We ordered the pork chow mein. When we got home to eat it, it had so much onion in it we couldn't eat it. We don't plan to visit ever again!! Not to mention COVID is OVER!!! Open the doors for customers can go in and eat, then we could have sent it back!! They tend to be greedy and only offer take out. First of all, let me tell you that Yakima DOES not have many options for Chinese food (good food) at least. Panda Express does not count lol, and Kyoto doesn't either. This restaurant was formally known as Ding Ho off of Washington along time ago, was one of the few places that really reminded me of California Chinese food. Unfortunately, there is no dining in (I don't know why) so it is only take out but hey! It's better! Wait time is not bad roughly around 15 min tops for some really hot food so service is outstanding ! My go to is ALWAYS Beef Broccoli and pork fried rice. Very good taste with the veggies being fresh while the smell of the seasonings and soy sauce.... Mmmmm! Can't get enough!. I was surprised that this restaurant is still only set up for take out. No worries though, as I was planning on take out anyway. A 2nd restaurant in Terrace Hts would be awesome so I could try more items on the menu. I ordered the #8 dinner because it had sweet & sour prawns I was craving and no boring fried rice. I subbed the chicken lo mein with chow mein. I enjoyed how bright and crunchy the chow mein was - I had the pork and the meat is crumbles. The prawns were good, as was the almond chicken. I liked that the chicken was cut into bite sized pieces rather than one big piece. The egg roll was very tasty, but oily and it was soggy when I reheated it. I also ordered the crab wontons and they were DEE-licious. The portions are generous and made for two dinners for me. The staff I had contact with were friendly and welcoming. I carry an insulated bag in the car and slipped my order inside of it so that the food was still piping hot once I got home. read more

We liked our food very much. But several things have brought down my rating. The orange chicken and general's chicken and chicken lo mein were great. Some of the best I've had in this town. The fried rice was good, but didn't have anything in it. The main reason my review isn't higher is this: the menu said the entrees came with fried rice. One small box was included in our order. We ordered two of the entrees listed with fried rice. The price was $50 for the three items we ordered. That feels really high to not have more sides included. Two of the styrofoam containers our food came in had melted holes in them. That's kind of scary health-wise. I would have preferred Chinese takeout containers. And the last thing that brings down the review a little is that I want to eat inside the restaurant. It's been long enough. It's time to open the dining room. We will try more food here. Get the egg rolls. My 91 year old mother-in-law expressed that it is the best she has ever had. In 91 years!Our entire meal was fantastic! The staff is super friendly and everything was packaged to keep it hot and crisp, sauces in a separate container. I ordered to go & the food was ready within 10/15min. It looked like they were not comfortable seating people inside yet but honestly, being pregnant & shopping with 2 toddlers- I would rather eat at home anyways Delicious orange chicken that didn't taste sweet and artificial like Panda Express. The serving size was on the smaller wide but it was a $12-something lunch special item so that made sense. Almond chicken was yummy as well. The flavor felt fresh with a gravy like texture. I prefer the orange chicken over the almond chicken after having both but would happily eat either of then. Chicken chow main is my favorite, most places serve it watery but this plate was thicker and more saucy. I prefer the chicken to be a lot smaller but I'll just try the pork chow main next time. The green veggies didn't have any particular overpowering taste- some places taste more oniony or super celery like- this plate is as very well balanced with crunchy noodle things on the bottom. Super tasty!!! The rice was plain- I liked that. It wasn't salty, hard or flavorless like Panda Express. If you're not a fan of that fake food like me then you will love this place tbh. & If you ever had Lotus in Toppenish before it closed down (RIP) this food is similar- not the same bc Betty was seriously amazing and her cooks made the best thick and crunchy chicken plates- but this is a whole lot closer than anything else I have found in the area in the past 5 years. We ordered combo #10 & #11. My wife and I shared the #10 and our daughter had the #11. Typically not a fan of the celery type chow mein, but my wife ordered it. It was really tasty. The quality of the food was good and not overly loaded with the sauces. The fried rice could use a little some more flavor, but still complimented the sweet & sour chicken and almond chicken well. The service was good, we had a 30 minute wait time, which is fine as long as the food was good. I'd rather wait and know I'm getting freshly made food than fast and know it's be precooked. Went there to pick up our to go order after being told it would be 45 minutes. After 35 more minutes of waiting at the parking lot we finally got our order. Upon getting home we discovered that the number 12 combination was not as ordered. We got some weird pork wontons in place of sweet and sour shrimp. I talked to one patron at the restaurant that was told when he called at 4:00 it would be an hour and a half . At 6:30 he was still waiting for his food. Please check your orders before leaving and call in hours before you want to pick up your food. Next time I will go to Manado Buffet. They really need numbered signs and more parking. read more

I ordered the Phad Thai, orange chicken, wonton soup, and the crunchy noodle chow mein. ALL the necessary flavors are there except for a couple small details that would've been game changers. The phad thai lacked green finishing ingredients like green onion, cilantro, and a lime wedge. I would've preferred steamed rice to fried rice. We ordered the orange chicken "spicy" and it was delicious! I should've ordered the larger wonton soup because it was that good and I ran out of it. I was not sure about the crunchy noodles for the chow mein because I prefer "Hong Kong" style and these were like what you'd get for school lunch. Was good I ordered combination #7 With Chow mein, sweet and sour shrimp, almond chicken and fried rice. They were polite and brought out food to car. The serving size was small compared to other Chinese restaurants in the area. Food was good only three shrimp though and the almond chicken tasted good but tasted more like chicken gravy than almond gravy. I'll probably be back since it is closer than my favorite Chinese restaurant and it is better than the other west side Chinese restaurant. Tasty Wok is the updated version of my family's favorite Chinese restaurant. I introduced my wife to it when she was pregnant with my firstborn. We ate there regularly durinf the pregnancies following. Now it is the one restaurant that I can guarantee all of my children will eat without any persuasion. It is excellent food and reasonably priced. Owned by a wonderfully friendly family. They opened their new location right at the onset of this closure nonsense. They are doing the best they can, all things considered. Please give them a shot if you have never had their food. The sesame chicken is something that I could eat every day without complaint.
