Job- clear a flower bed, place weed barrier and mulch. Add sod on outside area of said bed…read more ---Wow! Initially thought the job was great. 5 days later grass was growing through the mulch. Called Nelson and he said that they had ran out of the barrier cloth while doing the job and he went to the store to get more and his helper must have finished without putting the rest of the barrier on. No problem! (I had already paid him) He agreed to come and put more barrier down. He texted me and said he had came by and still no barrier on one whole end of the bed. I texted him and he said that that was all he was going to do. He was done. VERY UNHAPPY CUSTOMER. I am now moving the mulch and putting the barrier down myself. I wouldn't recommend them to an enemy.

I initially got estimates from 3 places before settling with Ken Lamb Tree Services, and my…read moreintuition told me not to go with him... but they were the cheapest, so I did it anyway. I needed several trees removed from my property, and I was told it would take two weeks. Unfortunately it ended up taking just over FOUR weeks! I never knew when the crew was going to show up for the day, which was actually a pretty big deal (not to mention a major inconvenience) because I have significantly moderate ptsd, and when people just randomly show up at my house/on my property, I can actually get wildly triggered. I had asked, very nicely, and explained in detail, why I was requesting, to be informed via call or text whenever the crew was on their way for the day, if wasn't going to be the same time every day. It wasn't, and they didn't. I'm also fairly certain that Ken, the owner, is a narcissist. I'm no psychiatrist, but every time I spoke with him over the 4 weeks of dealing with him, he refused to take ANY accountability, shifted ALL blame to literally anyone but himself, but then when the job was completed took all the credit, and whenever I took issue with something, he literally tried to gaslight me!!! Would absolutely NOT recommend! Never. Again!

There was very little room for error and the Mitchell Tree & Stump Service, Inc. did a fantastic job. I've used them several times before and they never let me down. Eugenio Cruz and his team showed up at 9 a.m. and were finished by 2 p.m., with an hour lunch break in between. They not only took down the 4 trees but also pruned another tree in the backyard, grounded up branch debris, hauled off numerous tree logs, and grinded the stumps into sawdust. They are very professional and highly recommended. Their phone number is 540-659-6519 or 540-993-1036 in the Stafford and Fredericksburg, VA area.

That makes it more challenging to split the wood. He said he would have expected the cuts to be straight. The second is the length of the pieces. You would expect the tree to be cut in to pieces that are around 20" or a multiple of that because 20" is about the length of firewood. Instead they seem to be about 30". Too short to cut in half and too long to split as is. So my husband is having to cut 10" or so off the end. I went with this company because I wanted to go with someone who had a quality reputation and they are local to my area. I am very disappointed. Would NOT recommend.
