One conversation was particularly interesting, I kept telling her I don't feel well I'm in such pain, her reply "if you don't feel well go to the emergency room". Thankfully I did just that, I was admitted to the emergency room at Yale, at which time I was hospitalized for 6 weeks, with a massive 13 hour surgery to remove said cyst which had exploded over all my organs. I was promptly told that the next available appointment was…read moreMay, and when I pushed back I was told by the person taking my intake information that I would only be eligible for a virtual appointment because I recently recovered from Covid. I should also mention that I am a Registered Nurse, who works in a major Connecticut hospital, and I have been cleared by occupation health (a physician) to return to work as it is safe. I was given a next day virtual appointment. I explained that I would need an in-person appointment to conduct an actual physical (blood work, vitals, etc). I was then met with the most unprofessional experience I have ever experienced with a doctor (and I deal with many different doctors in my career daily). The manner and tone in which I was spoken to by this doctor was unprincipled and rude. I was refused care because of her own beliefs about Covid, and I was indirectly told that the office no longer wanted my business. This doctor went off about how she only received the first vaccine and that she has a wedding to attend. I will obviously no longer be a patient of this doctor, but wanted to share this information to help other people who are seeking out medical care in the future. She lacks compassion, empathy and clearly medical knowledge.
