From the car on the flatbed, placing of the red bow on the hood, their representative holding my 6 month old (lol), my 7 year old "driving" the new car, several of my husband and our 2 boys standing with the car etc...they uploaded all our pics into a Dropbox account and sent them to us! A week or so after we get a coffee mug with a picture of my husband and two boys printed on it and a couple days after that a magnetic calendar with some more pics!! You can tell by the selection available that they carefully acquire these vehicles and they do quite a lot to them before they put them up for sale. I spoke to Eddie on the phone before stopping by and he assured me that the VW was still available. When we arrived, the car was pulled right up front with the key in it ready for us to inspect. The pictures of the vehicle on their website were accurate, the car presented exactly as photographed. We were both very impressed. Eddie was working with another customer at that moment when he took a minute out to introduce himself and to let us know that he had put a plate on the car and we could take it for a test drive while he was working with the other person. We took it out for a test drive and I was so impressed with the condition of this vehicle. Obviously the previous owner(s) had taken care of it because the interior is like brand new. Once we had inspected the car and test drove we discussed a couple of minor issues that we ran across with Eddie. He immediately said he would take the car to his mechanic to have those items addressed. Eddie contacted me the following day to let me know that the repairs have been made and we came back for another test drive and all was well. Eddie really went out of his way to make sure that everything was in good working order before we left with the car. BUYERS BEWARE!! I purchased a vehicle from Exceed Auto Brokers Inc. in Lighthouse Point,FL. It was…read moreadvertised through Facebook Market Place as "In very good running condition, ready to go". Before purchasing the vehicle, I inspected it with the assistance of Marcelo. I identified two issues that I accepted before completing the purchase, I was told the car was in very good condition. During my test drive, NO warning lights were illuminated on the dashboard, and I relied on those representations when deciding to purchase the vehicle. It is extremely concerning that the vehicle showed no warning lights during the dealer's presentation and test drive, yet numerous fault codes and serious problems appeared only approximately two days later indicating numerous mechanical problems that subsequently appeared and a diagnostic examination revealed numerous costly mechanical problems. I have already spent approximately $5,400 and the vehicle still requires additional repairs. This raises a legitimate concern that the diagnostic fault codes may have been cleared before the vehicle was shown to me, temporarily preventing the warning lights from appearing. There was also a serious and potentially life-threatening braking failure. While driving on a busy roadway, I applied the brakes and the brake pedal went to the floor, causing me to lose control and nearly have an accident. One more time, the estimated cost for this repair alone exceeded $3,400.00. My mechanic subsequently diagnosed the braking system as defective and advised that they be replaced immediately and that I do not drive the vehicle for my safety. I notified Exceed Auto Brokers, The dealer refused to pay for the replacement and instead stated that a refurbished part had been installed. I repeatedly requested documentation proving that this repair was actually performed, including an invoice, work order, or part information?. The dealer never provided proof and stopped responding to my calls. This leaves me with a serious unresolved safety concern. Absolutely nothing in this car I bought from this business works, not even the key to start this car. I even had to replace it after a week because it died flat! really?. It is a good business for them to buy a car in auction for nothing and resale it to you without performing ANY inspection, correction or repair whatsoever.
