Had the consult, great, demeanor great, then reviewing my meds he sees I'm on Estrogen and Progesterone and Testosterone replacement and asks why I'm on these meds. I clearly state I dont make hormones so I'm on all three. He quickly shifts demeanor and says "We dont work on people like you, I dont have the support for your type, go to ECMC where they work on people like YOU" I didnt bother to argue and left. I am born intersex female, I make zero hormones, but I'm a "People like you".

I was looking for a place to even out my asymmetrical lips (my left side is much fuller than my right). I had lip injections once before and it wasn't a great experience as I bruised terribly and the product fell low and I kept biting them. I expressed my concerns to Dr. Desai and he was wonderful. He spent a significant amount of time looking at my face and explained to me that bruising and falling product does happen, but he used a cannula techno which reduces bruises and swelling. He numbed and started the injections. He was gentle and I loved my lips immediately. (He chose Juvederm for my lips). Although the cannula technique was a little more intense than just injecting the lips, I completely agree it's much better for swelling and bruising. I'm writing this the next day and I hardly have any bruising which is insane! All in all I'm really happy. I will be back and I will get more of their great skincare services. I had moved from Chicago, and had managed this condition with just facials. However, stress, age and whatever, the facials alone did not work. So, I saw Dr. Sharf. He referred me to Dr. Dee (who I still see). Today, I still struggle with rosacea. However, between Dr. Dee and Sherri, it is under control.
