I'm not sure what this place is. The place is absolutely packed with rugs, jewelery, lights, stationary and endless little weird things. In fact everything in this place is weird. Sometimes just a little strange but still not quite right. The store smells strange although not in a bad way and even the people that work there are strange but in a extremely nice and friendly way. They sure love to talk. It's almost as if they don't really care if you buy anything they just want you to appreciate the strangeness of it all. My wife end up talking to a woman who works there about all types of strange and bizarre things for quite a while. I've never seen a store quite like this. Everything is strange, bizarre and not quite right but all in a very friendly and attractive way.

A delightful, mid coast, mid trip laundry adventure. Huge facility with plenty of washers & dryers,…read morerolling baskets and an attentive attendant ! We pulled into town after a week in The White Mountains & the Acadia area, Lots of parking in their own lot as the town is a busy one. We loved the fact that we could take a walk during the wash cycle, right next door to the robust indoor farmers market. During the dry cycle, another walk around town. Belfast is a great town, lots to do, water front area. In no way did we even for a moment think it was disgusting, in fact, we felt like it was fabulous in every way & in no way unclean. Great find !

The Good: *Housed in a really cool old building (ca.1911) *All the bags are hand-made in Portland, ME *Not just bags, but pillows, purses, and chairs. *Friendly service *All the bags are beautiful, and they have many great designs. The Meh: *Parking can be a hassle in DT Belfast, especially during the summer--but at least it's free! The Ugly: *Prices are pretty high, as the most inexpensive bag we saw was $75, and the higher end ones were closer to $250. Conclusion: Beautiful bags, but be prepared to pay the piper.

This LAUNDRY-MAT goes by the name BELFAST COIN LAUNDRY. Belfast needs a good laundry-mat and this…read moreplace succeeds in every category except for customer service. Their customer service is so maddeningly bad that their employees have caused me to change my plans of doing three or four loads of laundry to one load and a brief dry more than once. I take the rest of my laundry somewhere else rather than do laundry in a hostile climate. And I live across the street. Yeah. It's that rude. They are just rude; they will change a $20 for you or explain how long a quarter will run a dryer, but they wont be nice about it. Their goal in communications seems to be "lower the desire of people to want to do their laundry here so I can clean less and do less mechanical upkeep". Its too bad because its a nice, clean place to do your laundry. It has a parking-lot. It couldn't be more centrally located. It has large capacity washers and dryers for huge loads or big blankets etc. It has regular sized washers for $2.00 a load and regular sized dryers that get you twelve minutes of dry time for 25 cents. They have vending machines that sell laundry aids, snacks, sodas... They have change-making machines but no ATM. It's too bad. Except for the employees, Belfast Coin Laundry is a good laundry-mat.
