and their pooches well hydrated. This park isn't necessarily in my area, but it was most definitely worth the drive to enjoy this sunset with my pup - the perfect way to relax after a long day.

Very huge park! When you first start walking on the trail once parked, it seems like just a lot of dry brush but if you keep walking down the path, it leads you to a staircase where you will be led down to another park! Talbert park I believe. Once you go down the stairs, there's so many different paths to take. The only thing that was sketch was seeing some young boys riding very fast through a trail with pedestrians on their electric bikes. Other than that, the park is lovely and peaceful. Easy to get 10k steps in since scenery is beautiful.

Finally made it to this park ! So glad I did! Free parking and entry Bridges Water spots - didn't see them all but will trek back Stairs Greenery everywhere! Dog friendly Dog bags available throughout Some benches - but so much to see may not want to sit Walker jogger runner friendly Bicyclist friendly though they may not warn you they are coming close (I didn't hear any bells or warnings) Gravel or dirt road Flower cactus open fields So many different trails and paths to zig zag around Saw 2-3 bathroom facilities Very clean open eyes pathways hardly any trash litter seen The fog made it so much better! It was easy to wander Many photo moments and still had phone reception in case worry for safety A must return with my doggy! People were nice and provided some tips what is around Talbert park appears to connect

The park here is so nice! They have plenty of parking - I've never had trouble finding a spot. They have lots of dogs here, either on the grass or on the hiking trail. The "hiking" trail isn't really much of a hike as it is a dirt path trail. There was some incline but it wasn't even a mile long (unless you loop it).

tl,dr: Fun! Awesome sights. Likes: + Free parking. Plenty of car spots, but pretty crowded. + Several bike racks. + There was a police officer or security guard keeping lookout. + Has two restroom pavilions. + The park is a large web of trails good for running and biking. + Sweeping views of Santa Ana River, the mountains, and Huntington Beach. + Large ecological preserve to help sustain the amphibians, birds, crustaceans, and insects. + The ambience is pretty polite. + An aesthetic bridge crosses Placentia Ave. + An aesthetic staircase smack-dab in the middle of the Park. haha + There are some decent mounds for some nice BMX tricks. People like to play their RC cars or ride their roverboards on them too. Non-likes: - Restrooms don't have soap or hand sanitizer. - Main P lot has only one entrance/exit. However, there seems to be a 2nd smaller P lot on Canyon Dr. Interesting.

It was fun watching the sunset and the park is so peaceful I can't even get up and walk around in the rain without a jacket and I can't get up in time for the sun and it's just a beautiful sunny morning here and it's beautiful and I don't have a good time I don't have any money I have a lot to myself and I'm just so happy that I'm going out and about and I'm not even sure

Is this a stroller friendly hike?

Hey! I really want to find the bridge as well as the steps from the amazing pictures on this Yelp! I've never been here before, just looking for some help since this park/hike seems huge! Does anyone know where the bridge and the stairs are?

The easiest way to get there is probably to park at the end of pacific. If you walk straight back you will run into the stairs on your left. Once you go down the stairs if you continue that same direction (north) you will end up by the bridge.… Read more

I could even see all the way to Catalina last time I visited. The El Moro Canyon trails are found inside Crystal Cove State Park and there are quite a few of them. They're well maintained with lots of info signs so they're easy to follow - but they're also all on AllTrails. I did the Short Loop Trail on my last visit which ended up being just over 3 miles long with 500 feet elevation gain. Most of the gain is in the first part as you take the "Poles" cut through and it's a real butt burner - but fun and worth it! A great workout. The birding is excellent here - you get a nice mix of riparian habitat and coastal birds as well. After my hike, I relaxed at the beach a bit and it was a lovely way to wind down. There are some tide pools at the north end and plenty of space to relax on the sand as well. There's a pedestrian underpass to get to the beach so you don't have to cross busy Hwy 1 - and this is the most unpleasant part of the park - you have to wade through some pretty icky standing water to get to the beach. It's ankle to calf deep and the ground is very uneven so I highly recommend water shoes - who knows what's submerged in there :P But everything else about the park is great - lots of clean bathrooms, outdoor showers to rinse off the salt and sand, shaded picnic tables, a huge amphitheater, and plenty of paved parking. Day use fee is $15 and you can pay by QR code or at the entrance.

Have told mee several times she loves this hike and it's a good hike where it's a bit more busier than other hiking trails that you feel safe to go to. Started the hike a little late morning around 11:15 a.m. and finished right before 12:40 p.m. A little over 4 miles. We went to a much easier hike trail. Where it was much shading area until you enter the hiking trail and then it was full of sun. Luckily it was a bit breezy so wasn't too fully hot. There's different areas to park, some where it's free of charge and they have the main parking where supposedly have av actual public restroom for $ 3. We parked near some residential area. Right before entering the entrance where the trail started, there was about 5 porter potties available. As all hikes there are warning signs of Rattlesnakes, poison ivy, mountain lions etc. Located in Tustin borderline of Orange. Not too far from Irvine Regional park off Jamboree. Will definitely return to hike here and check out the different trails.

And a hidden cove?…read more Instagram and TikTok have probably made this once obscure beach in Corona del Mar way too popular, but back in the day, while the parents were beachgoing at nearby Corona del Mar State Beach, we preteens and early teenagers were exploring the caves at Pirate's Cove and scrambling all over the sometimes dangerous rocks. But our moms weren't within eyesight or earshot, so we ran and climbed and splashed and wrestled. It felt like every time I came here, I cut my hands or arms or shins on the rocks, but I didn't care, because I was learning independence, and I didn't dare complain in front of my friends. The sandy part of the beach itself can get completely swallowed by the high tide, so plan ahead. The Newport Harbor Jetty (and, to a lesser extent, the CDM State Beach Jetty) protect(s) the beach from waves, so there's no real bodyboarding or bodysurfing to be had. That's probably a good thing, too, because these rocks would be treacherous if this beach weren't completely enclosed within Newport Bay's entrance channel. The metal fences separating the deeper parts of the caves always scared me. I realized the fencing was to prevent children from getting where adults couldn't fit, because high tides could mean drowning or otherwise getting hurt, but it was still spooky. I believe my friend Michael tried to bend back the metal, but he couldn't, despite how rusty and old it seemed. The stairs down to the beach are much nicer and sturdier than they used to be. Otherwise, it looks and feels the same as it did thirty-five years ago.
