However, don't necessarily expect them to listen to everything you request. I requested thresholds for the bedrooms. It was in the quote & therefore my contract. It was in the installers instructions. The installers said they would install them on second day. However, they were not installed. When requested thresholds to be delivered to me, stained, so I could install them, the response back I received was no we would rather not, but if you want them at a later date, we will do it. Yes they took the thresholds off the invoice. But that's not the point. If you tell the customer we can do that, but decide you don't want to do that, then why did you tell me in the first place? And if you forgot to do that task, why not make it right and complete the task?

During the estimate, their representative was knowledgeable, friendly, and open to all our questions about the company and the work we needed. Scheduling was clear, and they fit us in faster than any other company we contacted. Their pricing was also very competitive compared to other local companies we'd reached out to. The work itself was solid. Our wood floors are at least 30 years old--probably older--so while they don't look brand new, they look *great*. The team worked consistently and made repairs where needed. If you expect decades‑old flooring to look brand‑new, you might be better off installing a completely new floor. My only hesitation was communication with the crew leader during the project. The job took about five days, and on the first day they arrived several hours late. The roads were snowy and unplowed, which is understandable, but there was no communication about the delay. I also never heard any updates as the project went on throughout the week unless I chased after them. A little transparency goes a long way. But hey--they offer functional flooring, not functional communication. Jokes aside, I'd hire them again.

Unfortunately, what should have been a straightforward project turned into a very disappointing experience involving poor communication, questionable decisions made during the work and a finished product that required multiple attempts to fix. Throughout the project, decisions were made by the crew without asking us how we wanted things handled. Those decisions resulted in visible filler, patched areas, and other issues in our newly refinished floors that required them to come back out and attempt repairs. For a project of this size and cost, we expected much better attention to detail and communication. When we raised concerns, the crew lead who originally did the work was confrontational and not helpful in resolving the situation. Another lead eventually came out to review the issues, but by that point there was only so much that could realistically be done to fix the problems. Communication with the office was also frustrating. Emails frequently went unanswered and we had to call multiple times just to get responses. At times it felt like the focus was more on making the issue go away rather than properly addressing the quality of the work. We even reached out afterward about repairing a scratch made by our cleaners (which we offered to pay for), and they never followed up with us to schedule the repair. What makes this especially disappointing is that we had used Functional Floors before and had a great experience, which is why we hired them again and even recommended them to a friend (who also had a poor experience and lots of re-work). This project cost us over $15k and the level of workmanship and service fell well short of what we expected. Many of these issues likely could have been avoided with better communication, attention to detail, and a more professional approach to addressing customer concerns.

I have contacted them about the warranty and company failed to respond even after a certified letter. We have video and photo evidence that shows complete damage to our property, even after they attempted to resolve an issue. The Flooring Company sent out a cleaning crew and painter to attempt to resolve some issue, which ultimately failed. There are numerous soft spots throughout the floors, confirmed by numerous contractors after installation. We aren't asking for perfection but a professional job after spending over $25,000 for flooring. Your business practices we have experienced has been deceptive and unprofessional. UPDATE: Owner sent me an email asking to remove my bad review or he will pursue legal action. Watch out! Deceitful! The photos reflect the condition of which The Flooring Company LLC left my property in after they completed the job. I had to complain and push to get a cleaning crew which was ineffective (I had to spend $400 to get a cleaning crew to come out after The Flooring Company LLC's cleaning crew "cleaned" the property). Additionally, The Flooring Company LLC hired a painter to patch the damage to my walls, which did a poor job. Absolutely unacceptable and unprofessional company. I'm looking forward to The Flooring Company LLC to post the final images and videos of their flooring at my property--which would be downright embarrassing for their company. When I first met with Rob he came to the house I had just purchased and was very confident as he made his way around my house looking at my floors. He explained the type of wood floors the house had and made sure to give me a timeline for how long the job would take. He concretely stated it would take 3 days to complete the work. His confidence gave me confidence that he would do a great job. After receiving the quote for roughly $12,000, we pulled the trigger and hired Four Seasons. We scheduled the work to be done before we moved into the house with the 3-day window Rob stated would take the crew to complete the job. When the crew showed up, they laughed in my face when I told them we were moving in. They said the job would take a week at minimum to complete. I didn't have an option to bump back my move in date as I was moving from across the state and had to move out of our old house. Rob came through and said they will have to do 1 floor first then the other and we'll have to move our furniture around to accommodate. I was annoyed but, it was getting done so, whatever. Once they got our dining room/den sanded down, it was explained to me that the floors were engineered hardwood and they sanded through to the plywood in a few spots. Oops! Rob said "no big deal. We can come back later and replace those few boards." They also never finished reinstalling the shoe molding through roughly 50% of the house. He claimed he would come back "in a couple of weeks to get it finished up." So, I had him come back to replace the boards in the floor and look at the molding in which he said "no, you can't really do that" and said we should just replace the whole floor in that room for "about $4500 to $5000". Understandably, I was pissed but what could I do? Fast forward 6 months and we're in the middle of summer and humidity. With the increase in humidity the parquet floor in the family room buckled in 2 different directions. This floor has been in the house since 1962 and has never buckled. However, when he refinished the floor he said it was "loose and needed tightening." to which he then tightened and glued the ends so it would stay tight. He claimed to have "fixed" the floor. Now it's so tight that it doesn't allow for expansion and contraction. I messaged Rob about this to which he got an attitude and said that it had nothing to do with his work and it was a moisture problem I needed to solve. I let him know this has never happened in the past and he said they I should just contact a different professional. I've had 3 different floor companies all come out and take one look at the floor, shake their head and then apologize for laughing. Every company has let me know how I got screwed in the deal and they the sanding of the engineered wood should never have happened and the "tightening" of the parquet is what ruined the floor. To say that I'm disappointed is the understatement the year. I spent $12k on "refinished" floors that now just have to be completely replaced because Four Seasons came through and essentially destroyed them.
