I am very selective on who I allow to touch my eyebrows and her ability to be consistent each visit with the end results and be able to have a conversation with her customers at the same time is real talent! Very satisfied with my services here! I came on a Sunday for a little pampering; I got a facial, a massage, and some sort of foot treatment. A quick rundown: I was able to book my services online which I really liked- I hate talking on the phone sometimes. I did need to put down a small deposit but I was ok with that. The prices are really good for the services you get. I think they have packages that make things even better so check the website for those. The spa is in a converted home, and as other reviews have mention it's super cozy. They lock the front door between services, which is nice because you wont hear anyone talking in the "lobby". There isn't much parking (just for two cars I think) but that's ok because I don't think they take more than one person at a time anyway. The Facial: The facial room was painted a calming lavender color, it smelled nice and they had some sort of new age music playing. Angela did my facial- she was very gentle and I think did a great job. She talked to me but was not too talkative (this is a major pet peeve of mine). Along with the facial they put my hands and feet in plastic baggies and then covered them with heated mittens/ booties. I'm not sure if that happened because I got the foot treatment or if this is normally what they do. The Massage- This was in a different room, cant remember the color or anything but was bigger than the room I got my facial in. Also had new age music playing. Sara did my massage and did a really great job too. It was a little intense but that was my fault for not speaking up (she did say if it's too hard let me know). She didn't chat with me at all (other than to ask if I was ok or to ask me to shift) and that suited me just fine! Sara also massaged my feet and it was AWESOME. Again, I'm not sure if they normally do this or it was part of the foot treatment. Overall- I had a really good experience here and would return and recommend. read more

After our session she had a great recommendation for the next facial that would work best on my fair skin, which is what I need! I had my best massage EVER with Marci yesterday. She is very knowledgeable and is happy to share that knowledge to explain why certain muscles hurt. I have gone to Mind Body & Skin a handful of times and I have always had a great experience. At my appointment this past Wednesday the staff went above and beyond. I had a waxing appointment with Angela at 5PM. I was coming a distance and traffic was AWFUL! I called to apologize and the receptionist was so empathetic and accommodating. I finally arrived at the Spa at 5:45. Angela was in another appointment but I waited. Even though Angela was completely booked solid AND it was totally my fault that I was late, she still managed to work on me. I never once felt like a burden or like I was being rushed. Super cute and cozy place. I've gotten waxed by Angela, and she is as delightful as can be. Very nurturing. She is also meticulous in that she doesn't rush things, and she looks over the area again to make sure she didn't miss any hair. She will also have you look over the work to make sure that you're satisfied. You can tell that she takes pride in making sure that the job is done well. My eyebrows are exuding the most beautific of holiday amazingness thanks to the artiste known as Jenna. ***** Yeah, so my eyebrows continue to rock. Had Jenna wax my eyebrows a third time and have my fourth appointment already booked. Please note I drive FROM ANOTHER STATE, about a 40 minute drive, to have Jenna do my eyebrows. I live in an area where there are probably two dozen salons and spas within a 10 mile radius of my home. When you find someone this good, you don't ask questions. You. Just. Go. ****** Update on 9/28/12 Jenna did a great job on my eyebrows again. No one but Jenna will ever touch my eyebrows again. She's got the touch to make you look SUPER. ******* The spa is easy to find with a large sign out front. Services offered here are massage, facials, waxing, Reiki, manicures and pedicures just to name a few. Upon walking in, you find yourself in a cozy, well-decorated, relaxing setting. After a rather bad threading incident that left my brows lackluster and depressed looking, Jenna offered to shape my brows for me. They used to be things of beauty, my brows, but too many encounters with overzealous waxers and threaders had left them anything but. I laid down on a comfortable pillow-top table as Jenna carefully applied warm wax to my eyebrows. She plucked a few stray hairs that the wax couldn't get to. The entire time, we had a nice chat. Jenna has such an easy, laid-back manner about her which makes her ideally suited for the work of an esthetician. I can see why she owns a successful salon with several employees. I emerged with lovely shaped eyebrows. I kept looking in the mirror, fascinated that these were "MY eyebrows". I could have wept in relief and and hugged Jenna in gratitude that something so simple and quick could make such a difference. Alas, you need a truly talented "artiste" of an esthetician to get your eyebrows looking this good. Are eyebrows one of the most overlooked and undervalued part of one's face? Yes. Can a $13 dollar, quick, near painless, spa treatment make a huge difference? Yes. This experience at Mind, Body & Skin has got me hankering for more self-care offered in this relaxing environment with the charming and calming Jenna and her wonderful staff. Quiet and quaint location. Had the mud therapy body mask. Before even the treatment started, was given the choice of which oil scent I wanted for after the mud removal. Mud portion was soothing and relaxing, wrap felt so good, almost fell asleep. While in the wrap, Kayleigh gave an amazing head/temple massage. I was experiencing 7/10 pain of my infraspinatus muscle for four days and the pain was not getting better, so I made an appointment with Amy for a deep tissue massage and she was AMAZING! Before we started, Amy asked me what had been going on and went into detail about her approach to help alleviate the muscle pain. She was kind, caring, and made me feel comfortable. Not only did Amy work on my trigger points but she also identified and alleviated pain around the surrounding inflamed areas as well. The next day after the massage, my pain was significantly reduced (now its more of an aching sensation) and I can actually proceed to do daily activities that were difficult to do the previous day (slow and steady)!
