Unfortunately, the service was not done properly. Multiple areas were missed, the technique was rough (including re-waxing the same sensitive area), and I left with significant irritation and bumps. I'm 15 weeks pregnant, and I had chosen this spa specifically because I wanted to feel safe and confident in the provider's experience. I reached out afterward and was offered a "touch-up," but with the irritation I experienced, it didn't feel safe to continue. This was not the level of care or professionalism I expected, and I'm really disappointed given the spa's previous reputation.

It was very quiet and had nature sounds music and a tv with cherry blossoms floating on the screen, which was really nice. The pedicure was very relaxing and the polish turned out beautifully. I got to the manicure and the polish was a solid 2mm from my cuticles on all fingers, so it looked like it had grown out for a couple weeks right after having gotten it done. The sides of my nails weren't completely covered, and it just wasn't great. I tried to let it go, but then the polish chipped within four days. I reached out and they said they could fix the chips, and I also mentioned the gaps in an email. I came in and they were very sweet about redoing it. The person asked what color I wanted, and I had said the same color that I got before. They asked if I remembered the number and I didn't, so they brought the colors over and I was trying to look through and didn't see it. I was trying to match and kind of felt like I was left alone to try and find it again instead of getting involved help to match. I really couldn't find it and was getting nervous, so I saw one that I thought looked similar and chose that one. (It was not as close as I had thought because the light wasn't quite on it; I had thought it was more brown than it turned out to be.) Got them finished, it was a lot better than before. That was the 12th. I have a quality assurance job that has me using a lot of pressure with my hands to check products, and the gel polish has chipped again already. The only thing is that I've done my own nails before while doing the same quality assurance job and my polish lasted for a few weeks before chipping. It wasn't a bad experience, but I wouldn't come back.

The salon is in a remodeled older house with beautiful natural light and big windows. I felt like I was at somebody's home, having a chat, and getting dolled up. It was wonderful after a year of "pandemic chic" hairstyle! Sarah and the staff there were great with COVID safety precautions. I waited outside until my turn and got the text to go in. Once inside, we all wore masks the entire time, and staff kept areas sanitized and clean. Parking is around back and street side as well. They offered us 20% off a future service, but that was pretty much it and sent us on our way. My boyfriend pointed out that if we had cancelled, we would have had to pay 50%, but I won't speak more on that. We were lucky to get in the following weekend for a couples massage, but they weren't very accommodating to our schedule even though they initially cancelled on us. After we had already driven there. The massage we got was great, my masseuse was more about applying pressure than actual massage, which isn't usually my thing, but I have so much relief from it so I can't complain. My boyfriend also thoroughly enjoyed his massage. As far as our service went, it was great. I'm just not sure I would continue coming back here since it hasn't been the greatest experience.
