As a healthcare provider myself, and I can attest that he is thorough, knowledgeable, and uses true evidence based approaches, and it's always willing to answer questions. I'm not sure why there is so many negative comments, I never once was treated in the way the people were treated. Like I have always said, there are 3 sides to the truth and wow ain't that the truth. What a shame how far this practice has fallen. I was a patient for over 10 years and had a lovely doctor who unfortunately passed away. Since then it has never been the same. My last visit was with nurse practitioner Rachelle D'Angelo who took superiority and condescension to a new level. She was so incredibly rude and unprofessional, lectured me and belittled me. She clearly had one agenda which was to put me on meds and keep me on them despite the fact that I have demonstrated a desire to create wellness through lifestyle. Instead of partnering with me in this endeavor and expressing concern, I was subject to her harsh judgment, throwing her hands up and shaking her head at me. Any practice who would employ someone of her attitude does NOT deserve my business. I have left this practice solely due to this fact. read more

I'm surprised by how many people here seem to be happy with the care provided by Dr. Glenn Rich. Sadly, this has not been my experience. Initially, I was not bowled over by his demeanor, but I decided to trust his expertise. Since I only need to see him once a year I stuck with him for several years in spite of his mostly indifferent attitude toward me. It seemed to get even worse when he became a consierge doctor, which I am not a patient of. However, the treatment I received at my most recent visit was the straw that broke the camel's back. He treated me like my mere presence was somehow offensive to him and was arrogant to the point that I left feeling convinced that he simply does not want me for a patient. Mind you, I am rather reserved when it comes to doctor visits - I state my concerns, try to ask intelligent questions and don't talk out of turn - so there is absolutely no justification for his blatantly rude behavior. And yes, as so many of you have stated here the lack of courtesy and competency on the part of the office staff is astonishing and most definitely reflects back on the providers who choose to take a blind eye to it. I am currently looking for a new doctor, since there is no way in hell I will ever step back into this office. read more

Glen Rich is a competent doctor. He knows what he's doing. Where this place loses marks is the office staff. At best, indifferent, but at worst, argumentative and rude. The nutritional counselor on staff that I was sent to could not stop talking about her thesis, social media approaches to nutritional management or some such blather, and when I said repeatedly I don't use social media she just kept hammering it home, jabbering about apps for your phone and Facebook groups to join and going on and on about it, even after I said many times I don't do social media and I'm not an app junkie. What I asked for, and kept asking for was a diet to follow. She whipped out some printed handouts from a pharmaceutical company, the most general and basic information, and declared our meeting was over and that I really need to use social media to monitor my nutritional needs. Okay. Now on to billing. You must have a credit card on file with them to even walk in the door. This card is then charged WEEKS before you even see a bill. To me this is backward and lacks a level of professionalism. To be so hell-bent to get their hands on your money BEFORE they even tell you the services you are being billed for tells you where the emphasis is in this practice. I go there because I HAVE BEEN going there, however, I would advise a new patient to explore a different option. read more

As noted by others, the doctor is quite caring and knowledgeable (Dr Glenn Rich in my case), however getting past the shitty phone tree and indifferent front line staff is obnoxious at best. I can normally deal with their BS, but this week I threw out my back (rare for me) and called seeking muscle relaxants to get past the first day or so. (I have been a patient for several years, so they know if I am a junkie or not...). I was told I would have to come in and would not put the DR on the phone. I asked sarcastically if I should have the ambulance deliver me straight to their offices or the hospital and hung up. I spent 24 hours on my living room floor (used a water bottle if you catch my drift) and then tried my Chiropractor, Matt Leonard who came right over and walked me through the process of understanding what happened to me... which is basically all my muscles in the area are tensed up and I need to relax/stretch them to get mobile again (yeah, what muscle relaxants help with, right?) It took a couple of hours to get to that state and mobile shortly thereafter. Honestly a few minutes on the phone with Dr Rich would have yielded similar results, but NOPE, front line staff "did their job" and said "no". Its likely they are all the same... although I did not pay for their Concierge Service, so perhaps I should ask Dr Glenn at my next appointment if that additional $$ would have gotten me better treatment. read more

Dr. Rich is an amazing physician and I trust him implicitly with my healthcare. He is caring, compassionate, and intelligent. As noted by everyone else here, the office staff and phone system are less than subpar. The phone system leaves a lot to be desired, and the staff is just plain unfriendly, rude, and lack manners. I am always happy to see Dr. Rich but cringe when I have to call or speak to anyone other than him. read more

The Doctors are fine, but the service is terrible. When trying to reach the office you always hear a message that states the switch board is off and to call back during business hours.... guess what, I've been calling all day during your business hours. Just nonsense. Additionally, was called by the business to sign up for their concierge service. $2,000 per year per person. So if I don't sign up for this service I pretty much don't matter to Dr. Glenn Rich or his partnership. Poor move and terrible terrible office staff and technology. read more

Love Rachel and very confident in the care she provides. The office staff is absolutely terrible. Rude. Impatient. Customer service is so important and after 7 years going there, I have yet to have a good experience. There are lots of people looking for jobs out there - why would any employer put up with such disrespect. read more

Simply horrible. Rarely have I experienced such poor customer service. 1. If you aren't able to call the office during certain hours, you cannot leave a message. 2. The receptionists are surly. 3. I am still waiting for them to fill 'scrips for me, three weeks later. 4. Then the doctor - he's usually out, doesn't care about our health. Sad read more

Even though this facility has talented physicians all the partners in this group insist that they have a credit card on file & make you sign an acknowledgement form to that effect, just to make life more convenient for their billing office. They don't send invoices & for a standard office visit, they won't communicate with the doctor prior to your arrival to find out the necessary insurance code numbers & tell a patient how much the office visit will cost read more

Treatment of my wife was horrible. Not trying to judge the actual medical advice although they Poo-poo'd everything she told them. But the bedside or table side manner was awful and left her in tears. When I called to complain they hid behind HIPA and would talk to the poor people rather than medical response. Dr rich endocrinologist is a great doctor he has helped me out with everything I needed, but Stephanie Merck that works in his office she is a careless I have type 1 diabetes and have work towards the pump finally got started and using it she started me on the pump and then calls me on 1-5-2021 at 725am to tell me she no longer can continue seeing me while I have the pump hooked up to me now what do I do, over miss communication of my job, I've taken time off of work lost wages to see her, I've taken Covid-19 test to be safe for everyone and she still told me to hit the road I live with my mother who has stage 3 cancer we are very safe with the COVID situation but Stephanie Merck still didn't care she just dropped with issuing the pump with insulin and I don't understand it how to use it fully yet and she doesn't care she has put my life to the side when I have been taken every Precaution I know times are tough at this time for everyone but I thought doctors would understand the most but she my not be a doctor because she just left me very confused. The one word to sum up how I feel about this group is DISAPPOINTED. My son was a patient of Dr. Spano. He left for college, he didn't have any illness, and seeing the doctor wasn't an option due to a 4-hour trip home. He has since graduated from college, and wanted to see Dr. Spano once again. It was explained that Dr. Spano was no longer taking new patients, and since it had been some time since my son's last visit he would have to start all over again with a different doctor in the practice. That was fair. My son had to book an appointment about 4-5 months out with a different doctor in the same practice. Again, that was fair. Less than one week before my son's scheduled exam, he recieved in the regular mail a notice saying that the appointment was cancelled due to the doctor not being in the office that day - it didn't say why he wouldn't be in just that he would not be in that day. I called the office, and explained the situation, (he had waited for such a long time) but was told that there would be no available appointments until February approximately 2 additional months. I asked why we got the notice in the mail and no phone call. I was told a phone call was made, and a message left. Not so, not so! Later in the same day, I received a call saying that Dr. Spano would take him as a patient as a favor but it would still be a waiting time of 2 months. I found another doctor, and we are so happy that we did! The care at the new place is a much better fit with fewer doctors - there is one office staff gentleman who is great, the woman not so friendly. I guess office staff can be sh**ty just about anywhere in doctor practices. So, I am giving this practice one star for lack of respect for patients (negative marks) and in thanks for pushing us out of our comfort zone to find the best doctor for us (one positive star.) I am not mentioning the new doctor because he is no longer taking any more patients. read more
