I really appreciate the direct accountability and quick resolution. I'm leaving my original review below for transparency, but their prompt response today restored my confidence in their management. I originally had a positive experience with California Solar Electric during my 10.12 kW solar and Powerwall 3 installation last year. Unfortunately, their post-install customer support and business ethics are nonexistent. I referred a friend who completed their installation months ago. I was explicitly promised a $500 referral bonus for this. After months of waiting, I tried following up multiple times privately to give them a chance to make it right, but I am now being completely ignored. It's a shame because I have several neighbors here in Fountain Valley who are currently shopping around for solar and battery storage. I was planning to refer them here, but I cannot recommend a company that fails to honor its own written agreements and ducks communication. Buyer beware: the installation team does good work, but do not trust a word management says about referral incentives or post-sale promises. Still waiting for my $500.

From the very first consultation to the final panel installation, the team was professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely excited to help us make the switch to solar. It's rare these days to find a company that treats your home like it's their own -- careful, respectful, and detail-oriented every step of the way. They walked us through the process with patience, answered all our "what-if" questions without rushing us, and handled all the permits and paperwork like absolute pros (which honestly felt like magic to me). Installation day went off without a hitch -- the crew showed up on time, worked efficiently, and left everything spotless. Since turning the system on, we've been watching our electric meter spin backwards like a magic trick we actually understand -- and our first bill post-installation was a beautiful thing to behold. I reached out to Mark since he installed my solar system and had the pleasure of working with him again for a complete roof replacement on my home. I am extremely thrilled with the results once again and can't wait to reinstall my solar. From the initial consultation to the final inspection, the team demonstrated exceptional professionalism, was always available to answer my questions, and provided clear explanations about the process, materials, and timeline. The craftsmanship displayed by the roofing crew was top-notch. They arrived on time each day, worked diligently, and paid great attention to detail. The quality of the materials used was excellent, and the final result is a beautiful, durable roof that has significantly enhanced the appearance and value of my home. Their commitment to customer satisfaction is commendable; when I had a minor concern about one section of the flashing, they promptly addressed it without hesitation. Despite some recent negative reviews, my experience with Mark's team was overwhelmingly positive. It's important to recognize that not every company is perfect, and there can be occasional issues that arise due to the inherent hurdles of operating a business. These negative reviews may be isolated incidents and not reflective of the overall quality and service provided. The value provided by their combination of high-quality materials, skilled labor, and excellent customer service justifies the investment at a reasonable cost. If you are considering them for your roofing needs, I encourage you to reach out and discuss any concerns directly with Mark. I've asked about the "no replies" and it appears the company was going through significant changes, so Mark alone has been handling most admin and fieldwork to the best of his ability. I highly recommend Mark for anyone in need of roofing work and solar needs!
