The obsessive precision (in the best way) put into the bean sourcing, in-house roasting, and brewing make for the highest quality cup of coffee at their homey shop. It's clearly the town hub! And the food is great too - I dream about their breakfast burritos with their homemade salsa. Owned by a lovely couple, who focus on cultivating a safe place for their community, crafting world class beans and coffee drinks, and supporting humane and ethical practices across the lifecycle of their products. Stopped in for an iced coffee after a long hot August day visitng Mesa Verde National Park. Wasn't expecting much in a small town like Mancos so this place really deserves mention The barista was very pleasant and answered my query about their Fahrenheit Freeze (aka espresso creamsicle). I ended up ordering an Iced Coffee. I got my choice of Dark Roast or Medium Roast coffee and to my surprise, they used frozen coffee cubes instead of regular ice cubes to cool down the drink so it didn't get diluted! They asked if I wanted room for cream- yes, please- and when I asked if they had oatmilk, they offered it at no extra charge. That beats Starbucks! Based on the great taste of my iced coffee and the care put into making it, I'm sorry I didnt buy a bag of their house roasted beans. Not far off Hwy 160, Fahrenheit Coffee Roasters and Espresso Bar is a hidden gem and well worth stopping for your next cuppa when you're in the area. There's even an outside patio you can sip your coffee in leisure if you have the time. Highly recommend! read more

We stopped here for some coffee after doing some hiking at Mesa Verde National Park. When visiting the area before we have always enjoyed the great coffee and service, along with a relaxing place to sit and enjoy our coffee. I must say we were a bit disappointed in this trip. The person at the register taking our order was not happy to be there, and it showed in her demeanor. Our iced coffees were not the best quality (they were weak and bland), way below our expectations for this place. When I was handed my order I said, "thank you" and got nothing in return (even after a nice tip). OK, so we'll try here again before we leave as maybe they were having a bad day, but I hope this isn't relective of how they do business now. read more

Ordered a chai and asked for it to be strong, more chai less milk, it tasted watered down, let the barista lady know and she was rude to us, gave us bad customer service, said that we just didn't like it. Did not offer to fix it or exchange it for something else. We also got 2 shots of expresso and asked for a splash of warm milk and they charged us almost $2 dollars for the milk. Got 2 scones, they tasted old. Not a great experience unfortunately. read more

And this is good stuff. After driving around the U.S. for the past 2 years (and 40k miles) I've tried many a coffee shop. Fahrenheit Coffee Roasters is one of the few that actually stands out. I spent a month in the area camping and frequented this place. The atmosphere is great, the talk among the locals is welcoming, the lattes are killer and the fresh roasted coffee beans are among the best. I stocked up on those beans before we left the area. Fahrenheit is the kind of place I wish every small town had. A converted gas station, the vibe is artsy and down-to-earth, with extra couches and seating outside. The staff is very nice and helpful and they have a nice variety of coffee and tea drinks, along with a good selection of sandwiches and quick breakfast foods. I'm a bit of a coffee snob I guess. Often when I'm on a road trip I'm very let down. This was a great stop! Drinks weren't done till we were almost done with our food tho. Wasn't a big deal to me just something I noticed when I picked my face up from gobbling down their delicious Biscuits n gravy (maybe Saturday only I never saw a menu. Burritos as well. My family and I visited this delightful coffee shop while vacationing in Colorado. I can honestly say that the coffee bean selection was delicious and the owners make a great cafe latte. They also had a nice selection of freshly made sandwiches and pastries to go that we packed up on our way to Mesa Verde. We are from Miami, so I made sure to purchase a bag of freshly ground coffee, so we can enjoy here at home. Cute little shop in a great location but as a coffee connoisseur, the beans taste like they are over roasted. The rich, complex flavors of coffee, which I love, can be overpowered if the beans are cooked too long and that's what I experienced. If you're used to Starbucks however, this place will blow your mind because it's certainly a treat in a small town but I wouldn't buy their beans again and I would like to try another coffee venue next time I visit. read more

In 1968 I used to go to Starbucks on Pike Street in Seattle. Then, a micro roaster like Fahrenheit, ( I began drinking coffee at Fahrenheit in Mancos in 2007) their coffee was outstanding. Coffee roasted in 5# batches is far superior to that roasted 500 pounds at a time. Matt the owner and roaster at Fahrenheit listens to the beans crack during the roasting process. He samples the roasting beans and smells the unique aroma of each blend. Skilled roasting is the hallmark of a micro roaster. I purchase their Espresso blend (Matt's secret) and grind mine at home and brew it in an Aero Press that I purchased from Matt. My home brewed coffee is not quite up to the quality Matt and Linda and Vera produce with their machine. A great cup of espresso has oil on top that can only be created with a quality machine. I certainly enjoy the free cuppa that I get each time I purchase a pound of beans but I will never complain about their prices, a house coffe is only $1 and the refills free. I wish that I lived in Mancos. read more
