Update: I went down from 5 stars to 2. I stopped going to this practice because I was seeing Dr. Sahani and Beth less and less, and with each return to the office I was forced to see a new dentist and receptionist. I didn't like this and was growing frustrated with having to re-explain my dental history each time to a new person. Very difficult to build rapport when the staff is constantly changing. While that frustrated me it's not what made me leave. What made me leave was the fact that I had a crown placed by them and it broke 2 or 3 times within 1-2 yrs. I learned the hard way that Dr. Sahani doesn't put a warranty on his work. This gets very expensive as insurance won't cover the same tooth again for 5 years. I left for another dentist who guarantees their crowns for 5 years, and they were also appalled at the materials that Dr. Sahani used on my crown. They said if a crown keeps breaking there is a stronger material that can be used and they couldn't believe another dentist would keep using a cheaper material on me when they knew it was breaking. I was honest with Dr. Sahanis team when they called me to schedule my next cleaning: I said, your office doesn't provide warranties and I can't afford to shell out $2,000 three times in one year. They just said Ok and let a patient of many years walk out the door. This practice used to be one that I recommended to everyone, but I can no longer recommend them and suggest everyone ask about warranties before getting any major dental work done. read more

I started going to Sahani Dental for Invisalign and regular checkups, but I had so many negative experiences that I switched as soon as my Invisalign treatment was finished. Dr. Sahani is an extremely friendly person, but I was not impressed with his dental care or his employees. First, they did charge me or tried to charge me more than their quoted price three separate times. When I had my invisalign consultation, I was quoted a promotional price for the treatment. When they billed me for it, they tried to charge me for the regular price. I had to call and send emails before they said they'd honor the promotional price. Additionally, part of the promotion was free retainers at the end. When I finished the treatment, they tried to charge me for the retainers, and it took more calls and waiting to get this sorted out. Another time during a visit, one of the receptionists charged me double what she should have and it took days before I got a refund. I am not sure if the office if just disorganized or what, but I felt that I always had to be on guard to make sure I was charged correctly. Secondly, they sent me texts last minute to reschedule many of my appointments. Once, they texted me two hours before my appointment asking if I could reschedule because they were closed for renovations. Their office is on my walk home, and as I passed by I saw through the window someone being treated at the time my appointment would have been. This seemed so strange to me, and it was even more so frustrating because they had rescheduled so many of my appointments previously. As the final straw, I went for a regular cleaning/checkup and they took X-rays. They said everything looked great, but one week later one of my wisdom teeth erupted. Two months later, a second one erupted. I just had to find a new dentist and they told me I definitely need them extracted, and they were baffled at how Sahani dental could not have seen this coming. All of these experiences were so ridiculous and frustrating, I cannot recommend this dentist to anyone. read more

We've been with Dr. Sahani for 3 years now and I've never had a better dentist. The entire staff (including Dr. Sahani) is pleasant and professional. They do pretty much soup to nuts in terms of dental work including routine cleanings, fillings, and I believe teeth whitenings as well so it can be a one stop shop for dental work. Travel here is also pretty painless as there are a few parking lots within easy walking distance of the office with quite reasonable rates. There's also metered street parking but if you prefer mass transit, the green line has the Kent St. stop literally across the street. Love the office and have never had any reason to complain to or about Dr. Sahani or anyone on the staff. They do fantastic work here. read more

Let me begin by saying I've had a long history of terrifying dental experiences, not to mention and ongoing battle with dental hygiene. In Spring of 2013, I finally gave in, after three years of not seeing a dentist, and went in for a cleaning. I knew nothing of Dr. Sahani except that his practice was in a convenient location and on my new dental insurance plan. My first visit was a cleaning, and Mary, the hygienist, was nothing but kind, gentle, supportive, and informative of the state of my teeth (which needed a lot of TLC). Dr. Sahani then examined my mouth and kindly told me of the work that needed to be done. He was in no hurry and was not forceful with the timing of the procedures that needed to happen. A few months later, after a good conversation, we decided to have veneers put in for my top front six teeth. The experience was absolutely painless and my teeth are BEAUTIFUL; no one even knows they're veneers, they look so real. I've also had a great deal of work done in the rest of my mouth. I'm currently in the middle of a double-crown procedure. I've had quite a few fillings, too. All procedures have been quick, painless, and relaxed. His work is flawless: visually appealing, and highly functional. I should close this in saying that for all the work I've needed to have done on my teeth, I have never once been uncomfortable or in pain. And my hygiene? It's better than ever! I actually look forward to my cleanings and working with the hygienist. No one enjoys going to the dentist, but Dr. Lebowitz put me at ease and made my gum graft virtually painless. I have never felt comfortable in the dentist's chair, but this all changed today. The procedure was quick and easy, and I cannot wait to see the results in the next week! It had been about 6 years since I went to a dentist so needless to say I was little on the nervous side walking into my appointment. However, everyone in his office from the receptionist to Dr. Sahini himself were incredibly warm and welcoming. I immediately felt comfortable and knew I was good hands. Even though I needed a few fillings he made the entire experience painless and was very conscientious of my comfort level the whole time. There is not enough I can say about how wonderful Dr. Sahani, Dr. Lebowitz, and the rest of the staff here are. Each and every time I make a trip in to their office, everyone is kind and respectful and makes my appointment as easy and comfortable as possible. I am someone who gets nervous when going in to the dentist, but I know I am in good hands with Dr. Sahani, never have I felt more at ease with undergoing a dental procedure. I feel exceptionally cared for every time I come to visit this office. The staff are all very friendly and nice. They treat you like a person and not a customer to the point that they know me by name when I call out of the blue. They fit me in the day I called with a toothache and made it top priority to get me the services I needed. They accept many insurances as well as Care Credit so I can worry less about affording treatment uncovered by crappy dental coverage. read more

This was such a great experience in comparison to my prior experiences that I made a note in my to-do list to write a review. I came in for a routine cleaning - new to the area but my dental appointments are fairly cool, good oral hygiene. I searched for dentists in the Boston area that took my dental insurance - delta dental. After 3 hours of going through reviews, I found Sahani Dental Office. Dr. Coombs was awesome, gentle hands. I just dozed off to the sound of classical music - and I have sensitive gums / gingovitis. I forget her assistant's name (it wasn't Beth) but she was nice too. I highly recommend coming here. I am bound to write my first review about this "excellently rated" clinic. Worst doctor that you can imagine. He is incapable of performing basic dental work. Uses cheap material and blames the patient when he botches up his work. Do not rely on him for any crown work. He has even pathetic doctors visiting to his clinic for other dental work like extraction, implant etc. He can't stand behind his own work. So here goes! Firstly, I very rarely write reviews, forums like this are usually a medium for so called "experts on everything", I am not! We are all restauranteurs, doctors, designers etc now it seems. What I do know is this, Dr Sahani is an artist. He cares passionately about his profession and he delivers a level of service that is truly rare to find, hence my desire to write this review. I hated my teeth all my life. I had a considerable gap in my upper front and I went to numerous dentists to proffer a solution. Their answers varied, their pricing was extortion and the timeframe was not acceptable to me. I wanted speed and a permanent solution- I got both. I met with him four weeks ago, the wonderful Beth furnished me with pricing and the plan was simple. I do not need to document this plan, suffice to say, it's simplicity was nothing more than years of experience, professional education and honesty would bring. I walked out with joy in my heart. Four weeks and a few appointments later I can finally smile with the confidence I had only ever dreamed about. No longer do I raise my hand over my mouth when I smile. No longer do I avoid taking pictures with my family and no longer do I feel embarrassed. I paid for what I got, it's just that I got what I wanted, and I got it in an environment that was world class, world class! Plan B is now to fix what Aspen Dental had only recently done, a complete nightmare from start to finish! I do not say that lightly. I thank all the staff and I thank the good Doctor in particular.
