I joined end of May and the staff has been nothing but kind. They're always very welcoming and ready to answer any questions. My daughter is enrolled in the Kid's Club and she loves it. This is her first daycare setting and at first she had some separation anxiety from me. Now that she's used to it, she runs into the gym and is so excited to go into the play area. The ladies at the Kid's Club are super attentive to the kids. Overall, this EoS location is 10/10 read more

Wow came in after a few months of not coming in due to it being very dirty and uncomfortable environment to work out in. And I think they have a new cleaning crew because it was nice and clean , new grass the bathrooms were mopped and the counters looked clean. I had a very disappointing and unprofessional experience with the manager CARLOS RIVERA at this EOS location.the way I was treated by management left a very negative impression. Instead of addressing my concerns respectfully, the manager came across as dismissive and unhelpful. when he was already in a bad mood there was no need to come up with the attitude when he is the manager. accusing me of a delinquent account when I have never stepped a foot at Eos before I was invited by my friend to the train with her after my experience I do not recommend this gym at all super packed considered joining my gym instead lifetime where staff is very polite and professional I value professionalism and good communication, and unfortunately, that was not demonstrated. I hope EOS will take this feedback seriously and work on improving management training and customer relations, because members deserve to feel respected and heard. read more

This is my full-time gym, which I use on a consistent basis. You get what you pay for and $9.99/month is great even if some in management aren't professional or there are cleaning issues. However, management does need to resolve and train some of those in personal training sales of how to treat the customer with respect and without using misogynistic terms. I won't name the assistant manager who was a bully and a jerk but behavior such as what I received needs to be called out and addressed. read more

To get a workout in it's just like any other place. Select locations are in need of maintenance and sometimes the locker rooms are in need of a deep cleaning. The rush hours are the same, to many people in the same place at once. Unless you're an early bird, most equipment will be in use. Overall I've not had bad experience, and recommend it if you just on trying to go in and work out. read more

I have to say that this location has deteriorated so much, the bathrooms are disgusting, during the busiest time which it's the afternoon, no one cleans, no one picks up or refills anything! This is the closest EOS location to my house but I would never want to go back to this location. I had to go home the first time because the parking lot was so packed. Imagine the inside probably was packed too. The second time was recently. I booked a class on Sunday just so I can have some fun. When I booked the class, the limit for the class was around 23 spots. There is a reason why there's spot limit, but it probably doesn't really matter at this location. Class supposed to start at 10:30 am. Arrived at 10:25am. The whole studio was packed with people. Probably at least 40 or more people in there and there were still people keep coming in. How could you have so many people in that room? Class was scheduled to start at 10:30 am, but at 10:50 am, class still hadn't started yet. Then the instructor started speaking in Spanish. I decided to walked out the class a minute the class started. I wasted almost half an hour in there for nothing. Tried to work out, but all the equipments I toughed are so loose or half broken. If you want to have fun or have a peaceful mind when working out, try to avoid this location. read more

Really great gym for the most part, really nice people work there. The staff here are absolutely wonderful, got really nice equipment (i must say i wish they would've added some 150 pound dumbbells to the "new" area but oh well. (Also new is in quotes cuz its been out a good couple months now.) this gym has 18 squat racks, 4 flat barbell benches, 2 incline, 1 decline and a seated OHP. Theres also 2 turf area's, two free bench area's, got an outside area that has 2 of those squat racks, as well as two deadlift platforms with bumper plates (which the majority of the squat rack with deadlift platforms except for four of em, seem custom made for eos as they got the logo on there and everything looking all shiny, with there being a deadlift platform connected.) lotta nice bumper plates there too, one problem i do have is, finding a pair of 2.5 pound plates is like finding a pot o'gold. The gym absolutely could/really need a good bit more of those, and some 1.25's would be nice too.. but i ain't complaining for that one. Loop bands as well would be nice to have, you can get some really weak ones from the front.. but thats bout it. Some strongman equipment like an atlas stone would also be cool to have as the gym already has two turf area's and an outside area so it'd make sense to have. (Which for those turf's they also have a sled to use as well.) for machines theres a pretty good amount, more than enough cable machines, its got 7 of the v shaped ones with two stacks, and 2 (depending how ya count em.) of those just straight ones with the lat pulldowns, two empty cable stacks, and the cable row with a cable low to high fly set up at the end to the right. Got 3 calf variants, got I believe 4 back extensions, 4 preacher curl stands (2 preacher machines, one stack and one plate loaded) nice set up of hammerstrength plate loaded machines. Also got a good bit of kettlebells (in my opinion they're a lil too light though maxxing out round 80 or 90. Light weight!) Also back onto dumbbells. They go up by 2.5 increments UNTIL ya hit 30, then its all 5's which slightly sucks cuz i know theres 32.5's and 37.5's out there in the world. Theres cardio machines galore with there being A WHOLE MOVIE THEATER, with cardio machines playing new films and old alike, so hey, that's awesome! Theres also two punching bags, for the boxer bro's to have fun with. There is also a pool and sauna to the right of the front desk. You get in there via your genders locker room, so far my only complaints as someone whose been going for almost 2 years now, is the gym is often very busy, i did mention there were a lotta benches but.. theres also sadly a lotta people. Lotta nice people. But a lotta sometimes slow people which it is what it is, but just gonna let you know. Night time is surprisingly horrifying. I've gone twice so far around 10, on a Monday and Friday. Very busy. So I'd recommend if possible coming in the morning or early afternoon is best. read more

I've been going to EOS for over 5 years at locations around the valley. This gym has been totally fine until they switched managers. I'm not sure who's responsible for how often the gym is cleaned but i would assume the manager is supposed to be. This gym is so dirty and gross. Not only the equipment but the women's bathroom is disgusting. The toilets, showers, sinks, and mirrors are ALWAYS dirty. There was pee on the floor the other day. Maybe don't worry about hiring so many sales representatives and more people to clean??? Or get the girls who work there to put on some gloves and wipe that place down. It's seriously not that hard. I noticed that the gym at thunderbird also turned to crap and far more disgusting once Ana became the manager and now she's screwing up the Encanto location. The pricing and kids care is not worth how gross the gym is. I'll be switching. read more

Dirty, weights and trash EVERYWHERE, long waits to use equipment, what should take 30-40 min workout takes 2 -3 hours of how people just hanging out chi-chatting holding equipment, selfies are being taken in locker rooms while others are getting dressed/undressed, management doesn't follow the safety guidelines himself, so don't really do much to enforce them! I think these guys put a real lot of effort into keeping this gym up. It is probably one of the busiest locations which makes it hard. I have asked the manager, Leo, about things and he goes out of his way to get things taken care of as soon as possible. Whenever there are issues with equipment he wants to know about it so he can get things addressed. That aim at keeping the bathrooms clean makes a difference compared to other places I have been in Phoenix. I hope they keep it up. I am glad that I switched to this gym. read more

Joined last Fall and when I first went here in October I would give this gym a SOLID five stars! Couldn't be more pleased. Took a break over the Holidays and our weather was so nice I ended up exercising outside and next thing I know three months had passed. When I started going again this spring, I noticed it was WAY more crowded, and it's nearly impossible to find parking in the evening. Not usually a huge issue for me because I have "odd" hours and can work out during the day but for sure something to consider if you are strictly an "after work" gym person. You will for sure have parking issues here at least until they open more locations - it says a new one is being built at 83rd and Camelback and I'm hoping that might ease congestion when that happens. Until then, parking is a total mess after 5 pm. Also when I first started going, there was this lovely middle aged Hispanic woman who was always cleaning. I'm sorry I didn't take note of her name because I meant to mention her to the management because she was such a dedicated worker and did a great job. Originally she had a shirt from some outside company - she was not an EOS employee but she was always working really hard to keep the place spotless. I haven't witnessed as much cleaning staff more recently. This baffles me because the gym is literally twice as busy as it was six months ago. It's much harder to keep it clean with it being packed like it is now. It's not bad at this point, the gym is still very shiny and new, but I can see it could really start to slide if they don't stay vigilant. So I'm giving a shout out to management to bump up the cleaning staff hours if they can, and please try and address the parking issue. Overall the gym is working great for me, it is for sure a better feeling than the LA Fitness down the road. I was a member of that gym years ago and the crowd at EOS seems more focused overall. At LA Fitness, I ran into people making out in the pool, for example. Super awkward, lol. Since I can go during the day and avoid the parking snafu, I'm pleased overall. If you can go during "off peak" hours for sure check this place out. read more

I will recommend this gym to anyone and really think the people that give it a 1 star review are probably on the over weight side just saying. This place is a terrible gym, and a terrible business. I went there once, after signing up on line. It was extremely crowded, and I was threatened by a young thug. I informed staff that I was threatened. They just laughed and told me " some people get fired up when working out ". I explained that I wanted nothing more than the "free day " offered, and that I was not interested a membership. So, I never went back and instead joined Planet Fitness. Much better place by far. Well, two days ago I was charged the yearly fee, and one month of membership. Totaling $76.99. When I called to complain, I was told "that's the way it works ". Also, the website shows equipment that is not at at the gym. It's all a scam to get your hard earned money. BEWARE!!! NEVER trust EŌS!!! The whole experience has been terrible. Go to Planet Fitness. Everything about it is amazing. Pleasant staff, better equipment, and never overcrowded. read more

My family and I were anticipating for this to open, we actually waited a couple weeks before actually going because it was so packed. It is very nice inside. A lot of variety of machines which is cool, restrooms are big and nice. The sauna is very small, and it gets pretty full in there very fast which sucks. I haven't attended any of the classes yet, or the theater room either. I will agree with a previous yelp about stuff laying around and things not appearing to be cleaned at all, I have seen trash and empty bottles as well. They do have a lot of employees on hand so you would think they would make their rounds to pick up but I haven't seen that. All in all I am happy this is not to far from my home and I'm enjoying it. It does get packed and I'm hoping it will ease down a bit after the newness dies down. read more
