would you like a great example of honesty? We ll here's one…read morefrom my experience with Longhorn Mac Repair. I brought my iPhone into them for the repair of a cracked screen. I had been quoted a price of $250. The higher price was because I requested the use of OEM parts. The gentleman at the shop took it and was giving it a thorough inspection. He asked me what I had been quoted and then said lI think I'm going to save you some money. He peeled of the glass protective cover. the screen wasn't broken, it was the protective cover! He put on a new one and charged me $5.00. A dishonest business could have easily told me to come back in an hour and charged me the original quoted price. I would have been none the wiser. Thank you Longhorn.

Atmosphere: Nothing flashy--just functional, which is exactly what you want when your laptop is on the fritz. Service: Friendly, efficient, and communicative. They're good about quoting before work starts and answering questions clearly (even after hours in some cases), and they'll tell you what can be done same-day vs. what needs parts. I spoke mostly with Patrick and he was very cordial and to the point. These guys know what they are doing, since most of them are former Apple specialists. Notes/Tips: Call ahead or request a quote online if you're on a tight schedule. Bring your charger if the issue seems power-related--it helps them test faster. (General best practice.) Definitely my top recommended for any Apple based repairs needed

Props to these guys for several reasons!…read more I cracked my iPhone screen and was looking at either paying over $300 for Apple to replace it, or just making an excuse to buy a new phone. Not crazy about either price, but def not crazy about the price of a new phone at over $1K. Who has that to just throw around, amiright?! So, knowing third party repair places can offer better deals, I checked these guys out, and here's where the reasons for the props come in: First, No appointment needed! Just come on in and they can get it done. So much less stress than wandering to an Apple Store after making an appointment online, waiting for an advisor...OMG, I'm getting so bored just writing that that I want to take a stress nap. Second, two repair options, and both are under $200!! Let's see... almost $400 or...less than $300...no brainer. Sure, it's not an "official" Apple repair, but, whatever...it's not like I have a new model phone still under warranty, and the screen seems just fine after I got it back and tapped my grubby fingers all over it to write this review. Third, repair time was UNDER AN HOUR!!! Try to get an oil change in that amount of time! With Apple I'd be looking at *hopefully* at best, same day. At worst...days later getting my phone back. I don't know about you, and I'm slightly ashamed to admit this, but my phone is like the third arm that I wasn't born with but eventually got, and so it goes everywhere with me. Almost. But it's greatly missed when it's not on me, and I feel like a kid lost in the woods--how can I navigate with my GPS?!?, I don't know what lunch places are around although I've lived here for 15 years!!!, how do I call my family?!? Their numbers are ON MY PHONE, not in my head!!! Ok, those were extending the truth a bit, but you get the idea and can relate. Moral of the story is that if your phone breaks, give these guys a try. They're definitely a good option to consider.

My device was uncommon (old 2DS) so there was some minor mistakes on reassembly, but it was easy to fix at home and only because my device is uncommon (lots of repair shops near me don't work on them!) Welp, I unscrewed all the visible screws on the bottom of the laptop but the base would not come off, so I pried it off.....which was a bad idea. Once I got it off, a few things naturally came loose, one piece even snapped in half, now I was in trouble. For all you HP users that don't know this, there are HIDDEN screws under the lower rubber piece. I tried to put everything back together but now my laptop wasn't reading the Boot Drive. Enter Star Electronics, I found them on google and they are literally half a mile from me. All the reviews about their service and prices are accurate! I was lucky enough to he helped by Ramazan, who told me he'd do his best to recover my Hard Drive for $80 (a brand new hard drive was only $40 more). My laptop is my life, and I was very nervous about a self inflicted fatal error. Thankfully Ramazan was able to recover my hard drive and got me my laptop back good as new in about 5 hours!! Highly recommend them for any electronic repair, their shop in the Lakeline Mall is really nice too! Thank you Star Electronics you saved the day!

I still can't believe it. Take care out there, y'all. For the first time in 28 years, I found myself alone at sea with a couple of tech issues that were increasingly problematic. Nerds in a Flash arrived late on a day that I was tightly scheduled and asked for considerably more than they had originally estimated (exactly the same job/problem I had described to them)... but redeemed themselves by cheerfully solving my problem and agreeing to the original estimate. Would I hire them again? You bet, but I recommend that you have them come in on a day that you have a flexible schedule, because your own time pressures are demonstrably unimportant to them.

I was pissed at myself for not checking this rookie mistake. James ran a check on my video card, searched for updated drivers, and ran a detailed check on my box for malware. Yes, even with Norton running, I had lots of malware. The flat rate of $125. was paid and James was on his way. He did explain everything he was doing so I wouldn't panic.

Right away I could tell that the screen was much lower quality than the original screen. The phone lights looked bluer and less clear. Then my phone started to glitch every night- I had to start putting it on do not disturb because the whole night it would be operating itself! Even so, I woke up one day and my phone was completely locked out and I had to erase my entire phone (not backup), because of this shady screen they installed!!! Now my right side of my screen won't work and I have to go to an authorized apple installer for a new screen to spend even more money!! As soon as he was done, my phone lost service and he suggested me to get a new SIM card stating mine wasn't good. I proved him a phone call I have had moments before and still didn't bother fixing it. I went to T-Mobile to get another SIM and went back to the gadget store 2 days later after noticing missing small bolts which made my volume button useless & Face ID also!! He never programmed my screen which needed to be done in order to get Face ID. He probably don't know how. I was already pissed for wasting my time so as soon as I got there I had my phone opened up to show him the details he had missed. He tried ignoring me so I took it in my own hands and started to look for the screws he "stole" from me.
