I picked Dr Valentino graduate school when I needed what turned out to be a serious amount of dental work (5 root canals, yikes!). After starting a treatment plan with one office in Cambridge it became clear that they were not very professional. I interviewed several dentists and picked Dr Valentino. I ended up selecting John because of his scientific approach, friendly demeanor, efficient meticulous work, reasonable prices and his ability to pragmatically schedule my work to maximize my dental plan benefits. I chose very, very well. Quite amazingly, Dr Valentino is a one man shop---he does all the work---running the office, IT, hygiene, fillings, root canals, customer entertainment (interesting stories) and crowns himself. Very, very impressive. During the course of two years Dr Valentino performed 5 root canal treatments and got what was a very depressing dental situation back under control without breaking the bank. Ten years later, not a single root canal has failed and my crowns are perfect. I owe my smile to Dr Valentino's excellent work. I couldn't be happier.

I've been to two teeth cleanings with him so far (both covered by my insurance) and just came out of my crown filling replacement. In and out in 20 minutes and the filling is BETTER than what I initially had (better as in comfort, shape, height). Tocci Dental is overpriced and overrated. Dr. Tocci has all of the fancy tools to make him look…read morelike he knows what he's doing, but those fancy tools come at a cost. I went to Tocci for several cleanings while I lived in MA between 2008 and 2010. From my first visit until my last Tocci repeatedly told me that I needed two crowns done, to the tune of $1,795 each (by comparison, my very good dental plan only considered $600 to be a fair and reasonable charge, meaning I would have had to pay $1,195 out of pocket). He even went so far as to state that at least one of them was desperately needed to save the tooth. What tipped me off that this may be suspect was all of the paperwork he wanted you to sign basically stating that it was a purely cosmetic proceedure and not medically necessary. I work as an insurance underwriter, so I took the time to read through everything and understand it. I then sought a 2nd opinion from a well-qualified dentist, and that dentist informed me that I did not need any crowns done at all, not even close. Even if I did, he only charged $950 per crown, not $1,795. On top of this, Tocci told my wife that she needed two cavities filled. She also sought a 2nd opinion and only needed one filled. So, if you go to Tocci, you'll get a good cleaning, but be weary of his trying to sell you on unncessary dental or cosmetic procedures. Many Wellesley residents may have the extra cash floating around that it's not a big deal, hence why he has been able to get away with this. But if you don't want to spend the extra bucks, I suggest going elsewhere.

I didn't like this and was growing frustrated with having to re-explain my dental history each time to a new person. Very difficult to build rapport when the staff is constantly changing. While that frustrated me it's not what made me leave. What made me leave was the fact that I had a crown placed by them and it broke 2 or 3 times within 1-2 yrs. I learned the hard way that Dr. Sahani doesn't put a warranty on his work. This gets very expensive as insurance won't cover the same tooth again for 5 years. I left for another dentist who guarantees their crowns for 5 years, and they were also appalled at the materials that Dr. Sahani used on my crown. They said if a crown keeps breaking there is a stronger material that can be used and they couldn't believe another dentist would keep using a cheaper material on me when they knew it was breaking. I was honest with Dr. Sahanis team when they called me to schedule my next cleaning: I said, your office doesn't provide warranties and I can't afford to shell out $2,000 three times in one year. They just said Ok and let a patient of many years walk out the door. This practice used to be one that I recommended to everyone, but I can no longer recommend them and suggest everyone ask about warranties before getting any major dental work done.

They do pretty much soup to nuts in terms of dental work including routine cleanings, fillings, and I believe teeth whitenings as well so it can be a one stop shop for dental work. Travel here is also pretty painless as there are a few parking lots within easy walking distance of the office with quite reasonable rates. There's also metered street parking but if you prefer mass transit, the green line has the Kent St. stop literally across the street. Love the office and have never had any reason to complain to or about Dr. Sahani or anyone on the staff. They do fantastic work here.

I did need a crown, which he was also good in being able to do on the spot with instrument in his office instead of waiting for months. Plus, he took extra care to make sure my bite was okay, etc. I would recommend him and his practice. My mother and daughter also see him. The office staff is also always friendly and caring.

Dr Guy worked on my mouth from March until June and I have never in my life experienced such horrible care in my entire life. In 5 months he pulled three teeth in the back of my mouth he put two implants and and took them out. When I first went into his office he asked me to change my insurance to tops and he could do everything. That was not true. After 5 months of care I finally left because the whole time he worked on my mouth it was infected. He stuck a novocaine needle directly into my abscess causing me to scream very loudly. When he stuck the needle into my abscess the infection popped out of my mouth into the air like busting a pimple. The more I screamed the harder he pushed the needle into my gum. There are so many other things that I could tell you but I think that is enough for now. I was so afraid to go to a dentist after him that it is January 2024 and I have had at least four infections after leaving his office. He he made my dentures and would not give them to me instead he sent me the mold that they take of your mouth before they make the dentures. He sent me that mold instead of my dentures as if I'm an idiot. He charged my insurance up because I got the paperwork of all of my visits and he charged my insurance for so many procedures that he never even did. I am currently contacting legal services because of his neglect. Usually when you go into a dentist office they will talk to you at least say hello and tell you what they're going to do. He never said hello to me he never spoke to me unless it had something to do with my insurance. He caused me great pain and the law is going to take care of this.
