Tony and Modern Desert Roofing were the clear winners based upon - Expertise for our older roofs, quality of materials suggested and thoroughness of their inspections and detailed quotes to include: Secure and mechanically fasten any unsecured metal drip edge, flashings, t-tops, pipe jacks Clean, scrape and prep flat roof, powerwash as necessary to achieve maximum coating adhesion Repair any damaged, cracked, blistered areas using APOC #264 and polymembrane Three course seal all pipes, penetrations and any scuppers with APOC #264 and polymembrane throughout Seal roof to wall connections with APOC #264 and polymembrane Seal any metal drip edge and three course seal where split or lifted Seal all roofing material at parapet wall lap seams and corners Seal the base of any existing ductwork and HVAC curbs as necessary with APOC #264 No other companies mentioned or perhaps even included this level of work. Were they the cheapest? No, but they were competitive and you get what you pay for. Also of note, Tucson Rubberized Coating who makes the product most roofers use, has them listed as one of their top preferred vendor. Modern Desert Roofing has done about 10 homes in our community so far, with more scheduled to follow. We ALL give them 5-stars.

My home is almost 30 years old, so that wasn't a surprise. They will come back tomorrow to replace the skylight. Overall great customer service and an excellent work ethic. And Tony is bi-lingual. We did so after investigating several other local roofing companies. GreenGo's office responded promptly to our initial inquiry. The company's owner, Lance, came out soon after and conducted a meticulous roof inspection, providing us with a detailed assessment illustrated with captioned photos detailing its current state and a point-by-point proposal as to how GreenGo would address each aspect of our particular job. Lance also made a second visit where he went through the proposal in person with us, his crew's qualifications, the insurance his company carried, and the offered warranty. He also willingly provided us with prior job references. The job was completed by his crew over the course of five days, with site visits by Lance. This was followed by an owner walk-through and receipt of drone images of the completed work which included photos showing corrections to all items noted in the initial inspection. It was a pleasure to work with Lance, his experienced crew, and his office staff. Adjectives to describe the company: responsive, responsible, experienced, and professional. We were very pleased with the company, their innovative products, the job execution and the results. Lastly, they have the coolest truck wrap in town.

I had a small problem of peeling after the warranty ran out, but the company honored their commitment to doing a superior job and took care of the problem. Wonderful! I have some water damage on my kitchen ceiling that I wasn't sure where the source of…read morethe leak was coming from. I scheduled quotes with three roof companies. The first company said the damage was likely from a water line that came out on the roof. He suggested I contact a plumber for that issue but said I needed the penetrations resealed. I also had some fascia and woodwork on the sides of the house that needed painting. The quote was very reasonable but the guy was kind of a fast talker. AA Brite was the second company to come give an estimate. Derek arrived on time and took the time to find where the water line on the roof was connected. He found that it was to the old swamp cooler. He spent a good 30 minutes on the roof (the other guy was up there for maybe 5) and also found that my AC was blowing out of the old swamp cooler vent on the roof. He temporarily sealed it so that I wasn't cooling the whole neighborhood. He even came inside and looked at my HVAC lines to make sure the old swamp cooler was not still hooked up. This is all from a roofing company! I was given a quote to cap the old swamp cooler vent and seal the roof penetrations. It was a little more than the first quote and did not include the painting, but it was still very reasonable. I canceled the appointment with the third company because I was so happy with Derek's thoroughness, helpfulness, and explanation of everything. He really went above and beyond to help me. After about a week I was able to get the work scheduled. Chris arrived on time and did a great job. He took photos during and after the repair, which were shared with me. I can't say enough about what a good experience this has been.

Beware! Blue Mountain Roofing was very attentive - until I wrote that final check…read more I did my due diligence and got estimates from three roofing companies that had decent reviews. They all had the same shingle warranty and guarantee on their work and because Blue Mountain was slightly less expensive, I chose them. Unfortunately, I was going out of town the very day they completed my roof so I had only a cursory look at my new roof and the shingles were the right color and seemed to look OK. Upon returning home, I realized that the roof turbines were making a deafening racket when the wind picked up. I got up on my roof and realized that the turbines had been replaced very askew which of course meant they did not spin evenly if at all. While up on the roof, I also noticed that the electrical outlet box next to my cooler was just lying there not securely attached to the roof. Also, when they put the cooler back in place, the water sources were not tightened and in a matter of only a few weeks, I had calcification already built up on my new brown shingles. I called the gentleman I had dealt with from the beginning and left a short voicemail explaining that I had some concerns. That phone call was never returned. After a few days, I called again and actually spoke to the man who'd overseen my project. He assured me that someone would come out to take a look at the problems. That day and several more passed and no one showed up nor did I receive a phone call with an explanation. Almost five weeks passed along with more phone calls where I was assured they'd send someone out - and I was given specific days and times. Again nothing. I ended up giving up three days waiting on them. Eventually a guy I had never seen before did show up. He looked at the obviously crooked turbines and told me I needed new turbines and if I bought them, they'd put them on. Initially they wanted to use the old turbine bases so that they didn't have to lift up the newly installed shingles. That made no sense as it was the bases that were crooked. Knowing that the turbines had been up there quite a long time (without any problem I might add), I took them up on their "deal". I called to tell them that I had purchased the new turbines and was anxious to get the work done. Again nothing. Until I sent a text outlining the problems - not only with some of the hastily done work but with my disappointment regarding their lack of response to these problems. Amazingly enough, after almost five weeks, a couple of roofers showed up the very next morning. I was pleased to see them take away my old turbines with the old bases attached. I'm sorry they had to remove shingles and replace them but that would not have happened had the work been done properly from the get go. I asked that the new turbines not be painted as they had done the first time because I was buying brown turbines. Yes, the new turbines are up there though not parallel to the ground as they should be and it looks as though they've been painted. The original man who I contracted with showed up before that work was finished and told me that there was no way the electrical box could be reattached to the roof and that I'd need to hire an electrician to update the box. Huh?? But I quickly found someone to take a look at that box and in a matter of minutes, it was secured to the roof. And I was told that it's just an electrical outlet box and updating was completely unnecessary. The issue of the calcification was NOT addressed at all. Again, this whole complaint process took almost five weeks and I am not even happy with the outcome. However, I am so done with this company and will not call them for further repairs as I don't want to subject myself to anymore of their excuses or shoddy work. I'm not normally a negative review writer. I like to save my reviews for when I have something exceptional to say about a company I've done business with. But this was all so unacceptable - possibly because I'm a woman who put her faith in the supposed experts or because they knew they would not be getting any more money out of me even if the job was not up to par. If I sound angry, I am. Roofs aren't cheap. This has been a terrible experience and I would suggest you look at other roofing companies even if their estimates are a little higher. After all of this, I'm a bit skeptical about the quality of the actual roof job. I hope I don't have additional disappointments down the road. Thank you.
