Got a Groupon for this place because I was in need of a massage. Wasn't really sure what to expect when I pulled up to be honest, it's definitely not one of these fancy spas or massage places. However, it provided me with a good massage which is what matters! James is great, a lot of folks talk about him, so I don't know if he's the only masseuse there, or if he's just the main one you hear about. But either way definitely try to get him if you can. He was polite, and his massage was wonderful, he had just the right amount of pressure and adjusted as needed when asked. I would have to say honestly this was probably one of the best massages I've had recently, because he really worked to get all my knots out focusing on the areas of tension. And the massage I got ended with hot stones, and even that was great, a lot of times they kind of just lay them on your back, but he used them as part of the massage on your back. Came back to FaFa a year later & this time had James as my masseuse. I still highly recommend this place based on their consistent service & how much is done for a more than reasonable price. Everything that was done last year in terms of areas worked (back, neck, legs, feet, arms, face) was done again & James made sure equal time was given to each section. My only complaint is that deep tissue massages HURT, so it's hard to truly relax. If you're sensitive to pain, maybe opt for a Swedish massage instead because the goal of the deep tissue is to help move toxins out your body while also relieving stress knots (which I was overdue for). read more

60-minute massage was horrible! I had visited this foot spa a week earlier and had a wonderful 30-minute reflexology massage w Michael. Retutned a week later for the same massage and decided to add an additional 30 mins back and shoulder. A young woman was assigned to me. The foot massage was the worst ever! I don't believe she knows reflexology and at one point, she bent my toes so far back on my right foot that I yelped ! The back massage was okay but nothing to return for. I left feeling worst than I arrived, The next day my toe was swollen and it took almost a week for the swelling to go down and it limited my mobility. I've been busy and didn't stop by to show them my swollen foot/toe. Yelp sent me a request to review FaFA. This spa is close to my home and I thought I would visit weekly but no plans for that after the recent visit. Came to Dallas with my sister for a visit. We were looking for an affordable and good massage. I called around the local area and stumbled on this little gem. Not too far from our hotel and the prices are reasonable. We both went with the 30 minute foot + 30 minute body combo massage for $50.00. I got the man and my sister on the woman. Too shy to ask for their names. I didn't have high expectations but the man did a wonderful job!! He was professional and able to get all my knots and muscles that I didn't even know existed. Spent 30 minutes on my foot and it was amazing. Lots of details on the arch, sole, and reflexibility of the foot. Towards the end they brought out complimentary hot stones, which was a nice touch. I got the reflexology foot massage and body massage combo. The foot massage wasn't what I expected. He spent more time on my lower legs and mainly rubbed the top of my feet. He spent very little time on my heels, arches and pads of my feet. The next day I had bruises around my ankle bones and the tops of my feet. The body massage was ok. I started going to James last year (2023). I have a pinched nerve in my neck from whiplash 35 years ago. My left side, from my neck, across my shoulder, to the heel of my foot, is always tight and sometimes I get headaches. I've been getting massages most of my life. Since James has been working on me, I feel de-stressed,, loosened up and pain free. He has a great technique. I get a deep tissue full- body massage once a month from him. I was highly disappointed by my visit there. I was originally elated when I called and they said they could get me in ASAP for a 60 minute reflexology massage. I remember exactly when I turned off my car because my car clock said 8:01, and I thought, "I hope they use a timer and not go off the top of the hour cause I want ALL my minutes!" lol Well, they usher me to my massage table and I hear them get the water. My massage started around 8:05. An elderly gentleman did my massage and I asked him 4 times to use more pressure, but he basically just rubbed my body like I would if I were applying lotion to myself. I hate being that person to repeatedly say that he needed to use more pressure, so I gave up after the 4th time. He said he was done and so when I got up, I looked at the clock. It was 8:56. WTH! I was so irritated by how bad the massage was, that I didn't even ask for my additional time. I went to pay, and it turns out they charge an additional $1 to pay with a credit card. That is not mentioned ANYWHERE. I understand having minimums on credit card use to make up for the charge credit card companies charge establishments, but that is just lame to charge me an additional dollar on a $30 fee. I decided to try this place on a whim and a handful of good reviews initially, but it's slowly become my go-to place for a good massage and foot rub. I typically get a 60-minute combo each time, even though I feel like the price has jumped slightly. No matter who has worked on me, I've left feeling good and relaxed. I've also only had ladies work on me, never seen any men. They have me lay down in the more open area for the reflexology portion, which includes head, shoulder and arm work. When working on your back, they actually will move you a little further down to a separate curtained area and have you remove your shirt and shorts. That wasn't the case before, but maybe I've gone there enough times and it's private. They'll use oils on your back, as well as hot stones which just feel great overall. Wear some loose fitting clothes to make things easier, as the first part is fully clothed. When they're done, they'll greet you up front with a full bottle of water and are always so nice. Will definitely continue to visit every few weeks when I need to relax for a little while. read more

The reason I didn't give this just 1 star was the place was clean, they got me in with a phone call and the lady was nice. That is it. I woke up and had some bruising. I asked that the guy that gave the massage be less rough and he laughed and would lighten up some, but then used his elbows. I am used to deep tissue but this was awful! I won't be back, and I don't know if I can go to one of these places again after this. I have had some luck with foot massage places, but would rather drive to other places than go to a place that won't listen and laughs at you when you flinch and jump and ask that you decrease the pressure just to get bruised the next day! Okay, I gotta admit, this place shocked me. I came in for the 60 Minute Combo ($50 for 30 min back/30 min foot massage), mainly because of the price point. $50 for an hour total of massage is a great deal! I figured it may not be the best experience due to it being a "cheaper" massage, but I now currently bite my, albeit relaxed, tongue! They massaged my face, scalp, back/shoulders/arms, legs, and feet! SO worth it. I'll make this short & sweet for ya and put my thoughts in a classic "Pros & Cons" list: Pros: -Relaxing music -Very sweet employees -Intense and deep massage -Clean beds & towels -Efficient and adaptable employees -Soothing dim lighting -Comfortable atmosphere Cons: -Massage areas are not individual rooms, but one large room separated by thick curtains -I could hear other guests, which normally would not be an issue, but there was a particularly loud guest who 1) Had a very bad smokers cough and 2) Deemed it acceptable to tell his masseuse about his new phone plan in excessive detail for 15 minutes. I could hear this because of the lack of walls, but all in all, I can't blame the company for a weird customer. -Was a little chilly in the massage area, but I also run cold. So who knows. It was relaxing at times as well. If you're a first time massage goer, definitely be sure to pee beforehand (sounds weird but seriously) and wear loose clothing. Do not wear skinny jeans or things you can't roll up for a foot massage. If you're getting a back/body massage, you usually are expected to wear something loose or be comfortable getting undressed, which they will give you ample privacy for. You are allowed to keep your underwear on, if you'd like. Personally, I wear stretchy spandex shorts, remove my shirt & bra, and let them do their thing. They really don't care as long as they can do their job properly! And no, as one of the reviews incorrectly states, this is a not a "happy ending" massage parlor. Grow up. :) read more

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the massage was sub par and the majority of the patrons there (including the 3-4 men who stopped by and called during my one-hour session alone) were all interested in a much DIFFERENT kind of massage. I'm all for legalizing prostitution, but I don't particularly care to have a massage in a place where a man is clearly getting massage on more than just his feet on the other side of the curtain. Also disappointing was the fact that there was no designated front desk attendant - the masseuse stopped my massage 5 times to answer the phone and receive customers at the desk. In a nut shell: I've tried several foot spas as I live in Carrollton and they are on every corner. This one is the best I have ever been to for many reasons you will see below. WE WILL BE BACK OVER AND OVER AGAIN! I sort of hate to write this review as it's such a hidden gem that it could become super busy and that would mean I may have to wait, but that is not fair to this business. So, here we go. I walked in and it's nothing special in the front it's just a small lobby and a lady at the counter. There was a gentleman standing next to her and I said I would do the hour foot session ($30 or $40 for VIP). The VIP includes flower petals and a packet dried milk and ingredients to make your skin more smooth that they add to the water. The gentleman showed me to the back. First impression was that the area was clean, and very nicely maintained. Many other places like this have unmatched linens and catawampus furniture. This one was pleasing to the eye as well as comfortable. Prep was quick and he started on my scalp, it was heaven. The "foot" massage includes your entire body. YES PLEASE!!!!! There was pleasure, there was pain, it was a perfect balance and when I left there I felt like a million bucks. DO NOT SKIP this place. You will be very pleased. The guy I had was very strong and his motions and massage practice was VERY good. The music they play was pretty and soothing and when we were done he gave me a bottled water. Wow! We walked in and got the 60 minute special for $30, not expecting much. This was most likely the best reflexology experience in Dallas! They did 10 mins head and arms, 40 minutes foot and leg, and then another 10 mins back and back of leg. When he asked me to turn over after the foot massage, I was confused because I had already gotten more than my money's worth. Then to finish it off, he did back work!! Total score. My husband and I couldn't stay awake, because they are so aware of pressure points and relaxation at FAFA. Try them, you will not be disappointed. Truly worth the money and then some. read more
