Quite disappointing experience. The benefits of the hotel were that I arrived in the evening following a long international flight and needed a nearby hotel to stay the night. They have a shuttle to/from the airport which takes about ten minutes and worked out quite well. The hotel is clean and the room was fine. I had trouble with the hot water in the shower and bathroom. I called the desk and they suggested (at 10:30 PM) that too many people might be showering at the moment and to wait. I let the water run for ten minutes and gave up. I tried again around 4AM but still couldn't get warm or hot water. I also had trouble getting the room warm. It was quite chilly when I came in and it took several hours to get the room adequately warm. My wife will be following me through this same travel schedule in a week and are recommending she choose another hotel. This place suited the purpose generally speaking but if I were to be staying more than a 8hr layover as it was I would have been pretty upset about the quality of the room. read more

7/25/23-7/26/23 Unfortunately my outgoing flight from Boston was delayed due to weather so I ended up missing my connecting flight out of Chicago. I ended up choosing to stay at this hotel as it was fairly close to the airport with lots of eateries around from stop and goes to restaurants. I ended up doing another Uber Eats night and food delivery was quick with so many choices around. The hotel is fairly new at a year and has maintained quite well. Staff was friendly, rooms are clean with a modern and simple design. Comes with a comp breakfast starting at 6:30am. All in all, a good crash night. If stranded like me, pick this one. Rates were reasonable for the area. read more

I booked a night stay with Fairfield Inn & Suites Chicago O'Hare, not only because I did not want to drive late in the evening after attending WWE Survivor Series at Allstate Arena, but because the price for a night stay with avid hotel Chicago O'Hare - Des Plaines was ridiculous! I was drawn to Fairfield Inn & Suites Chicago O'Hare because its price was cheaper, its Expedia rating, and location being close to Allstate Arena. When looking for hotel stay, I always look outside of yelp because some reviews will discourage you from considering hotel stay anywhere. I have to remind myself that their experiences always differ from my experiences, so why even be discouraged? My planning always involves looking at ratings and reviews from other sites like Expedia which has it rated a 9.0/10 Wonderful out of 290 verified reviews which was the only validation I needed. My experiences with the receptionist behind the desk were nothing less than professional. Since my room was already paid for, the only thing check-in consisted of was a verification of my information, a short briefing of what the hotel offers, and giving me my room key and an overnight parking permit. For your information check-in starts at 3:00PM, and check-out ends at 12:00PM. I absolutely adored the room! After entering, I said to myself, "This is nice!" because I loved the layout and design of the furniture in the room which had a different appearance in comparison to other hotels I have stayed at. Another thing I loved were the liquid products by Alice + Co Botanicals (lavender & eucalyptus) inside of the bathroom attached to the shower wall which smelled lovely! Seems like hotels are doing away with mini hygiene products like shampoo, bath soap, and conditioner that make really great travel hygiene additions. I imagine that going with the liquid products attached to the shower wall likely saves money too. Along with adoring the room, it also met my cleanliness standards. I had no issues whatsoever getting comfortable in the king-sized bed during my overnight stay with my head engulfed in-between the comfortable pillows. The shower was okay! I was not too fond of the water pressure of it, but I did feel clean after utilizing it. And the Wi-Fi internet was easy to connect to with no connectivity issues during my stay. Fairfield Inn & Suites, as expected, appeared to be in very good condition! While headed to my room, I spotted the gym not too far from the check-in desk as it appeared to be a complete ghost town as like most are. If I would have been feeling well the morning of check-out, I would have gotten in a workout prior to checking out, but I just could muster up the strength to do so. Now along with a gym, the hotel does have a swimming pool which I did catch a glimpse of after returning from Allstate Arena. However, swimming in the pool was the last thing on my mind, so I did not utilize it. It was a relief to have the complimentary breakfast option in the morning because I did not have to worry about it prior to checking out. If you wish not to eat breakfast at the hotel, Rosemont Market Place is within walking distance and has an IHOP, and a Steak 'n Shake within the shopping center. I would surely book with Fairfield Inn & Suites Chicago O'Hare again because not only did the hotel meet my comfort needs, but its location is also within an accessible distance from Allstate Arena which is likely why I would stay again. ~ Be obsessively grateful. ~ Thomas G read more

This hotel is located close to O'Hare and also my son's house. We arrived at 1:30 am. Our flight was delayed two hours. We did call and told them we are going to be late. The hotel was at 97% capacity. The only room available to us was a handicapped room. Not a fan of these rooms but I will take what I can get. After opening the luggage to get out our sleep clothes and laying down very exhausted the trouble started. While this is a brand-new hotel the walls are paper thin. The people in room 215 seemed to like to party hard at 2 am. Loud, smoking dope, you know the usual jackassery. The first night we were able to turn on the fan to the AC unit to make some white noise and fall asleep. The next night was full mode party not being able to take it I called the front desk. Who told me they would call the room and tell them to chill. 3 phone calls later they finally took it seriously. I told the front desk on my last call I would call the police if they didn't do something. Some of the highlights was a ukelele, pot smoke, singing and of course laughing. Gosh they were having fun with no consideration. On one of my phone calls, I did suggest they take the party to the lobby downstairs. I went to the front desk the next morning and complained but in my mind to no avail. The third night before I went up to the room and told them there will be no repeat of the previous two nights. The Front Desks response was to move us out of our room and away. We had to pack our room and leave. Finally quiet. I still have some questions. Since weed was being smoked in the room did they get charged the $250 cleaning fee? Why in the simplest terms were they not ejected? Why did we have to complain so much? What are their house policies for this type of guest? read more

Hotel I had a super early zero-dark-thirty flight out of O'Hare and was looking for an airport in the vicinity and the Fairfield fit the bill. It looks to be on the newer side of things when you pull up. A very tight and tuny entrance roundabout for your car makes checking in a little interesting as the car behind me blocked the exit of the round-about and we have to do some jockeying to get me out, and him in. Front lobby was clean and the check-in was quick and easy with the helpful front desk attendant. Parking is in the rear area and there seemed to be plenty of spot available. The hotel was very clean as were the rooms. It is a Marriott property so the beds and everything were up to their standards. There are a couple of chain restaurants within yards of the place so I was able to mosey over and grab something light after my drive. Overall it did exactly what I needed it for and I was able to easily make my early flight. I'd use again if in the area. read more

Seriously? A "Suite"? A "suite" does not have TWO tvs in one room with an open wall. Place is a joke. No hot water in the first room they put us in. When I. Called the front desk says "oh still no hot water"? So they knew about it. Also, the most uncomfortable pillows in the world! Bring your own if you're staying here. This hotel is conveniently located near O'hare airport, has a 24 hour front desk so I was able to check in late, and the staff was friendly. The room is both clean and comfortable, there is cable, there are snacks in the lobby for a charge, and free breakfast from 7-10 a.m. Further, on-site parking is free but they do give a parking pass to place on the windshield. The best thing about the room is the spacious shower. I would stay here again. read more

I chose this hotel bc it was close to Allstate Arena. I arrived late in the morning, took a complimentary hotel shuttle service from O'Hare and checked in early after waiting for almost 2 hours. Typically, I would just leave my luggage and check-in later but they're like just wait. There was no early check-in fee which was a plus. The breakfast service was wrapping up and I ended up chilling with a bunch of fellow concert goers. The staff was extraordinary nice. They even did a morning huddle by dancing to La Macarena. The breakfast lady was super sweet. She made sure we had plenty of coffee, and I think they keep it available all day bc I had some before I left the following evening. During my stay, the hotel staff that I encountered in the elevators were very nice. I've staying in a lot of hotels but rarely encounter such friendly service. The room itself was pretty basic. I did like that there was a mini fridge, plus a microwave! The complimentary breakfast was good. They even served croffles. The only thing that I didn't like was that the shuttle service was slow. The hotel next door had multiple shuttles or something bc they passed by frequently at the airport and hotel. Amenities included a small indoor gym and workout gym, but I didn't use either. So. First room. We went to dinner and came back having not used the restroom. Water dripping out of ceiling vent and floor wet. First move to new room. Today went to shower and the shower knob didn't work. Didn't work. Second new room. So far so good except the tv has no connection. Pretty pix if French Impressionists work. No channels. Beds are good and AC works. Food was fine. That's all. We are outta here in the am. read more

I've stayed here a few times over the last two years. It delivers on what it is - a newer, cost-effective hotel near the airport. The rooms are spacious and clean. The staff have always been friendly and efficient. The breakfast in the morning is pretty good and they have free transportation to O'Hare. read more

Stayed at the Fairfield Milwaukee Airport the night before. This hotel is nicer at half the price. Nice rooms, nice staff, convenient shuttle. Place feels new. Would rate higher, but the Fairfield Inn breakfast is pretty substandard. Scrambled eggs and steamed sausage. Slap in on toast and eat it with an apple on way to airport to save some $$, but not something I'm looking forward to. That and the little market is a complete fucking ripoff. The hotel bar is only open from 5-10, and after it's closed the front desk will gleefully gouge the shit out of you for $8 beers and $10 seltzers. Next time (if there is one) we will have the Uber driver stop so we can get a bottle. Nothing like having a few drinks after dinner and waking up to a $250 bar tab at checkout. My husband and I recently stayed a week at the Fairfield in Desplaines Illinois. we love the staff and Jennifer the assistant GM is wonderful. The hotel is always clean and smells fresh plus you get breakfast. This will be our go to hotel when visiting Illinois. My advice is book here you won't be disappointed. read more

This hotel was recently built so it was very nice and clean. It was nice to stay in the new building where everything including the furniture, bedding as were new! The staffs were very courteous and friendly. The free hotel shuttle to the air port is a big plus! Highly recommended. read more

The deadbolt to my room did not work??? I would think they would make sure things like this work for your security.

My mom had a terrible freak accident while traveling thru Chicago & had to get emergency hip replacement surgery about 10 mins from this hotel. She was then stuck in the city with no local family members or place to go after being discharged from the hospital as she was still unable to fly home due to high risk for blood clots + the inability to walk. I was fortunately, as her daughter, able to come out & stay with her in order to help her get around & keep her company during this hard time. The entire staff at Marriott (Jennifer, Abrium, all the front desk employees, housekeeping, etc) were unbelievably sweet, kind, compassionate, empathetic, accommodating, friendly and truly went ABOVE & BEYOND during our stay to make us feel welcome, safe & keep things sanitary during my mom's recovery (as this could literally save her life right now since she is at high risk for infection as well). I am truly touched by their treatment towards us & cannot thank them enough. I will continue to stay at Marriott & recommend this location to anyone who is traveling thru O'Hare area.
