The night after my surgery I was so miserable and felt so nauseous, I called Dr. Studin's office and he called me right back, it was around 9pm! He sent over some alternative medications for nausea and pain which I was able to get the very next morning! Surgery was a success, zero infection, and I healed without complications! I had been diagnosed with Ca and had surgery on my neck leaving a very unsightly scar. I also had treatments that made my body and looks unrecognizable to me. He assured me and followed through on helping me to get back to feeling and looking more like myself. Through the years i stayed in-touch with him and saw him again after I had an emergency C-section where I delivered twins at 28 weeks. Suffice to say that scar tissue and a nasty scar were only a part of the hurt my heart carried. To me this was an EVERYDAY reminder of the loss. I sought out this trusted Dr yet again with the idea that maybe I needed a tummy tuck. True to his nature and never one to oversell procedures Dr Studin talked me out of a tummy tuck and helped minimize my scars appearance, later that year I was the 40 year old mother of 3 plus 2 angel babies wearing a 2 piece bikini. As an RN I not only advocate for my patients but for anyone who needs to have their skilled medical practitioner be someone of sound medical advice. I had a horrible experience at this dental office and I don't recommend it…read more I believe this was my dental office for a year. I had come here a couple of times for a cleaning and some x rays complaining of tooth pain. There was a specific doctor I had seen on this particular day for tooth pain. I don't remember her name and she didn't work much longer at this dental office after this incident happened. I went in for tooth pain on this particular day. When I got to the office, they did a visual check of the area where the tooth was that was in question. I couldn't pin point exactly which tooth but had an idea. It turns out, I was correct on which tooth was causing the pain. The technician took an x-ray and brought me back to the room to wait for the dentist to look at my x-ray. *I didn't see the x-ray that day! The dentist didn't ask or offer me to look and I didn't think to ask. The computer was behind my head. The dentist proceeded to tell me she didn't see anything on the x-ray and saw no visible signs of decay or anything unusual. She told me to come back in 2 WEEKS if the pain persisted or didn't get better. Welp, 2 DAYS later, I woke up with serious pain and swelling of the right side of my face! The side where the tooth was in question. I scanned around the left side of my mouth with my tongue to discover something that felt like a PLUMP BLUEBERRY! Oh, of course it's Saturday and I have school all day! I called the dentist and said I needed to be seen right away and explained the situation. They saw me in 30 min with a different dentist and she informed me I had a tooth abscess and they needed to drain it immediately. It was so tender, swollen and painful they could barley numb me to drain it! It took quite awhile and a lot of pain!! I asked why the previous dentist didn't catch the start of this 2 days earlier. She said it's not always possible to see the start of an abscess. We looked at the x-ray together and quickly discovered the tooth in question was not even in the x-ray that was taken!! The technician didn't get all the way to the back of my mouth and the tooth that has the abscess wasn't included in the x-ray! Why the first dentist didn't catch this is beyond me! I was livid! I said, well there's no way to know if it could've been caught because the tooth isn't even in the x-ray. They ended up waiving the emergency fee and charged me for the draining of the abscess and a couple other things. With that being said, I was charged some other fee or a higher fee than normal for this procedure because it was an emergency visit. Insert eye roll. Oh and insurance only covered part of it because it was an emergency visit. Insert another eye roll. Anyways, I kept coming to this dental office as long as the new dentist I saw would be my dentist. I had a root canal done, maybe 2. Don't judge me. She was great, but I could not stand the receptionists and BILLING! After almost every visit, i'd receive a bill in the mail saying I owed more money even though I paid what they said I owed at my appt. Please, get it togethe
