I came here looking to rent an apartment. I went to the office and it's very nice and well kept. They offered me some water and coffee while I waited to be seen. There was a woman who came in just to get coffee and left. I thought that was nice because even though it's a big complex everyone knew the lady by name and said good morning to her. They had a really good special going for $100 for security deposit which I thought was awesome because everyone else around here asks for at least two months worth of rent to be able to move in. I didn't wind up renting an apartment from them only because they needed a decision really quickly and I'm just starting out my search. I have it narrowed down between them and one other place but I need to be sure before I pay an application and holding fee (even though they said you get the holding fee put towards your rent). I just thought I would spread some positivity over here because I didn't get the vibe everyone says they got from the office.

PLEASE NOTE: My review is for 300 Riverfront. UPDATE: NOTHING HAS CHANGE! The new construction…read moresite. Complete joke. PLEASE DO NOT MOVE HERE!!! There are so many new and up and coming properties in Bergen County that give you more bang for your buck. They have moved people in with ongoing construction. Many residents complain about their apartment having leaks. None of the appliances work. There is not one "luxury" detail here. Cars have been stolen in the covered parking areas. Residents do not clean up after their dogs. Residents have complained to me that they hear gun shots from the shooting range that is on the property. The building has no number out front so packages are constantly lost. Management send messages on the butterfly app that make you feel like you are residing in a dorm. Constantly telling you they will enter your apartment. Fire alarm goes off daily. Elevator makes this loud screeching sound when ever used. Cops always on property due to residents fighting mind you this property opened Dec 2022. No cameras to see who stole vehicles. Cameras are in front of the building and in common areas (mostly used to stalk residents) No trash cans on property. Peter is rude and mike sends messages with Mike the owner when making threats after you complain. Management question visits if they are on the lease or ask who they are visiting (This is not converge service the building has none). $3200 for a 2 bed 2ba to hear drilling Monday - Saturday from 6a - 6p 6 days a week. Construction workers park any and everywhere. No amenities are available yet. They promised us March 2023. Pool might hold 10 people comfortably when it is finished with construction. Grill area does not exist. "dog walk" is a sh!t show literally no one cleans after their dog. Management wants you to put in work order through them via email instead of maintenance or portal. Save your time and money. Can't wait until my lease is up. They also accept low income housing / Section 8 here. They recently got rid of house keeping so now the maintenance woman has to clean the entire building on top of completing repairs. (They work her like a dog) She does building 300 along with 301 & 400. You will see "Mike the Owner" lurking from the new leasing office in building 300 just watching residents. I will continue to update as time goes on. Hoping other residents write reviews to EXPOSE the BS. I'm almost certain they will have a class action lawsuit for FRAUD!!! Oh and "Mike the Owner" is a lawyer who believes he is above the law perfect fit for a SLUM LORD!!!

this is for building 2000. Love the apartment. maintenance has been very responsive to our issues…read more(Nothing major). Brand new apartment we are the first ones to live here. neighbors are nice. My only issue is the construction going on 6 days a week. it would be nice to not have them work on weekends. #Justsayin'

Pros: Apartments and grounds are very well kept! The maintenance men, are really sweet and…read moreefficient. If something is in need of fixing, they are usually at your apartment within 24 hours. If it's an emergency, they come immediately (they live on premise, so that makes it easier). Centrally located to all major highways! Shop rite is not to far, there's a really great farmers market down the street as well! Bennigans is right across the street, and Midland Bagels is pretty delicious (please check my reviews for both Midland Bagels and Bennigans for more info) Cons: A tad expensive considering they don't have too many amenities (only one assigned parking spot, no gym on premise (which really isn't uncommon for a garden apartment), only two laundry rooms, etc) Laundry room, there are only two, each have 5 washers and 5 dryers (if they are all working, there have been many occasions where there have been multiple not working). No change needed, which is nice, but, you do have a rechargeable card, only problem with that, is that the re-load station is only located in one of the laundry rooms not both, which is a little silly Everything is electric, winter months, especially if very cold, PSE&G gets really expensive! To consider: The grounds are really nice, and it's a really quite complex. Some tenants, have portable grills, that they keep on their front stoop for some delicious grilled meats during the spring and summer months. They should consider putting in a little common area, which could have a few grills and picnic tables! Sometimes you just want a nice grilled steak and to enjoy it outside in the fresh air!

551 Centre Street Apartments are a nightmare (part of East Gate and managed by Legacy). Bugs,…read morenoisy neighbors, horrible washer/dryer sheet smells in apartments that also permeate throughout everything in your apartment (including my $1,700 mattress that I had to throw out b/c it smelled so bad!) and into your cars as the vents are full of lint that fall on vehicles. Cars were flooded in the past and were destroyed - as such, tenants moved out. If you have an issue with a noisy, harassing neighbor, you need to take them to the Nutley Court yourself as management will NOT intervene and abide by the Lease you sign. They also play funny with $ they owe you when you vacate. Steer clear and look elsewhere! I hope this doesn't get taken down as they pay companies to remove bad reviews.

Worst management and place ever! When we initially moved in…read more2017, it was good. However, the last 3 years were very bad. We resided there from 2017 to 2023. First, be careful if you still live there, as they stole $565 from our security deposit. Management sent an email stating that they would charge a cleaning fee, but then ultimately they used a portion of our security deposit to replace the washing machine?!! Which we left in a good condition!! We will be contacting a lawyer regarding that. If you are thinking about renting there, let me tell you about the issues we faced there in the last 2 years. Our packages were getting stolen, and the management did not do much until, we, "the residents", started reporting the incidents to the police, and the person who was stealing the packages still lives in the building until this moment! More than once , there was an unleashed pitbull running around the cars and in the kids area! Of course, I called the management and they did nothing as usual. Also, they charged us an entire month of rent for an empty apartment despite that we lived there for 6 years, and we never were late a day to pay our rent on time, even during COVID. A 45 days notice was not enough for them I guess! During our last year there, I didn't feel safe, and it was not worth the $2500 we were paying. We are glad to be out of this complex, and I will never recommend it to anyone.
