He did not return my calls and after leaving several more messages, he contacted me with the most unhelpful, condescending and rude attitude of just about anyone I've ever spoken with. He admitted he did not call me back on purpose hoping that I would resolve the issue on my own and then he proceeded to tell me he did not have to help me at all and was argumentative when all he had to do was tell me what my next step would be. Instead he wanted to criticize the HVAC company that I use pointing the finger at them saying it was all their fault when they don't even carry the part. I would not recommend this company in any way shape or form, just because the owner does not seem to care about people. I've struggled for a bit with my upstairs HVAC unit. The unit was poorly installed, low quality,…read moreand way oversized. When I first moved in, it sounded like a freight train was taking off when the second stage kicked in, and papers/curtains would literally fly around the room. I've had two other techs come look at it so far. The first tech disconnected the second stage, which caused a ton of humidity issues last summer. The second tech said he could dump the extra air in the garage or outside. I gave up last year and ran a dehumidifier to make it through the end of summer. This summer, I decided I'd try one more time before looking at replacement units. Ben Fraser from Roscoe Brown came out and spent quite a bit of time digging in. He found one major issue - the TXV was not set properly, so the unit was not cooling properly. He reconfigured the valve and reconnected the 2nd stage. Finally, he adjusted the airflow to be much more reasonable for the ductwork. The result is much cooler air, much better dehumidification, and no more freight train! It's not perfect, but it will keep me from having to buy a new unit for several more years. The price was fairly high compared to some of the non-name-brand techs, but the results were great. I was happy with the price considering the results.

They said it would "Save me money," on future service or repairs. So, I joined. Months later, we had a filler hose on a washing machine leak. I called Cool Ray. They came out and recommended we replace the hoses with stainless steel hoses. I thought this was a good idea, so I asked how much that was going to cost and was told it was going to be $945. We have a large washer and a small washer, as well as a steam dryer, so there are actually 3 lines. I told the tech that I had a service so we should get a discount. He showed me with the discount it was $315 per line. I went ahead and had it fixed. The tech had the needed parts. He replaced the lines. Total time in the house was under 1 hour. After it was done, I checked the price on the 3 lines and was disturbed that I could have bought them for all for under $100. I can see charging $315 for a service call and installing 1 line, but when they charged the same for the additional 2 lines, I feel that I was ripped off. I sent a letter to the manager asking for a partial refund. I also called twice and asked to speak to the manager. Nobody ever responded so I cancelled my service contract. This was several months ago. I am still being charged the $9.95 per month and have to dispute it with my credit card company. Stay away from this company.
