We're in a camper, so we preferred a place with good parking options. This laundromat is attached to an old strip mall, the parking was practically empty with big spaces for us. The prices aren't bad either. $5 something for a big'ish load and 25¢ per 5 minutes for the dryers. The only thing is that if you're using a card, it appears that you will have to wait and repay each 5 minutes, you can't choose to pay for 30 minutes. So I used quarters for the dryer and left to eat lunch. There's also a great Chinese place across the street, or a Wendy's in the parking lot. We're happy with our time here.

We pulled into town after a week in The White Mountains & the Acadia area, Lots of parking in their own lot as the town is a busy one. We loved the fact that we could take a walk during the wash cycle, right next door to the robust indoor farmers market. During the dry cycle, another walk around town. Belfast is a great town, lots to do, water front area. In no way did we even for a moment think it was disgusting, in fact, we felt like it was fabulous in every way & in no way unclean. I have used this facility several times since moving to town and every time I have seen and chatted with the friendly attendant. The machines are typically in good working order, they run on debit/credit card, there is also an in-house laundromat card system - I don't use that per say. While you wait there is excellent free Wi-Fi, need a snack? The facility is right next to a Cumberland Farms, and a local Chinese take-out (I'll try that soon and let ya know). There is plenty of parking and it's in the heart of Winthrop close to Hannaford, and other conveniences. I am happy having this little gem so close to where I live. It makes laundry day not feel so much like a chore. I would be remiss to add this is also a tanning bed salon for those looking to use that feature. Their customer service is so maddeningly bad that their employees have caused me to change my plans of doing three or four loads of laundry to one load and a brief dry more than once. I take the rest of my laundry somewhere else rather than do laundry in a hostile climate. And I live across the street. Yeah. It's that rude. They are just rude; they will change a $20 for you or explain how long a quarter will run a dryer, but they wont be nice about it. Their goal in communications seems to be "lower the desire of people to want to do their laundry here so I can clean less and do less mechanical upkeep". Its too bad because its a nice, clean place to do your laundry. It has a parking-lot. It couldn't be more centrally located. It has large capacity washers and dryers for huge loads or big blankets etc. It has regular sized washers for $2.00 a load and regular sized dryers that get you twelve minutes of dry time for 25 cents. They have vending machines that sell laundry aids, snacks, sodas... They have change-making machines but no ATM. It's too bad. Except for the employees, Belfast Coin Laundry is a good laundry-mat.

Their office hours are only 8am-11am so if they forget the trash you can't get ahold of them until the next day for someone to come get it. And they would send someone out the next day. The last straw was they didn't show up to pick up our trash so I called and left a message on their Facebook messenger and never got a reply. Turns out we didn't pay the last months bill but we also didn't receive a bill like normal. Instead of communicating this they just didn't pick up the trash and ignored our calls and messages.
