I am responding publicly only because my private attempts to resolve this were ignored. I am escalating this matter further. I chose this company because they have been around for years and appeared reliable. Unfortunately, the move was left incomplete, despite an in person quote and a full pack and move agreement. One crew left early without finishing and told me everything was packed when it was not. A second crew arrived the next day, but management refused to complete the job unless I paid more than the quoted amount. I offered multiple reasonable solutions, including providing my credit card information to be charged later, and was refused. I also requested to speak with the owner and was never contacted. The move caused damage including scratched wood floors and broken furniture. I am now left needing to hire another mover to finish the job. Based on this experience, I would not recommend them.

Due to several different things all falling together at the same time my wife and I needed to move…read morewith very little notice (like a week). Normally this is something my wife and I would just handle, and maybe recruit some friends...but she was 8 month pregnant at the time and I wouldn't let her pick up anything heavy. So we turned to a moving company. After reading through review for several companies, and excluding ones that weren't available on the upcoming weekend we landed on Jaguar movers, and I'm super happy with our choice. The initial communication with them was very professionally, they gave us all the details we needed, and followed up with any questions we had. On the day of the move both Cory and Waymon showed up a few minutes early, did a walk through of the house, and then got right to work. My wife and I had packed up most of the stuff already but they wrapped up anything that might get damaged in any way. At the new house they were patient while we pointed out where everything went, and were super careful putting things down on the hardwood floors. To top the entire experience off; a very small support piece from an Ikea piece got misplaced in the move and none of use could find it. We looked through the truck and I really feel like Cory and Waymon did a great job looking for it. Even though we couldn't find it, it must have been in the truck somewhere because the next day they drove back to our new house to return it! Overall I was highly impressed with both Cory and Waymon, and Jaguar Movers as a whole, and would recommend them to anyone else looking to move.

I made my hopefully final move into a house and scheduled them for 9am. I called around 9:20 to find out where they were, no one had contacted me. Said there was a personal emergency and it would be 10:30. 11 rolls around, still nothing. I call again because they are not keeping me updated, they finally arrive around 11:30. It took over six and a half hours, constant complaints of how a third guy wasn't sent, they didn't wrap anything other than my tv, and actually broke off some of the brick on my steps at my new place for how rough they were being with my belongings. And after all that.... A 5% discount. Please do not use Jaguar moving. You and your furniture deserve much better.

They are able to take furniture apart and put it back together while other movers say, "No way!". They did a great job packing up my 2 PODS containers before I moved from FL to NC. They did such a great job that I probably didn't even need the second container. They disassembled my bed and glass desk and wrapped everything up so well. Nothing was broken or damaged after the long interstate move. I'm sad I can't use them anymore because I am NC. Such a great group of guys!

Although the guys were super nice and friendly they weren't too knowledgeable when it came to putting my things back together. Adjustable bed they moved is now lifting up on side so it's no longer stable, dining room table wasn't fully secured with the screws but they did an amazing job moving my furniture from the old house upstairs to down without messing up the walls too much. I ended up paying $930 for a 5 hour move spanning about 7 miles apart from one another. Needless to say I'm disappointed. We had 3 bedrooms and a full living room set, a dining room table and a grill. Beware of current pricing as the prices increased significantly per hour from my original quote from the owner. I wouldn't write them off but I would definitely be more aware of what I'm getting myself into the next time around. I paid almost the same amount for an out of state move. Update: I gave an additional star due to the owner reaching out to attempt to alleviate the problem with my bed rolling. Thanks Jake.

I am writing this as a public service announcement: Do not hire New Chapters Moving Company. What…read morestarted as a $579 quote turned into a $1,200+ disaster that left my belongings broken, my apartment half-empty, and my storage unit a dangerous mess. 1. Property Damage & Negligence The most devastating part of this move was the complete disregard for my electronics. I provided professional TV boxes with foam corners; instead, they shoved my TVs into two-piece boxes with the screens exposed. Now, both TVs are ruined. One screen is visibly shattered, and neither unit will even power on. They took "professional" equipment and treated it like trash. 2. Price Gouging & Bait-and-Switch This company practices predatory pricing. I was quoted $579. Once they had my items on their truck overnight, the owner demanded $1,260. I felt completely extorted. He offered a measly 10% "discount" when I complained, but the final price was still double the estimate for a job that wasn't even finished. 3. Chronic Unprofessionalism The movers arrived 1.5 hours late and spent the first 30 minutes on the phone with their boss. Despite having a reserved freight elevator and a storage unit only 4 miles away, they moved at a snail's pace. They went "radio silent" for over an hour while I waited for them at the storage facility, later claiming their phones "died." 4. Incomplete Work & Reckless Packing * Abandoned Items: They left numerous boxed-up items sitting right by my apartment door, forcing me to deal with the move myself after paying them over $1,100. * Storage Disaster: They packed my unit so poorly that I can only open the door six inches before items begin falling out. Sentimental items were crushed and broken because they lacked basic stacking skills. 5. Zero Accountability When I sent the owner photos of the damage, he spent 30 minutes on the phone defending his "professionalism" rather than offering a refund for the damaged TVs or the unfinished work. He is a smooth talker who takes no responsibility for his crew's incompetence. I had to hire another company to fix the mess he made. Save your money and your sanity. This company is dishonest, overpriced, and will break your expensive belongings.

I despise the entire process of moving. From packing to storage, it is the worst experience I can imagine. That being said, I can only sing the praises of New Chapters Moving Company and EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEIR TEAM!!! From my first encounter with Bridget and constant organized follow-up from Emily, I knew that I'd made the right choice. After so many nightmare companies and irresponsible, rude and uncooperative movers, I was prepared to revisit the moving nightmares of my past. What an incredible surprise when I was graced with THE BEST movers that I'd ever encountered. David, Brandon, Everett and Greg were absolutely the friendliest, most helpful, patient, kind hearted, easy going, FAST AS "F", organized, efficient, movers that I have EVER had the pleasure of using!!! I had everything put in to storage and the packing job they did was EXEMPLARY! The owner George, was extremely generous and offered a discount on the final costs (thank the heavens) and to assure all was going to plan, was in constant communication with me throughout the entire move. He even came out at the end to introduce himself and make sure that I was OK with everything. I haven't a single complaint with New Chapters and if you are contemplating moving and looking for a company that you can trust and afford, I STRONGLY recommend using them!!! They are not part of a chain or franchise, but locally owned and operated!!! Thank you New Movers for making the chaos of moving bearable! 5 Stars!!!

First of all, while other companies replied back through Yelp, Scott was the first one to be like, "We need to talk IRL." So he called and we discussed my needs and what services he had to offer. He sent over his insurance information and a questionnaire to be completed so that he could write out the contract. I received an electronic copy of the contract prior to the arrival of the movers and a paper copy was made available for me to sign upon their arrival. Did I mention that this was all within a few hours of closing? Did I mention that this was for a next day move? This man is an organized machine, I tell you. Following the move, he sent the electronic receipt for payment and I was able to submit an electronic payment (with a small convenience fee tacked on) after the movers left. The two guys showed up EARLIER than expected (I know, right? That NEVER happens!) and immediately got to work wrapping and moving furniture as I finished packing (yes, because I'm a lazy slacker). They moved the furniture, delivering everything as best they could. There were only a few minor cosmetic issues with a few items delivered. I would recommend this company to anyone looking for a reputable company that does business in an organized and professional manner.

She assured me that the team would be there in the AM and would have no problem getting me loaded before the afternoon. When the three men arrived, I breathed a sigh of relief and when Dan, Nate and Keith got started it was a sight to behold. They had one person in the apartment moving items to the freight elevator, another person loading/unloading the elevator and another person taking the items to the POD. The biggest feat was fitting everything inside the POD and I think Dan must have a background in engineering because he nailed it. He used bungee cords (I supplied) to keep all of the items secure. I also covered all of my furniture myself and supplied cardboard to put between my wooden furniture. When the POD arrived at my location, not one item was broken and everything was as loaded. Unfortunately, the company behind them is the real problem. From the start, I was told (in writing) that my move would take around two hours. I agreed to pay for the actual time spent, up to three hours. The job was done in two -- yet they still charged me for the full three. When I questioned it, the owner was condescending and dismissive, acting like I was being unreasonable for expecting honesty. They offered a $50 refund for the overcharge, which I never received -- and it's now been a full month. To make things worse, they broke a $100 mirror and offered me roughly three dollars in compensation. After multiple attempts to follow up, they stopped responding altogether. This company is dishonest, manipulative, and completely unprofessional. They lure customers in with low quotes, then overcharge, avoid accountability, and ghost you when there's a problem. The movers deserve better than to work for a company that treats customers this way. Avoid them at all costs -- there are plenty of moving companies out there that actually value integrity.
