If there is a heaven there will be food like this! We were on the road and stopped in for Tiger hour(5-6pm) which turned out to be a great deal. I had sake served in a beautiful ceramic cup and carafe and my husband enjoyed a local IPA. We ordered from the tiger hour menu- papaya salad, wings, sticky bun with pork belly and pickled cucumbers, chicken dumplings- all outstanding. Awesome experience for 2. Perfect amount of food, decently priced, and delicious. I would have given it 5 stars, but I don't like how the food is served. It comes out as it's prepared. Meaning, if you have 6 people and everyone orders something different, the meals will come out one at a time. This is the only restaurant that I've eaten at in Yakima that I was actually excited when I left. Everything was well cooked, well seasoned, and was beautifully presented. Great service and cool atmosphere. Very impressive happy hour. Papaya salad is highly recommended. Pork buns are tasty and would order again. Dumplings just ok. The stone bowl rice had something off putting in the taste. Could not pinpoint it but my other half thought it mabe something that stays in the stone bowl after cleaning possibly?? Chicken wing appetizers looked absolutely wonderful but were beyond the sweet factor for us so would not order again. Overall experience was very good and would have gotten more stars if the food would have delivered like in previous reviews but we are tough critics that do alot of our own cooking and experimenting with food so for 5 stars we're going to have to be blown away. Hard to find good restaurants in Yakima, but this place is moving into an amazing treat! Scenery is as beautiful as any quality restaurant in Seattle, and staff are very pleasant. Got a free appetizer on house for no particular reason, and their steak soba noodle is delicious. read more

Good food, nice space, but the service in the open kitchen/bar was inconsistent. I was ignored for the first 10 minutes after I was seated. I had to request water and that someone take my order. The bro calling the kitchen orders to the chef was making snarky comments to other staff about incoming guests -unbelievable! He was obviously making the other staff uncomfortable and was disappointingly unprofessional, particularly as it's obvious that a lot was invested in developing the menu and space. I don't usually call out restaurant staff but that guy was so terrible! read more

Our first time to visit EZ Tiger. Devin was our server and was pleasant, friendly, knowledgeable, and definitely made our visit more enjoyable. We ordered the fried rice bowl and shrimp and pork dumplings. They both had great flavor however if they had 50% less salt the sodium level would still be sufficient. We ran into friends who loved their food but said the same thing about the amount of sodium. We will definitely be back to try other items on the menu. read more

Friendly staff, nice decor, good mixed drinks, but weird food. It is definitely a fusion restaurant and not any one kind of Asian food. Not really what I would call, as another reviewer did: "the din tai fung of Yakima." The menu has 'Beijing dumplings' which tasted very sweet, not really what I was expecting. Kind of had the flavor profile of a spicy wonton but with teriyaki or hoisin sauce. The peanut noodles were also just a little off for me. Like the sauce for bang bang chicken but without the spiciness. This is a take on Asian food from another culture, so differences are to be expected. It just seems like all the changes made to traditional dishes made them worse in this case. I would skip this place. read more

First off the food was incredible. We had the pad Thai and beef and rice dish! We also got cocktails but they took a while to get to us. We showed up at 3 and were literally the only customers. The staff was friendly but very slow. We would have gotten refills if they had been offered. Not sure if this is normal for this time but we were disappointed in the service. Went here for a friend get together, there were five of us. The food was great, the peanut noodles and the pork belly steamed buns were probably the best dishes we had. Both of the servers and the busser we had kept hovering over us, I'm not sure if they wanted to rush us out or just wanted to make sure we were being helped but it was a little awkward. There were other people still in the restaurant and it was not near closing time. I would be willing to give it another try because I know they're a new business but my first experience was a little iffy. read more

This is one of Yakima's most versatile restaurants. I've come here for everything from a casual summertime lunch to a celebratory dinner. The menu features both Chinese and Thai options. The menu includes a few buns and wontons to chose from (one is even vegetarian). I usually order the green papaya salad (spicy, savory, tart and fresh) or the fried rice (mixed in a hot stone bowl at the table). I'm glad this restaurant is in Yakima. They need something different and something a little bit hipster. They have one incredible foodie restaurant already (Crafted) and the sister restaurant to this place is better than decent, especially for families. It's kind of a Red Robin on steroids. But they could use something like this, too. I have to admit, the name puts me off but, I was in town so I decided to visit. I agree with a couple of the other criticisms: the food is often over sweet or over salted. Sadly, they have a ways to go before they really make a mark with the food. I went home after eating flank steak and drank a gallon of water. Plus, I can make a better flank steak. Other than that, everything was very close to being excellent. The dumplings were tasty. As was the pork bun. They just need to tweak a few things. I'll come back and update this review after another visit. read more

My friend and I entered the establishment, got some luke warm water and a menu about 15 minutes afterwards. Ordered, watched people that came in an ordered after us get served . . . . not sure why we waited for over an hour before leaving? WOOHOO! Easily and truly one of my favorite restaurants in Yakima! First of all, TOP OF THE LINE HAPPY HOUR! Great beer deals, great wine deals, great food deals! (And always consistently great service, regardless of happy hour!) Also, the drinks at this establishment are divine! A personal favorite is the EZ Tiger Mai Tai! Additionally, the Jiro & the St Anjou are delightful! Keep in mind, their mocktails do not disappoint either! As far as food goes, I always thoroughly enjoy the Szechuan Vegetable Dumplings, the Spicy Peanut Noodles, the Gunpowder Chicken, and the Mango Sticky Rice for dessert. However, the most outstanding, impressive, unbeatable element of the EZ Tiger experience is being served by Devin. She is, without a doubt, the most attentive, kind, hilarious, silly, intuitive server I have ever encountered. 20/10 would recommend! Amazing service, the soba noodles were INCREDIBLE. The appetizers were all fantastic: we had the bean sprout salad, the poke, and the vegetable dumplings which were all phenomenal. The coffee cake for dessert was heavenly as well, true decadence. read more

Is the food good or bad . . . I couldn't tell you. Strangest experience EVER at an eatery. My friend and I popped in for lunch. The host was friendly - do you want the kitchen (which is a sit and watch the chefs area) or dining? We should have said whichever is fastest but we didn't know. There were two diners in the kitchen and less than a dozen in the dining room so we chose dining. The decor is really simple. Menu is a combo of tai / Asian cuisine. After waiting 15 minutes the gal finally came over and poured some room temperature water. Asked if we needed more time - my friend wanted more time but it had been 15 minutes so I ordered. My friend ordered the gal said you don't want that you want this (the dumplings) my friend agreed so with our order in we waited. And we waited . . . and we waited . . . My friend was getting frustrated and started complaining about the chefs - there were four of them she was watching them giving me a run down on how slow they were, how they kept leaving the kitchen. Fourty minutes after we arrived another gentleman entered the dining area. Ten minutes later he had his food, which again my friend noticed. Fifty minutes after arriving we left because that gave us five minutes to get back to work. We never did get any food, I give it a one start because at least I got some room temperature water in a fancy jar . . . bottom line I won't ever go back and I wouldn't recommend the place to anyone else - I sure hope the employees enjoyed my noodle dish. Maybe that was their plan after all, if we wait long enough we can eat her food and tell the boss and owner that she ditched her meal . . . read more
