She was on time and she greeted me with a gift package containing little beauty essentials to keep my makeup flawless throughout the day. She did an excellent job with blending the pigments to match my skin tone! Which is something tough with even the most skilled makeup artist! My makeup ended up looking smooth, light, well blended and flawless. I wanted a classy, sexy, elegant look with a red lip and eyelashes; she surely delivered. I felt stunning! I was almost going to do an Audrey Hepburn by standing by Tiffany & Co. In bright daylight for others to admire my beauty... However, I didn't, I had enough just by walking the streets. We had great conversations. I felt genuinely heard and cared for. I am so happy and grateful I met her. I wanted her to do all my upcoming photoshoots, too bad she is planning on relocating. I'm wishing her a lot more success in her future endeavors.

Luckily while on Yelp I found Vanny randomly. Her page only had one review at the time but the review was done by the husband which I found cute. I contacted her and ended up booking my trial session to be done with my bridal portraits. When we met up the original time frame was 2ish hours but it ended up taking about 3 hours but we had enough time to make it where we needed to be for pictures. I had a decent amount of hair to curl and I was using clip in extensions so it added some more time. Lets just say that even though the appointment took a little longer than I was expecting, I LOVED how it turned out. She loves sharing ideas on Pinterest so I had pinned several ideas already and she was able to take those ideas and my makeup and hair were beautiful. When it came to actual wedding day she did the makeup of my three bridesmaids as well as myself and it went very smoothly. She set up shop in our hotel room and one after another did our hair and makeup. It took about 6.5 hours from enter and exit of the hotel room which may seem a bit long but two of the bridesmaids had pretty long hair which took longer to curl and fix. Overall she was phenominal and I would higly recommend her to anyone else! She was sweet to work with and my mother loved her, which matters when planning a wedding!!

At this point I was getting a little nervous because we had dinner reservations for 8:30. We were then informed that Latasha would not be the one doing our makeup because she wasn't there ( bummer because the website let us choose her as the artist) I think somewhere during the booking should have made it clear that she may not necessarily be the one doing us. The artist saw the uneasiness on our faces and assured us that both she and the other young lady were good as well and that we could look at their work on IG but she didn't give us their names. Anyway, the spot is a cute quaint shop. There was a hairstylist straightening someone's hair which had my throat itching from the smell of burnt hair. Our makeup came out pretty. It appears that these are freelance artist that use their own products. One of my friends face was done with MAC products but mine was done with AJ Crimson . The one that had the MAC makeup lasted longer because the AJ Crimson is very oily to me. I've had it applied by two other MUAs in the past and the same thing happens, greasy. I did enjoy the choice of lip color and end up purchasing a tube. I think it's called Show Time. Nice salon but I prefer to have the artist that I selected at the time of booking actually be the one that does my face.

I decided to be adventurous and ask for bangs and I was so impressed! I know it is just bangs, but she cuts them to give them such versatility to fit my specific needs (from being able to swoop them over when for work, to pin them back for working out to styling them with my glasses for nice events. I also recently finished a make-up lesson with her, and she was so patient with me and made me feel comfortable. I'm in my 30s and have never learned to wear make-up... yes, I know crazy, so you can imagine how much she had to explain things to me. She suggested I take pictures and write down notes which has been super helpful! Quala works by herself, no staff and is pretty loud and unprofessional When she did my lashes, she charged me what a salon would... and she did them in my living room.... not very spa-like.... I think her application process is unsanitary... she ran a lighter through the tweezers that she used on my lashes!!!!!.... i was shocked. also, just from one professional to another... leave your son at home when you see clients.... its a total turn off... my house isn't a day care and it ruins my experience when you have to discipline him while i'm paying you 30-something dollars. there's nothing lavish about having to hear your kid whine. she doesn't accept credit cards, cash only which is a little odd to me if she's charging over $100 for "lash packages" as her website claims.
