The coaches are super encouraging and do a great job guiding you through the slow, controlled movements that make Solidcore so effective. The Mosaic location is also a huge plus. There's ample parking in the garage, and it's free for a few hours, which makes getting in and out stress-free. After class, you're right in the heart of Mosaic District with tons of great spots to grab a smoothie, coffee, or a full meal--perfect for a post-workout reward. Highly recommend this location for both the workout and the convenient, lively atmosphere around it!

I love the coaches in the Mosaic location (I haven't been to other locations). I am a total beginner to pilates-like classes and the reformer machine. I took ~3 foundation classes to get started and I felt like the instructors were all so great at helping me improve my form to get the best workout possible. I feel pushed but not shamed into challenging myself. They sell towels and water if you happen to forget to bring either. I feel like a sweat a mild-moderate amount and I don't think a towel is absolutely necessary. Water is probably a good idea - but the class is pretty fast-paced so not a ton of time for water breaks anyway. Now that I'm hooked, I typically do ~2 classes/week. I like the early AM classes (but they fill up fast!). I feel like this gym is clean and compact. I get exactly what I need out of it. There aren't showers so plan accordingly if you have plans afterwards (it's a good sweat!) I like their Public Goods toiletries and have even bought some myself after using them at this gym. Awesome location, awesome coaches, and awesome workout :)!

I am extremely disappointed with how HOTWORX Vienna handles membership cancellations and customer…read moreconcerns. Trying to cancel my membership has been one of the most frustrating experiences I've had with any fitness studio. I spoke directly with the owner of the facility, and instead of taking accountability or assisting with my request, he repeatedly deflected responsibility by saying that "corporate" makes all the decisions. It felt like a constant game of passing the blame, which is completely unprofessional for someone in an ownership position. Additionally, they intentionally leave out certain information to get you to sign up, and once you have a card on file to pay for the membership, they charge fees and have rules that are hidden in the contract. When asking questions about these fees and membership terms, I was misinformed by multiple employees, including the owner. Furthermore, when signing up they also state you "must" buy THEIR mat and towel (which are insanely expensive, over $100) to use in the sauna, but in overhearing a guest tour during my session, another employee stated "any kind of mat and towel can be used in the sauna, even one off Amazon." I would NOT recommend HOTWORX Vienna to anyone looking for a reliable or honest fitness experience. This kind of misleading practice is disappointing and untrustworthy. Lastly, the facility itself also leaves a lot to be desired. The bathroom is consistently unsanitary, and there's often visible sweat on the inside of the sauna glass doors between sessions -- which is unacceptable for a place that markets itself around health and wellness.

I workout here regularly and have had a great experience. I love having a more private space to…read moreworkout and always feel safe to do so here. Sauna workouts during the long, cold winter are a game changer!

If you are looking to go to an OTF in northern Virginia, I would go elsewhere…read more I signed up with a founders rate at another local OTF studio whose opening has been delayed - I'm supposed to get a free HR monitor when it opens. I had been a member back in Chicago pre-pandemic 2.5 years ago, but gave it up due to COVID concerns. They checked and since it was over 6 months, I was eligible for the founders rate. Given the delays, they were able to secure a temporary membership for 1-2 months with their sister studio at the regular price, but said I could go anywhere, so I've been going to Dunn Loring, as it's the closest one to my work. My home studio said I could borrow a HR monitor until i received mine when they open- I called Dunn Loring and confirmed this was true, I went about 10x without issue, borrowing and returning the HR monitor after the class. Then on Thanksgiving Day, I walked in for the 7am 90 min class and the sales associate told me they couldn't let me borrow a HR monitor anymore. She said they had "found out" that I was a member in Chicago (2+ years ago, where I lived previously) and now the sister studio temporary membership, and that they never should have let me borrow a HR monitor and that I "had cost them about $200 in revenue at this point". They went on to say that they had called my new home studio -- but oddly didn't bother to email me or call me at that point, instead throwing accusations at me on THANKSGIVING MORNING and trying to make it seem like I did something dishonest and sketchy when I literally did nothing wrong. I find working out to be pretty intimidating and enjoyed the friendly OTF community. I really liked the coaches and how close it was to my job, but that encounter soured the entire experience for me. OTF was great stress relief for me, but I can't imagine walking past that hostile front desk ever again. I emailed afterwards and cc'd both my new home studio and the Dunn Loring studio - even though my new studio was wonderful and reassuring the experience there will be different, there has been radio silence from Dunn Loring. Anyway there are a ton of studios in the area and it's probably better to visit another one instead.

The gym is no longer open 24 hours. Instead they close around 11pm during the week and modified hours Friday til 10pm, and 8-8 Saturday and Sunday. The facility could really use some updates. A lot of the treadmills have out of service signs on them and it takes months to see machines getting fixed. Pool is still out of service for well over 9 months, maybe even a year. Pros: It is convenient for me and I purchased my membership with a great rate. I've been coming here for about 2 years. If I can get the same rate at renewal time, I will keep the membership, but if they double or triple the rate, I will cut ties. Customer service: Not much interaction. The Personal Trainer Manager, she's outstanding, very welcoming and always positive interactions with her. She was very helpful with answering questions and concerns when the gym was transitioning from Xsport to LA Fitness to make sure we understood the details . Front desk staff, some say hello, some are on their cell phones and don't look up. Personal Trainers, usually on their cell phones, sitting at their desk and don't extend themselves past that. For other studios, I often dragged myself to class just to finish a class package, but for BASH I get so excited and pumped to go. It's been about 2 months here and I'm already 30 classes in! BASH is a combo of boxing and high intensity strength training for 45 minutes. Half of us start with floor exercises while the other half is on the bags, and you switch 1 to 2 times, so class really just flies by. The punching bags are filled with water making it easier on joints compared to traditional bags too. The coaches here are all amazing... so energetic, friendly, encouraging, and motivating! I think they have a very good balance of knowing who you are, but not getting into your business (unless you want them to lol); and giving you pointers during class but also providing you plenty of space to just get a good sweat in. I really appreciate that. I also love how they encourage us to give fist bumps...it's such a simple act but really gives you a sense of camaraderie and encouragement!

Super convenient. There is parking just behind the gym if you drive there. I took the Bash, Box and Burn classes. For me the Box class was by far the best. It's extremely hard. Like no joke. It was great. Bash was really good too. Burn wasn't for me. It's more of a yoga class which is just not my thing. It was a little confusing given the brand but whatever. I should've read the details more closely when I signed up for that one. Also I have a wrist injury so couldn't do most of that class anyway. The Bash and Box classes go super fast so if you are unfamiliar with the six basic punches of boxing I would suggest getting a 101 class first just so you don't feel overwhelmed. Because it's so small it feels very community based. If tons of amenities are your thing this may not be the right fit. That said, I appreciated the towels and in the women's room there is a nice selection of toiletries. It also may not be right for anyone who needs adaptions due to injury. The classes just go too fast for that and all of the instructors are very young so maybe not super mindful of older bodies. It is very loud and tight quarters, by design but worth knowing in advance. There are free lockers. It was nice to see a huge diversity of ages, bodies and genders in the clientele. Good vibe.

As soon as you walk in, they ask you for your name to check in and then direct you to one of the two studios in which the class will be taking place. The studios were very clean and well maintained. There were lights lining the floor around the room. I'm not sure if this was for the holidays or if this was a permanent lighting.... But it was still nice! I loved that the classes were held in the dark... With the just the lighting along the floor. The the two classes I attended were in the evening, candlelight one was R&b music. The other one was rap music. I'm not going to lie, the music with lyrics is very distracting when it comes to yoga! Especially because the music was pretty loud and the yoga instructor did not use a microphone. As soon as Ginuwine "Differences" and Anoop Dogg "Drop it like it's hot" came on, yoga was over for me LOL. I like that they offer locks at the front...for free, but I had my own lock. They can be returned either in the basket in the bathrooms or at the front. They also provide other toiletries and sanitary products. Also, for first timers, they provide a mat for free which is then returned at the end of the class. There's parking surrounding the building but it can get a little tight. Would I return? Sure, absolutely if it fits my schedule!
