Intimidating. Walked in and there were 15 people sitting elbow to elbow all talking to each other like it was a party. No room to walk inside and sit down. No one to greet customers coming in. I called 30 minutes ahead to see how the waiting time was and was told to come in, no problem. I noped right out of there. Horrible customer service. Couldnt even do a simple lineup barber got frustrated told me to go "fuck myself" after it took TWO hours for a simple haircut after I gave him a 10 dollar tip for a 20 dollar haircut. It does get busy but there are other barbers that look to do a good job. Place is clean and there is a lot of waiting seating. If you are looking for a fade, this is the place. I was so excited to come to this place after reading reviews and seeing photos posted by other people. I took my son there for his first hair cut yesterday and left disappointed. My sons hair was cut by an inexperienced barber who had to be told what to do by I'm assuming the owner (shirt said jay). I showed them both the picture of what I wanted and it looked nothing like it. Then Jay asked to see the picture again in the end and asked what I wanted to do, then I was continuously being told it was a good hair cut. The lining is off, the line cut into the side isn't even and the top is way too short, I didn't think it'd be hard to mess this up considering my sons hair was down to his butt.. There was tons to work with. Totally a bad experience for us but my 3 year old is enjoying it so that's what matters. I've been looking for a barber for a few months after my older barber for ten years retired. Jay was recommended to me by a friend and I've gone with him for about a month now. I am extremely satisfied with the results and how he cuts and shape my hair and beard. I've gotten both blowouts and high fades. I personally have never done fades before but I really liked the way he gave me mine. I would recommended jay for my friends. This is my honest opinion on this place. I'm a 13 year old boy and this place is a mess, I went in to get a taper haircut today and i get in the chair fairly quick. I showed the guy a picture of what i wanted and he still didn't get it. That isn't the big problem here he called over another barber and we figured it out and he got to cutting hair. Mid way through the haircut he stops and goes to the cash register to do what not sure, He proceeds to sit there for a good 3 minutes talking to another barber.. Then after that he gets back up and continues, After "finishing" the taper he starts to trim the top which i clearly stated not to i let him continue because he was already half way through. Then comes the front of the hair and i asked him to just straight it up because i would like to keep it long and there was some hairs that were coming out uneven. He proceeds to go half way up more and start cutting without asking if that was a good place. I had no time to react it happen so quick. I'm not no barber but this "taper" was not no taper because the way he cut it was just like a 1 on the low part and a 3 on the rest. no blending or anything. Now we all know barbers move your head to get a better angle on it this guy was aggressive with it he was pushing and pulling my head everywhere to a point where it actually started to hurt. Then with the clippers they were so dirty i could see all the hair from the previous people, i'm pretty surprised he actually had a new razor for me, Didn't make a difference to anything because he didn't know how to use it i have a shit load of razor burn on the back of my neck from how hard he was pushing down. The haircut was so bad even my mom noticed. smh. gross and terrible haircut don't come here ! I even had my mom drive me to another haircut place CHICAGO CUTS way better. i was wondering why the haircuts were so cheap. 15 dollars.. i know now. smh DONT COME HERE! read more
