Sent my car to Fairfield for a cosmetic respray due to a previous poor paint job. Got the car back the first time and it was significantly worse than when I started. Sent the car back and it was returned better, but still totally unacceptable. Told that this is the "best they can do". During the rework, molding was not removed and was poorly masked as well. For the several thousand dollars spent, would not recommend at all. I am incredibly disappointed and wish I never took my car to them in the first place. Avoid if you are detail oriented and want great results. If you don't really care that much, this is the place. Update: Below, my info was requested to discuss the poor job that was done on my car. This place was an absolute nightmare. Don't be fooled by GEICO or any other auto insurance company's "preferred" list. We brought our car here for body work (compound, buff and paint) and scratches to the rim. 7 days (and many, many lies) later (red flag #1) the estimate was finally submitted to our insurance for thousands of dollars more than what it should have cost. The car was in "disassembly" for light body damage. (flag #2) Meanwhile, we were being overcharged for a terrible rental (they have some kind of racket going with enterprise, the receptionist texts on her phone while talking to you and poof, a Dodge minivan or Spark arrives in exchange for your Mercedes). We were assured our insurance would cover that cost, which was absolutely NOT the case. Additionally, our car would be at least another 2 weeks (or more) before it was finished and we should "Just hold onto the rental". (Flag #3) No parts were needed, so the supposed supply chain issues just don't apply here. I'd had enough with the "questionable practices" and after hours on the phone with GEICO ("please hold for a customer service agent. We will be with you shortly") I was able to confirm that we would be responsible for the $85/day rental for the unknown duration of the repair. They never called to speak to the insurance, they just lied to our faces. Needless to say, we didn't authorize the work to happen and we had to PAY for the rental to simply get our car out of there. The car is covered in crayon from the estimator and we need to start all over with the repair. Meanwhile, the GEICO adjuster just called to say "you can go to ANY body shop". Do yourself a favor and skip the hassle, headache and rental car overages while you grow gray waiting for your car at Fairfield Collision. I can't imagine what would of happened had we actually proceeded blindly into the black hole of nonsense with this establishment. Ugh... read more

Fairfield Collision had our car for 3+ months following an accident with a deer. During this time the communication was shoddy and the car was never done when expected. When it was finally ready to pick up, we figured that we could overlook the management problems if they did a good job, but on the way back home from the garage, my husband noticed that there was a significant leak (of windshield wiper fluid he thinks) that was leaking out of the front light area!! So we turned around and dropped it off. No apologies from the team there and no news yet even though it's been 48 hours. Very very poor performance on all fronts! read more

They destroyed the front end of my car, tried repairing their initial failure, and after barely driving the car since that time, took it out today and literally ran over the headlight casing they failed to secure... again! I can't believe this is who Greenwich Mercedes sends their cars to. Definitely wouldn't recommend this shop. My car went in for some collision repair and it took them over two weeks to repair it. I'm not sure why it took so long considering the mediocre paint job. The amount of over spray on my roof was ridiculous and cost me a $250 detail job to remove it all. On top of that, my air bag light came on after the fact and they never put the decal back on the interior of my door containing the VIN number, recommended tire pressure, etc. For being a "Geico Guaranteed" shop, it's a complete waste. DO NOT LET GEICO CONVINCE YOU TO GO HERE! There are far better options. read more

Look for a better auto body shop. My car was in a little fender bender, the bumper had to be replaced. The accident happened late November. Called to make an appointment for assessment and repair. Fair enough, they said bring it in early December. Well three weeks have past and not once has the shop ever called to give us updates on the progress to fixing the car. Each time we the customer has to call. Well now it's almost xmas and we had to call again only to get a run around about oh my parts guy forgot etc... This is not a small place either, it is a professional looking shop, a big place. Don't let the apperance fool you. Terrible communication and terrible service. Use a different shop. read more

The repair of my automobile was adequate, however the vehicle was returned with the battery in a drained state. One of the reps did help charge it so I could leave. The car was also returned with an air bag error message, which FCC did not clear because Geico would not pay for the diagnosis at Porsche. If I could give a zero I would. We waited two months so they could have all the parts they needed and then we dropped off our truck and 58 days later and several phone calls and trips down to the shop we have our truck back finally. They never ordered the parts, they lied every time we talked to them about what the hold up was, the service manager Sal never came out when we went down and made the poor woman in the front deal with it. Crazy part is I wasn't the only one during my last visit to check the status there were two other individuals with the same issues. Besides the inconvenience, the works is shorty and they replaced my running boards with completely different and absolutely hideous looking ones and they literally washed only half of the truck. You had my truck for 2 months giving me the run around, the least you could do was wash the entire exterior. Total garbage, stay aware, be warned. read more

I give them one star and that's just for the body work as far as all other service I would give 0 stars. They had my vehicle for 9 weeks and a day, during that time there was no communication unless I called in and after the run around the amount of excuses I was given was unbelievable. The amount of time cost me additional money for rentals and I was only given a $100 discount on the deductible because I requested to speak to the manager which I never did because he never came out to speak to me. Every time I called and asked for the manager they never put him on the phone. My car was returned to me with a Check Engine light on which was not on prior to bringing it there, they stated it was all set and the light came on after they test drove it so it was probably something minor, well fast forward 2 weeks and my vehicle began to smoke. I take my vehicle to the Audi dealer to be checked and serviced only to find out the information listed in the picture below. I do not TRUST Fairfield Collision to correct their mistake but I do plan to fight for my money paid to Audi because of Fairfield Collisions negligence in repairing my vehicle correctly. read more

I was referred to Fairfield Collision Center from a buddy of mine who had work done there years ago. I trust him because he is a car fanatic and very meticulous. WARNING: DON'T GET FOOLED BUY THE PROFESSIONALISM OF THEIR WEBSITE AND LOOKS OF THEIR BUSINESS WHEN YOU WALK IN. So I decided to bring my vehicle there to have repaired. There website says they follow up with the customer with every step of the process. I got none of that. I bring the vehicle in to go over the issues and I asked to if the rock nicks can get repaired on my hood since it need to get paint and they said SURE. The FIRST time getting the vehicle back, I noticed it had the wrong front grill, paint drips around the edges of my hood, TWO paint runs on top of the hood and they painted over the rock nicks without repairing them. Bring in the SECOND time and they buffed out the drips on the edges of the hood and the run on the front of my hood but the run on top of the hood was still there. (Ok fine) I was told the rock nicks will get burned/buffed out as best as they can. (I was fine with that). Front grill was replaced. (Cool). So I take the vehicle home, was it that weekend to find a new paint run on the hood. Front passenger headlight panel not assembled correctly. There are 2 bumper stickers that are on the bumper from the factory and only 1 was put on. The other sticker I found laying in my skid plate when I changed my oil. There were swirl marks and blotches in the paint. Bring it in a THIRD time to get the run buffed out but didn't come out 100%. Still visible. Bring it in a FORTH time to get the hood repainted and all the issues fixed. Get the truck home and was it over the weekend to find another imperfection in the paint job. Bring it in a FIFTH time to get that buffed out but next day when I parked it in the sun the blemish was still visible. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere to have your vehicle repaired by this place. read more

Car was damaged in a minor accident--not only did this shop repair my car (looks literally like new) but they also buffed the exterior, removing a bunch of lift scratches and other superficial damage that had built up over the past few years. Really quick too--beat the estimated repair time by a day and a half. Wasn't cheap (about 1.3 times the price of another shop where I had an estimate done) but given I was only out the deductible the price was a non-issue for me. read more

Seamless painless experience! Gene took care of everything. My Honda CR-V got severely damaged during the ice storm we had a couple of weeks ago. I called on Thursday and got an appointment on Monday. Parts were ordered, rental was reserved and I showed up to find everything taken care of. Swiped my card and I was on my way in my rental. I figured the 2ft snow storm the next day would slow down the repair time since everything was closed; but no my 7 day repair was done in 5 days and I got the call Friday that I could pick up my gorgeous shiny good as new car! I did the inspection after weeks of service coz the warning sensor goes on & off everytime she starts the vehicle. My car was pretty damaged after i got hit in an accident. I got recommended this place by a colleague and it was the biggest disappointment ever. We took our car there for a first inspection. Cost: $8400. Wow! it was pretty damaged but not that much. " oh, you see Mrs. XXX, your car needs a lot of work. We will charge you the discount labor rate, but we need to replace this and that... " One week later, i returned there with a claim number from my insurance and we had the insurance adjuster of this same location take a look a the car. "Mrs XXX, we only need to repair this and that, $4000 will be enough." WHAAATT??? They work next to each other so i decided to pull them together and compare the quotes. They were both right and the insurance adjuster wouldn't change his number. Even after we took the car to 2 body shops and both of them said they needed at least $5500 to fix it up. Fairfield Collision Center - either they try to rip you off big time or shortchange you. And they do it right there, as if it is a normal thing to do. After discussions I left, dissatisfied and feeling hurt by incredible dishonest people. Don't go there. They don't care about you. Discount labor rate? Forget it. it was $20/hours more than the insurance rate! The supervisor was "very sorry" about what happened. of course he was... STAY AWAY! read more

Bringing my car here was an absolute mistake. I brought my car in after being hit on the passenger side door, after having my car for over 3 months (having to call multiple time in order to try to get an update) they returned it in worse condition then when I brought it in. As soon as I drove it off the lot my car immediately died and had to be picked up, they tried telling me it was my battery - which when I brought it in was less then a year old. They brought it back to the shop and continued to hold on to it for another month - they then brought my car to the Subaru dealer ship, which I asked for them to contact me directly. When the dealership contacted me they let me know they had no idea why my car was there in the first place. All and all completely incompetent shop, do not bring your car here unless you're willing to be without one for half a year or more! I recommend bringing it to any other shop there is! After reading other reviews it looks like I'm not the first person to have similar issues with them, just wish I did more research before bringing here! read more

Don't write a lot of reviews, but my experience has been so negative that I decided to. Had a car brought here after a fender bender in Manhattan. This place was approved by both insurance company and car dealer, so it seemed like the perfect choice. Unfortunately, they're too busy to actually get the repairs done. If there's one word that summarizes my experience with FCC it's "hopefully". Hopefully, we'll have that done today, hopefully that part will come in tomorrow, hopefully the technicians will diagnose the problem this week. Well thought I would give these guys another shot after a disappointing first go around with repairs to my Audi. First time had to take it back several times because first they didn't even finish the work, second time because of the actual work, third time because the bubbles in the paint from there work. But all and all came out looking good, but horrible communication from the Asst. Manager Rick. So this go around I thought it would be much better, ofcourse I was wrong. Went in for an estimate ofcourse got Rick again who said he would get right on my estimate and email it to me. Well 2 phone calls and 4 days later no estimate or even a return phone call. Shame on me I should of learned from my first experience that if a person doesn't return calls or take pride in what they are doing they never will. So don't waist the hassle of driving on 95 to go see them because you will just be more upset by your service. read more

Quality of work on the car was quite good. However, the rating is due to the unacceptable customer service. Lack of communication, missed commitments, incorrect billing are the highlights. However, the clincher on what makes this place one to avoid is the personnel. Specifically Heather, who is unprofessional and should not be in a customer facing environment. Additionally Tony, who decided being less than honest was the way to proceed with me. Given this place is recommended by Fairfield Porsche (hence me going to have repairs on my 911 Turbo), my next communication will be to them as it is a shame such a renowned brand is threatened by such amateurs. read more

This guys are snakes and scammers. I had my jeep brought in as a friend bumped into it with minor damages. The repair was minor and paid for with cash and my friend paid for the rental car. When I went to pick up my jeep it had scratches all over it. I told the guy they were not there before and he said that they would fix it but it would take a day, so I asked who would pay for the rental and he said "your friend can", I was insulted that they suggest that he pay for their error. After I told him how insulted I was, he then fixed it right away. I went to look at my carfax and they reported the damaged fender even though I paid in cash. If you you want to be nickled and dime'd by dishonest people this is the place to go. read more
