There is a playground up at the entrance but extremely limited parking, perhaps like 3 spaces. The sand in the playground needs to be better maintained. There was debris and trash in it. No restrooms. The lack of parking and no restrooms makes this a 3/5 vs 4/5 We do our family shoot here which I would saw was a great place.

The trails also connect by bridge into Costa Mesa, where you can grab coffee or food after your workout. The people on the trails are friendly, and the park workers are always courteous, stopping their trucks to let pedestrians pass. Wildlife is part of the experience, so be aware of coyotes, snakes, rabbits, and squirrels. I also recommend staying aware of your surroundings and avoiding walking alone in the early morning or late evening. Whether you're looking for a relaxing walk with a friend, a quick mile, or marathon training, Fairview Park is awesome!

Note: be careful to avoid parking across the street under the pine trees. Indeed, they do actively drip sap which is super hard to clean off of your car. The park is open during daylight hours (HB Park Rules: http://www.huntingtonbeachca.gov/residents/parks_facilities/parks/huntington_central_park/park_rules.cfm) and is a very family friendly park. There are swing sets and picnic benches to make the most of the park. Not a huge space for significant walking, so this is not a hiker's park. But the open green space does make it friendly for playing fetch with your dog, tossing the frisbee around, or light tossing of a ball for a little arm practice. If you're going to Sunday services at St Wilfred's Episcopal or the Lutheran Church on Chapel Lane, this park would offer an lovely apres-church location for a late morning or early afternoon picnic.

From a redesigned dog park, new bridge layout by the lake, the city / community horse park and or horse riding range has only seen exponential growth. In high school much of the park was around the lake the playground and the nature center. Since then, the area has seen a Renaissance! Such great layouts, such vision to make the park a joy to visit. The the urban forest has been a tiresome endeavor. From just a few trees and a new trail, its a been a labor of love. Now the the park has multiple trails, separate mini eco areas of interest and bikers horses hikers and walkers joggers can enjoy the area..pets, with leash can have a wonderful time relaxing after a day at the dog park. Overall, it has around 1 to 2 miles.of trails, many picnic tables and a grand view for photo takers. Couple with other areas.of the park, you can easily make it into a 5 mile course. Parking, thats the hard part. Small area by Ellis street, around 4 spots, safely. I would recommend the golden west side, by dog park you'll find enough space there. In addition, a nice trail will lead you to the urban forest. Now , for bikers, you must be careful, slow speeds. For horses , a relaxing stroll. For walkers and runners, it will be a great time. Access for bathrooms, water fountains, and facilities, most located by the main park. Overall, a strong 3.95 to 4 25. Clean place Safe place Multiple uses Missing... water fountains and parking and more trails for runner or walkers to the south east.

It's a private park for residents only but you should be fine if you don't cause any trouble. There's a very small parking lot with only a couple spots but there's lots of street parking in the neighborhood. Most of the park is just a large grassy area. There's a playground, a pool but seemingly only for residents, and that's about it. We saw rusty benches so it looks like it's not well-maintained.
