I went in a few years ago to see Dr Sharf and discuss removing a chin implant I had in my nose everything he did for me was not too satisfactory. I thought to myself maybe it was a tough job. I went back to him for a mini facelift and eyelid lift. He told me what to expect after surgery and during surgery I agree. My surgery was done in December of 2024 I waited in March which was a few weeks ago and I was very unhappy because I paid $15,000 and I look exactly the same as I did before surgery. I would never recommend this doctor ever again when I told him I look exactly the same he didn't think so I asked him to show me the difference between the before and after a picture. He suggested for me to do filling I said okay go ahead and do it he said no there is a charge for it I could not believe my ears after I'm as a patient telling you I'm unhappy with the $15,000 job you just did you want to charge me more . It was unbelievable that he wanted to charge me for filling filling is just temporary doesn't remove the lines from my face I said. And I left it at that so if there is anybody are there that was thinking to go to this doctor I would say do your research there's not very many reviews on him. Dr. Rigan told me to call back in 2 years to make a consultation with him because when i was there to see him he said it wasnt the right time to do the procedure i wanted. so when i called back today the receptionist told me he doesnt want me to come back as his patient. i dont get it. i only saw him for like 10 minutes when i saw him 2 years ago.. i find him very arrogant to do this unprofessional and had no answer to why he would not see me.. i would never recommend this dr for anything. things happen for a reason and maybe the reason was to tell me to find a better and more professional dr because i would have got botched.. ugh read more

It was a mixture of emotions, excitement, apprehension and very nervously calm. Had my appointments, everything was in place. The day had come to fruition. "OH, HAPPY DAY" enter the miracle worker and his lovely nurse, it was beautiful thing to witness, they didn't miss a beat. If I could give 0 stars I would. I am extremely disappointed with the office. I went in for a consultation and the nurse was so rude and disrespectful. She had the audacity to tell me that my children wouldn't were being too loud for the doctor to talk but the doctor never appeared in the room. They weren't even talking and sitting there quietly. I was there for over an hour and my appointment was supposed to be 20 mins on average. I wasn't even taken back to the room until 9:30am. The nurse came in at 10am and said she didn't know when the doctor would be in. I asked roughly how much longer since my appointment was at 9am and she said I don't know how long he will be he went into another patient consultation. I had the first appointment of the morning not sure how this could be possible to have to wait over a hour to see the doctor. This was the worst experience and I wouldn't recommend your office to anyone. Big waste of time. I wouldn't go here if someone paid me. read more

On 4/13/22 Dr David Rigan did bilateral eyelid surgery. Though I waited years to have this done, the time now seemed right. I requested a consultation with the doctor to answer a myriad of questions and was told I would require a "field of vision" evaluation, blood test, and written evaluation from my primary physician prior to the visit on 3/4/22. All the information was available at the time of consultation and all I needed were my personal questions answered. A presurgery visit occurred on 4/11/22 and surgery was performed on 4/13/22 at the Ambulatory Surgery Center of WNY. And here I would like to ask kudos to all the staff attending me on the day of surgery. They helped me to feel comfortable and calm, though I required three blankets to warm myself! I have never taken any type of surgery lightly which is likely why I waited quite a while to have this procedure done. But my eyesight was becoming more compromised and this was a needed solution. I can say unequivocally that I am pleased with the outcome even with one eye slightly bruised at this writing. I'm looking forward to a much improved field of vision. read more

I originally had a lump removed under my eye. Dr Sharf was thorough and performed the surgical procedure. Wonderful results. Following that surgery, I had duo blepharoplasty. Before the I looked tired. Again, beyond my expectations , what a difference in my appearance! I just want to say from the front office staff, billing staff, Lori NP, Dr Sharf, and everyone to the anesthesiologist at the clean and beautiful Ambulatory Center of WNY was terrific and attentive. Okay... third strike and now they are out. I hate to give bad reviews but this place is not good. back story: I am no stranger to botox. I love my face poison, I've been getting it since I turned 30 several years ago. I still get IDed for booze and the occasional rated R movie, so it's working. I have tried coming here three times and only seeing the doctor one of those times. 1st time, I waited almost a half an hour past my appointment time and then has to reschedule because I only booked the babysitter for so long. In Seattle, I NEVER waited at the plastic surgeon's office for my botox. I was always seen within 5 minutes of the assigned time. I'd go in, the appt took about 15 min, I'd get my beloved face poison and be on my way. So, I re-booked for a week later. 2nd visit, I got in to see Dr. Douche (his real name is protected, I don't want to single out a doctor for sucking). I was taken back at my appointment time but then sat in the room for a good 20 minutes before he came in. He asked me how many units I get, I told him. He then argued with me that I needed more than that. No, I don't. I started at 20 units when I was 30 and only in the 6 months before I moved to Buffalo did I get bumped up to 30 units. I've been doing preventative wrinkle botox, I don't a lot. He started saying I needed "50 or 60" units. Excuse me? I'm not in my 40's or 50's, no I don't. Then, he said if my doctor in WA was only using 30 units then they must have been diluting it funny and what dilution did they use*? I ended up getting 30 units and I told him my main complains was my crow's feet next to my eyes, THAT is where I like the botox with a little in my forehead. He did the OPPOSITE. I can't move my eyebrows and he put a lot in up in my forehead (where I have ZERO wrinkles and don't need it) and only put a little tiny bit in near my eyes where my primary complaint area was. The whole appointment took almost an hour, because the doctor comes in to insult you and then goes back to get the botox mixed and then later will saunter in when he feels like it to inject you. *I called my old botox office in WA and asked them about their "dilution". They were confused and said they just make botox as it is prescribed, it has no dilution. One unit is one unit. You pay for 30 units, you get 30 units. Also, it should be noted that my old botox office is the NUMBER ONE botox prescriber in ALL of WA state. His office does more botox than any other office in all of WA, they really do know what they are doing. That area has a lot of big tech companies (Microsoft, Google, Nintendo, facebook) so there is a LOT of money there and people who like their botox. I also got a script for Latisse while I was here and the doctor misspelled Latisse on it. For God's sake, he's the prescribing MD, he should know how to spell Latisse. 3rd and final visit. I scheduled and told them that my forehead was frozen and I still needed more for around my eyes like I originally asked for. I told them I needed their earliest appointment, I was told to come in at 8am. I thought, "great! I'm the first one, I'll get in and get out!". At 8:20, I still hadn't been called back. I went and spoke to the woman at the front desk (who was very nice... I do not like this place but the primary receptionist is nice) and asked about when the doctor was coming and she told me he wouldn't be in until at least 8:30, they normally schedule for 8:20 at the earliest for the 8:30 appointment. Why the F did the other person I spoke to waste my time and tell me to come in at 8am if 8:30 is the earliest they see people? I left, I did not reschedule. Ridiculous. I don't like to give 1 star reviews but I paid several hundred dollars for botox and the doctor didn't even inject it right. This place has zero respect for people's time and has no issues with wasting it. The doctor was insulting and kept trying to imply that I went someplace cheap for my botox before and he could not be further from the truth. I only go to the best when it comes to my face and this place is not the best. Maybe they can fool people who have lived in Buffalo all their lives and don't know any better than to wait endlessly and pay more than they should for botox, but you're not fooling me. I've called around to some other providers in the area and a lot of them charge by the "area treated" and let me tell you if you are new to botox, that is a giant rip off. Don't go to places by area treated, they are overcharging you. You want to know how many units you are getting and pay by the unit. Also, my old office in WA gave me chocolates whenever I came in for a visit. And they participated in the Brilliant distinctions program so every dollar you spend on Botox and Latisse would earn you rewards. read more

I've just had my second visit for botox with Dr. Scharf and his lovely sweet and kind nurse! He did a beautiful job and I look very natural. He also did just the slightest bit of filler in my chin and, again, I look very natural. His nurse makes sure you are comfortable during the procedure and talks you through everything! I have also previously left a review that I had with Dr. Scharf called the Q-Lift and it is BEAUTIFUL! Very, very natural and VERY little downtime! I trust Dr. Scharf 1000%! 2 Reviews in 1! Dr. Sharf is a godsend, and a master of his craft! In 2017, I entertained the idea of my first plastic surgery procedure, and went in for a consultation to see what could be done about my gynecomastia aka "Man boobs." - When you search this on youtube, you will often see a procedure where an oversized gland is removed, which is what I thought had to be done... In my consultation Dr Sharf was able to assess the area, and actually upon palpation told me that It did not feel like I had this oversized gland, but rather just soft fatty tissue, that could be visited and corrected with traditional Lipo. Boom! I scheduled my first cosmetic surgery! Everyone in the office, is so helpful and polite. LORI the nurse, that assists Dr. Sharf with everything from A to Z has the bedside manor of an angel. Answers all questions, helps with every part of the process, and is very warm at a time that can be very vulnerable, and scary! As someone who is in good shape, and works out regularly (5 days a week,) my body handled the surgery, and snapped back pretty quickly. 2 Years, and many workouts later, my chest is absolutely amazing, defined, and the lower fatty portion of my manboobs has been ancient history since 2017! Fast forward 2 years, to Nov 2019 - I went in for another procedure by Dr Sharf - Again, A thorough consultation by the man himself, and Lori! This time, I wanted to visit my lower back love handles, and sides, for some contouring, something that no mater how many weighted side bends, and core work, would not go away in the gym! No excuses, it is what it is, this is what vaser, and lipo is for... The area's that just WON'T go away for some... and not as an excuse to be lazy... Boom! I Scheduled my surgery which was now a week ago. And I am recovering beautifully. The areas that were done, are still swollen but when i removed the post surgical body binder 5 days after surgery in their office, I could totally tell that when this is all healed, it will be everything I wanted and asked for! I'm extremely thankful for Dr. Sharf's expertise, and skillset because both surgeries went smoothly, and I couldn't ask for anything more. It's good to know what you want, and to be extremely specific in your consultations because he is not someone to 'Upsell' you on any extra procedures, and convince you to get your entire body done. Or use the fat from "Here" and put it "There." This is both a blessing and a curse. Some people, just want the specifics, other people may wake up, and be like oh my goodness I "Should have" done this while I was under to just get it over with. I was one of those people LOL. But that's nobody's fault, but rather my lack of knowledge of the process, and how to be direct, and vocalize back in 2017, during my first procedure! It's really important to take care of yourself, be prepared (with your own compression gear for post binder removal, this is a series of hit or miss orders from Amazon... haha, and give your body the time to heal after surgery for Liposuction. You're pretty much up, and back to work, and normalish activities within 1-2 weeks, and back to a regular workout routine 4 to 6 weeks. At least for me, I'm a 28 Y/O male, 5'10, 180 workout 5 times a week. My body snapped back, and handled both surgeries very well. This won't be my last time seeing Dr. Sharf! I'm sure it's a great place for most services but my daughter and I have darker skin and wanted laser hair removal. We were told that they had experience but they burned a spot on my daughters face. A plastic surgeon in the D.C area, knew right away re the cause of the burn. It's common when cosmetic centers don't have the experience or the right lasers for darker skins. This place doesn't even warrant 1 star! I have gotten fillers and lips done many times by the best plastic surgeons. My experience in the past is that the plastic surgeon will actually listen to what you want and make suggestions...not look at you with a blank stare and not look at the picture of how you would like your lips to look. No personality at all... I should of left but I figured how can a plastic surg screw this up. I have never had my lips or fillers done the way he did it. #1 he injected Juvederm in the center of my lips on each side top and bottom and this is why they were completely uneven with lumps!!!!! Who does that?!?! #2 he just injected the fillers into my face in a blob. He said I should smooth the areas out over the next couple of days.......what?!? Outcome... two big lumps in between my eyes and painful, uneven lips and lumpy, lumps on my face where he injected and didn't fill the areas on my face that I requested. Do not go to this Place in Orchard park!!!!! I have no experience with the one in Buffalo other then dealing with the rude and not helpful at all office manager.. she wants me to drive 8 hrs to come back and see the doc who did this. I have sent pictures and nope not good enough. I wouldn't have this Doctor( the only Dr. who works in the Orchard park office) try to correct or touch my face ever again!!!!!
