Generally clean, decent array of equipment and amenities, and usually friendly staff. Over time, I did think sometimes equipment took a bit long to repair, and the lack of simple basics like paper towels in the bathroom was something I wished they had. I also just found myself having to wait on equipment way too frequently, even when the gym wasn't that crowded because they only have one version of some machines and they have a much older crowd at this gym that likes to just sit there talking or scrolling their phones and doesn't seem very serious about working out. Having to navigate the One Loudoun traffic and parking garages also felt like a chore sometimes. At the end of the day, if this gym were a little cheaper I might have considered renewing after my initial term. But it's 1:1 the same cost as the brand new OneLife in Ashburn that has way more equipment + dozens of locations, open space, aquatics, recovery room with compression, red light, and hydromassage, towels included, and more, with a convenient parking lot only one exit farther down Route 7 to boot. I've actually seen 20+ regulars I knew from TFE now working out at OneLife so I think most of the serious gymrats have picked up on the fact they can get more for their money and jumped ship. Farewell, TFE. You were a good gym, I'll always cherish our times together.

I love the layout, one level, which I got to preview at the preview center originally and now in person. They offer different classes than I'm used to at gyms, which is cool. The staff has been super helpful and friendly. Honestly, I don't know how other gyms in the area, which I have used and know charge similar rates (~$60), are going to compete. Aside from Lifetime (which is over $200 a month), you won't find a nicer gym with such an array of equipment in Loudoun County.

And I know that may be a cliche but it isn't. This is a community gym. The atmosphere is kind and supportive no matter who you are or your fitness level. For reference I am a 30 year old woman and have friends here that are twice my age. I've never felt pressured, bullied or creeped out once. Now let's talk about the staff... Brent. Brent, is the manager and has been since I joined. He has built a wonderful team and as far as I can tell a pretty positive work environment for everyone. He always remembers my name despite the fact that I've hardly ever worked with him directly. Wendy. Wendy is exceptional with members and our community. She always waves and stops to talk to me when she passes. And I'm pretty sure she knows everyone at this point :) I've made friends with many of the trainers here and so will you. Let's see who we've got... Zoe. Zoe is someone I've known for two years now and have actually become close friends with. She is without a doubt the nicest woman I've ever met. She knows a lot about running and cardio, so if you've got the thrill for a race she is your girl! Dan. Dan is a character and who many people turn to for advice about basic movement mechanics and health. Oh and he is pretty much athletic in everything. Just ask what he does in his free time. Haha Chris. Chris is a rockstar. He does classes in the early mornings along with a few other trainers and is consistently a happy guy. He will always try to make you laugh...don't tell Dan I said that. Stacy. I don't know Stacy very well but I know she works hard and is an early bird that loves to run. She has always been very sweet and kind towards everyone. I can't list all the people that make this place great but these are definitely the people that have influenced me the most. For the first year at Oak I worked out almost every day and every day I was greeted with the same kindness and support. Without that I'm not sure I would have stuck out with my journey. I can now do 5 pull ups in a row, deadlift over 220lbs and hip thrust over 300lbs. These are just a few of the goals I've set and reached for myself and I'm so glad I was able to accomplish them in such a place as Oak. If you have toured the place you already now how clean it is and that there are countless showers and lockers to choose from. Equipment is kept clean and ready to use. I hardly see a broken piece of equipment. And if I have it doesn't stay broken for long. Not all gyms are great so if you thought this place doesn't have enough to offer I think I can gladly state that it does. So if you are thinking about joining please don't hesitate. It's worth it. I truly hope the members are not paying the same price as we do in Clinton. It feels like it was an old gym that OneLife came and bought. I went midday and it was not crowded. They have all of the machines you would need but about half of the machines look like they were from the 90s. I would come again but I think with many other gyms close by, I would think they need a bigger space and more updated equipment.

I pay way too much monthly to come into a one life gym that still has this style of equipment. Maybe because my home gym is for totten but this is ridiculous. I legitimately had to work out with a shirt over my nose and ended my workout early because I couldn't stand it anymore. The layout of the gym is always chaotic as hell. Yes there's a lot of machines, they are all old maybe 10% of what's in here is "new". Studio has no fans, neither does group studio. That makes no sense to me. Lockers are pretty nasty, lots of broken pieces on lockers and equipment, and the crowd meter lies! It is sooo small inside and as such was very packed even late at night. Mostly teenage boys just joking around hogging equipment, and there's only one machine for most stuff here. Only caveat is the staff were really nice and the Black Card amenities are functional, which is more than can be said for some locations. Overall though this is at the bottom of my list of PF locations in Loudoun County. It's also not 24/7 like all the other locations.

Despite the fact that I did not expect much due to my crazy schedule for school and work that only allowed me to work out three-four times a week, I started seeing results within two months of training with Dave! I can definitely see that my body has gotten more toned --I now have a flatter stomach. What is even better is the fact that I have become so much stronger, which I now believe is what fitness is all about. Dave has been extremely helpful adding some bodybuilding workouts to compliment my strength and condition training and the results are remarkable! His workouts are always challenging so I'm always feeling them days after, especially legs. In addition to effective training methods, Dave is also very book smart on the topic. He is able to articulate how each workout will benefit you and what part of the body is getting the benefit and all in a way that doesn't sound like a high school chemistry teacher is lecturing you. Dave is a genuine, fun, & effective trainer who not only talks the talk but walks the walk. If he's good enough to impress the Ultimate Warrior he's good enough to make you one as well. As for the gym itself, space is medium size, however, Dave is super nice and he knows how to use the space. Thus, I find that the space is usually well-managed and it is never really crowded.
