The install went quickly, and the performance is superb also. If you are looking to make you home more comfortable without the high cost of an HVAC unit, minis-splits are the way to go. You heat or cool specific rooms, not the whole home which is great as the PG&E costs continue to rise. They deliver the heat/cool right where you want it rather than the whole home or office. Worse: Instead of honoring the existing system, they tried to upsell me on a new $18K system "available next day." I had to buy portable AC units just to survive. Clearlake hits 90s+ in summer. I've filed with the BBB, CSLB, and California AG. JR Putman took over Performance Mechanical but abandoned their obligations. If you're a past customer or expect long-term service, don't count on them to show up.

If we could, we would give Barnell service 0 star. Our air conditioner broke in the hottest month of Lake County (early August) and need repair. Ben came just look at our unit without any diagnosis and immediately recommend a brand new system replacement (roughly $9-10k) and charged us over $200. He is not interested in fixing unit. We went along and ask for a quote. We waited over a week, made multiple calls/messages and didn't get a call back. We called Henry Repair in Lakeport, they came and fix our unit within 2 days (very reason price and great services). We DO NOT RECOMMEND Barnell Heating and Air service. Don't waist your time and money on these guys.
