So I was thrilled to find out that the Twin Cities now has two locations at which to shop (as well as online). I had made some purchases a few days ago at the Mall of America location, but needed to exchange sizes. I headed over to Ridgedale so I can check out the Wayzata location. I was greeted by Jaynelle, who was so friendly and helpful! She saw my matching Toy Story Little Green Men t-shirt, shoes and backpack, and told me I was the "cutest thing" she'd see all morning. I told it was sad that a 52-year old man dresses this way, and she said that was far from the truth. I told her that I would be her "problem child" because I had three things to exchange. The first two were easy, because she had the t-shirts in larger size. The last one was more difficult, because it was from the sales rack. They didn't have the shirt I wanted, but I found a real cool Lion King hoodie. The was also a neat Lion King jacket which I'll "need" at some point. While I didn't get the shirt I wanted, I have another product in its place which I love. And it's all thanks to Jaynelle and her top-notch customer service. I may have been the cutest thing she'd seen that morning, but she really made my day!

I did find a cute journal that I know my friend would love but when I picked it up it had some kind of liquid on the bottom which was gross. Parking is usually pretty rough at this strip mall but they do have a back lot as well and usually a bit more luck taking that route. One of the cashiers here was taking her sweet time ringing up a customer and the vibe was very weird with her mean mugging everyone. At one point another staff member was walking up and asked her "why are you looking at me like that". So yeah, there's that.

The mall is Ridgedale. It's a good location if you want some privacy and plenty of stock because they don't have a massive amount of customers. Neither does the whole mall. It's definitely kind of a boutique on the higher end of the expense and class scale, with kind of expensive stuff that's like Bohemian and Artisan clothing - so definitely nothing that Barbie would be interested in, but we still respect the shop, and the people working here really friendly.

Shop selection is meh, I went into a few but didn't find anything to purchase which is just fine by me - I needed a place to hang out that was warm and this was it! Also a somewhat better food court would be cool, but there are a ton of options for food outside of the mall/in the area. They do host cool events from time to time like the traveling Hello Kitty Cafe, which is cool.

Well I'd say this is a pretty prime example of it! I've been to plenty of Plato's Closets and this one definitely takes the cake for higher end, bougie, brand name items. I just peaked around the store a little but wasn't planning to buy. Once I was done walking around for maybe 5 minutes, I went to the counter because I assumed they were done. There was no one at the counter but there was no indication as to whether they were ready for me and my bags weren't insight... Finally the man gave me my bags and let me know that they were passing on everything because of slight wear and styles that don't do well for them. Overall this Plato's does a lot better than others in stocking brand names but also does a pretty horrible job at customer service. I would endure rude employees to come back for brands if I had to but I don't think it'd be too enjoyable of an experience!
