I gave Diane the dimensions and I was given the cost to do the job. It was before Thanksgiving. I mentioned I would contact after the holiday; I did. Job was set up for 11/29/23. I was contacted the day before for an approximate arrival time. The crew showed up at the expected time. I gave them access to the garage. The job was done quicker than expected. When my garage door stopped going up, I was determined to try to fix it myself. Got out the manual, followed the directions.... Nothing worked. After staring at it for quite awhile, I had a friend look at it, and she immediately noticed that a large spring was broken. ‍ thankfully, there was a sticker on the door from the previous owner having this door serviced at Fagan. They were able to come look by the end of the week (at both garage doors); confirm my friends finding, and ordered parts right away. When it came time to install the parts, they were fast, polite, and there were no surprise charges. One star off because a reschedule was done via a text notification, and that screwed up some plans. But I'll definitely use them again if/when I need more work done to the garage! read more

Unvbelievable. I hired another company to diagnose why my door wouldn't open. Nine appointments later I had a broken door and no opener at all. Half the new one they told to buy was scattered around the garage with a bunch of sharp nails, nuts, screws and packing all over the yard. The Fagan technician was done before lunch. Technician showed up and immediately removed the LED LIGHT BULBS from the door opening unit, everything worked fine after that. It only cost me $169 for 2 minutes of the techs time. Seems like this company has nothing but excuses. I just followed one of their drivers on a road that is clearly posted "No Commercial Vehicles" and the speed limit is 25 and 20 I a school zone (the driver was going 35 and then 25 in the school zone). I called to complain about this driver and gave the license plate number. I happened to be behind the driver until they turned left onto another road. The person who answered but me on hold and then try to tell me they had work in the area. Maybe so but they did not have any work on the road he took. When I stated this they had no answer or excuse. I have read the responses from the company on other sites and from those non professional responses and the line I got this morning, I don't think this is a company I would want to deal with. Hi Diane, there is 3 ways to get to Old Baptist and the No Commercial vehicles is to keep business from using Stony Lane as a short cut (as your driver did). And I never stated that your company shouldn't go through school zones but to do the speed limit. They should do the speed limit no matter what road they are on (which they didn't do on any part of Stony Lane). And your response is exactly what I was referring to as non professional and makes me want to do business with your company even less. Actually, it will never happen. read more

It's very irritating to have a broken garage door, call a long list of places and have no one return your call. Thankfully this wasn't the case with Fagan Door. We had a quote within a few hours, along with pictures of what the doors would look like and recommendations on the doors that would have the longest life for a reasonable cost. Did we pay a few dollars more than we would have with the small local guy? Sure, we may have, but none of the small local guys called back so we'll never know. We were scheduled for an appointment in a timely manner and the service guys arrived when they said they would and were quick and courteous. Once they were done they explained the doors to us, including operation and maintenance. For a small additional charge we now have Liftmaster MyQ, which allows you to close, open and check the status of your doors from a phone app. Not sure if you closed the door when you left? Just check your phone. Someone coming by to drop something off when you aren't home? If they let you know when they are at your house, you can open a garage door for them and close it when they leave. We were quite pleased with the service from Fagan Door and would definitely recommend them. read more

He verbally attacked my contractor, me, and me to my wife when I wasn't home. He had an issue with the framing for the garage door which was done to Fagan's specifications. Very disappointed with Fagan. We thought they did a great job of installing a new garage door for us 2 years ago but for a door that we don't open and close often, it should not be having issues already. We don't even park a car in our garage and only open it a few times a week, if that. They told us there may be issues with the sensor and were going to charge us a $159 service fee plus whatever materials they needed to fix the problem. While I understand the door only has a one year warranty, I think it is absurd to spend over $1500 for a door just to have it malfunction not even 2 years later. This is unfortunate because they came highly recommended by several friends and family members but I will now tell people not to use them. read more

I would never use this company. They are very rude. We had work done by them and when asked to fix the problem they did nothing. We urge all our neighbors and friends not to use them. Luckily we found a very good garage door company here in RI that helped us and fixed there mistakes. I contacted Fagan Door on the recommendation of a neighbor. My garage door wasn't opening and closing properly, and was very loud. I just purchased my home and was worried that I may need an expensive repair or (gulp!) a whole new system. I spoke with a very nice woman at Fagan who recommended that I just schedule a repair visit/appointment, and there would be a standard service fee of $159 for the technicians to come to my home. I thought that was pretty reasonable, and appreciated knowing the fee right upfront. She also gave me helpful information, like how to disable the motor so I can close the door manually when it wasn't working...very much appreciated that, as well! Turns out I had some spider webs and yard debris blocking the sensors, and the pulley system just need a good, long drink of lubricant. The technicians were pleasant, professional, and patiently answered my questions about how the system functions and how to maintain it. Great service and excellent customer service! read more

We were not happy with the installation on one of the two doors we had installed. One door was absolutely perfect. The other door had the mounted hinges crooked by 1/4". The hinge also had extra screw holes because it had been put in the wrong spot and they had to move it.We sent pictures and requested it be fixed or for them to warranty the hinge. Our concern is that being crooked that will create problems opening the door years down the road. We did not get a response. read more

I was charged $159 for a fix for my garage door that without exaggeration took 6 mins. I live 10 mins from the company . The price is the same if the tech were there an hour . No parts were replaced . Lubricant was sprayed on my door hinges . I think it's bad business. Just because you can get away with something, doesn't mean you should. We used Fagan door when we lived in Coventry and I accidentally backed into our garage door. They came out the same day to fix our broken door, were professional and reasonably priced. Since then, we have moved to North Attleboro and we wanted to replace the existing garage doors, we called Fagan and once again we were very happy with the job they did. When the doors were put up, they noticed that one of the decorative handles was defective and they showed us and came the next day to replace it. I have heard that you should have your garage door serviced every year or two, but I never get around to making an appointment. Last night, when I closed the door, there was a loud noise. A cable had snapped. My car was stuck in my garage until it got fixed. OK, the door still works, but you get my point. I stayed in for the night and called Fagan this morning around 8:30 They fixed it once before - 7 years ago. Besides, we use them at work. At first they said they could not get out until Friday but then said they could have someone at my place before noon. They actually arrived within 30 minutes. I saw the bad review posted here, and I had to add my 2 cents. We contacted Fagan, and because of some issues with our garage door opening, Fagan sent a salesman out to us at the house. He brought samples, made excellent suggestions, and was thoughtful and helpful. We had 2 doors installed, and several years later they look great and operate smoothly. Because we were on a budget, I was hesitant to call them at first because I thought they would be more expensive. Their prices were comparable to the big box stores and other garage door 'specialists', only with better doors and better service. I haven't had to contact them for repair service, so I cannot comment on that. However, the installers that came here were polite and meticulous with the installation.
