For over 20 yrs this was my go to place for certain services but I had such a terrible experience there in May I will never return. I was so upset and disappointed I even mailed a letter that had to be signed for to one of the owners. I never got a response of any kind from her. I had a one-hour massage scheduled at 1230 with Nicole. I came in early, as requested, to update paperwork as I had not been to the spa since before the pandemic. Jim, a partial owner, informed me that Nicole was running a few minutes late and this concerned me immediately as I had a family event right after my services. I informed Jim that I was on a tight timeline. He acknowledged hearing me, and then continued his phone calls searching for loam for his lawn or something. It was clear that his mind was not on his business or his customers. After I had been waiting for 45 minutes, Jim left the front desk and came back a few minutes later stating Nicole had had a problem with the table. When she finally came to get me she was not apologetic and blamed the delay on the table. A 45 min delay b/c of the table?! Are you serious!? I wondered how long it would have taken her to start my service if Jim had not checked in with her b/c she did not call him for help. I understand that sometimes things happen that are beyond our control but her approach really communicated disregard for customer care and satisfaction. She was very disengaged and it was clear she wanted no part in the conversation I started as she wandered off and I had to ask where she went. I asked both of them what we were going to do as I had booked services and was now running very, very behind. I then learned my pedicure appt had been moved to 2 PM without my knowledge or confirmation. If staff need to modify appointment times, patrons really should be consulted. Jim made a halfhearted attempt offering me a service I did not want at a time that was 45 min away when I had already been waiting there for 45 minutes. I am sorry, but this was completely unacceptable. I left without receiving any of the services I scheduled weeks in advance. Most of the staff I have worked with there over the years have been great. Nicole was definitely the exception. But don't expect much in terms of hospitality or customer service. read more

I recently had my first facial. Jessica was my esthetician. She was amazing and very knowledgeable. The room was super clean, smelled amazing and was so peaceful. My BIGGEST take away is this. I have recently undergone radiation treatment for breast cancer and have a pretty significant 'burn" on my underarm. It is extremely painful and is causing me many sleepless nights. When Jessica saw it, she asked me if she could try something. Again, her knowledge came into play knowing cancer patients have to be very careful with what they put on. She got a balm that is, I believe, exclusive to Face to Nails and applied a thin layer. That was at 7:00 pm. I FINALLY got a decent nights sleep. No pain whatsoever. When I woke up and looked in the mirror I could not believe my eyes. It was literally like night and day. I have purchased a small jar of it and have used it for 2 days now. I have not had to have any kind of pad or gauze cover it because it is not hurting. Jessica literally brought me back to "life" if you will. Aside from the AMAZING facial, she went above and beyond to ease my pain, both physical and emotional. I went into work the next day and in addition to the compliments i received on how good I looked, I was also told that I have a "pep in my step" not seen for a long time. I 100% attribute that to Jessica and the products she used and her professional and caring manner. I love Face to Nails Day spa and will return to see Jessica, she does nails too. This is a nice little hidden gem. From the outside, you'd think it was some hole-in-the-wall salon. Inside, though, no way! This is definitely a spa. Two floors, modern furniture, beautiful environment. Everyone was very friendly and professional. I only went in for a haircut, but I wish I had gone for more. I had my haircut by one of the few male stylists there. Though I tend to be a little nervy about letting guys style up my hair, I gave him my trust and left pleased. He gave my limpy, fine hair a nice, voluminous cut that grew out beautifully over the next few months. My layers still curl out and fall down with little styling effort. He definitely worked some magic... now if only I could remember his name. I suppose my only complaint could be that everyone seemed a bit quiet and absorbed in their work. Not bad, but I like a little laugh and conversation out of my stylist. Salon price was pretty typical for a spa environment; pricey. I think I paid 40-something before tip. Staff is awesome, everyone is extremely friendly and very helpful. Each time I've been there, I've been checked in upon arrival in a timely manner and have always been offered a beverage. The spa is always clean and the setting is very peaceful and soothing. I've had quite a few services at the spa, including manicures, pedicures, as well as hair cuts and I've never been disappointed. I would recommend Face to Nails to anyone looking for a great place to be pampered. In response to another review that I read, I've had my nails done by Jameela several times and never had any complaints. She did in fact check her phone while I was with her as well, but it was never more than her looking at the time so it never bothered me. I don't believe there is a clock in the nail room so when you have set appointments, I'm sure it's helpful to know what time it is to see if you are running on schedule. read more

Extremely disappointed. I had purchased a gift certificate for my mother for Mothers Day, and accompanied her for a mani/pedi. While the host was friendly, the nail technicians left much to be desired. During the pedicure, Jamila checked her cell phone repeatedly. The nail polish was applied unevenly and the layers are noticeable and didn't cover fully. The manicure is filled with bubbles and wrinkles, despite 3 rounds under the dryer. The layers of nail polish dont start at the same point and look messy and amateur. For such an expensive experience, this salon severely lacked. $74 dollars for lackluster, messy application and a manicure that didn't last through the week. I will never return and urge anyone thinking of it to find someplace else. read more

The employees and owners work hard to make you comfortable, give you top notch service and keep things impeccably CLEAN! This is NO "hole in the wall" establishment, nor a place where anyone will acquire any type of infection from any nick received. This place is thoroughly CLEANED, yes, I've watched and examined. What's more likely is that we all carry bacteria on our bodies and I'm quite sure that any of their staff would be appalled if they did nick someone and would take appropriate steps to clean it and care for it. Though it's our own bodies bacteria that would cause an infection as such. There are plenty of medical places to review the information I'm relaying online. Try to keep in mind, the young ladies are under "time constraints", and this is a business, so any customer they lose for an appointment where they don't have enough time to schedule someone else in that slot, is money lost. Let's face it, they have employees to pay who have their own families to feed and support. A wonderful thing about life, "is that we can all choose to take a step back from a situation and put ourselves in the shoes of the other party". Both Jim and a Francine have worked very hard to make their establishment as wonderful as it is, with exceptional customer service along with white room cleanliness a relaxing atmosphere and wonderful experience. Twice I made appointments for very special occasions...I had to drive and waste gas ...just to be told my request could not be fulfilled ..due to a "miscommunication".....my fault? I think not..I will NEVER set foot in this place again...and I would highly reccommend that if you are planning a special occassion you do NOT rely on these people...Customer service at it's worst...I am so upset...and disappointed...I was told this place was great....well in my case they were terrific at proving they have no real concept as to how to treat a client...Shame on them.Once is understandable ..twice...very wrong. read more

Not a bad looking place, it truly is a full spa...two floors plus the basement space that they have made into spa rooms. Its nice if you can ignore the mold breeding under the carpets in the basement while getting a pedicure, massage or facial. So as long as you have no allergies its fine. I have found out over time that the employees are very much taken for granted, and most times you see any specials offered that they are the ones taking the loss. Those pedicure club cards are a great incentive for the client, however, the "free" pedicure you receive is an hour unpaid for the nail technician doing the service. I have spoken often to the employees of this spa and everyone I have spoken with has confirmed that they have had to do "complimentary services" for many clients and see no compensation from the owner. I have discontinued my visits to this particular spot in Chicopee for various reasons, but mostly because I feel that though it may look nice when you walk in the sanitation level is questionable. I was present at a time a client was bleeding profusely in a pedicure tub....I am unsure what had happened, but after the client was bandaged and left the owner of the spa came into the pedicure area...wiped down the chair, refilled the water and brought in the next client and put her into the chair. I was shocked to not see a little more effort on the cleaning of the tub that had just been bled in. Needless to say my comfort level of cleanliness lacks for Face to Nails...its too bad. It seems as though they run their employees a little too hard and are unable to keep up with necessary cleaning rituals. read more

This is the first time in my life I have reviewed a business, but I really want to share our poor experience in hopes of saving others from wasting their hard earned money. My tween daughter and I went for full body massages and "royal" pedicures. My massage therapist, Laurie, was terrible. In the hundreds of massage I have had had for therapeutic reasons over the years I would give her a 2 out of 10. She completely skipped the hands and feet, which are so important when you work on a computer all day and have a bad back, and the rest of her massage techniques were sub par as well. I am going to have to get another massage somewhere else just to help relieve the pain my body is in after a massage from Laurie. I don't mean your normal day after soreness, I mean pain. Now to my daughters "royal" pedicure. I am not 100% sure of the tech's name. It took them a while to find her. They eventually did and my daughters treatment started 6 minutes after mine. Then she was "done" 15 minutes before me. Turns out, her tech never gave her the included foot / leg massage. That explains the fact that her service was 20 minutes less than mine. The owner believed her staff in that she did provide the massage portion too but could offer no explanation of the time variance. Like I told her, that's fine we will be happy to bring our business elsewhere. There are a number of really good day spa's in the area to choose from but face to nails is not one of them as far as we are concerned. read more
