But this lady is just taking advantage i no to do measurements if they charge its 10-15 dollors she took my measurements and started to add on to the measurements even though i didnt ask her to she told me its 30 dollors i told her if can she lower it to 25 nicely she got offended n snached the paper and told me to go somewhere else if i dont like it i was soo shocked how she was acting it was so childish i paid and left its another thing to tip someone when they are being kind but she was rude and took advantage i called another place just to see if i said something insulting or something about lowering the price they told me they do that service for free i called her back just to tell her that she took advantage she blocked my number cause she knows she took advantage . I called ahead on Wednesday and asked if I could come in the next day to have a dress resized in time to wear it that Sunday. I was told fine, no problem. When I arrived, the story immediately shifted, "You want a dress for Sunday, we are not open Saturday or Sunday, so really you want a 24-hour service. I doubt you want to pay for that." I was stunned. I honestly felt profiled. I am a college professor who can afford to get dress altered - even with short notice. I asked to proceed with the fitting - because I really wanted to wear that dress. After I tried it on, the seamstress kept insisting I shouldn't get it altered because it's fashionable to wear oversized dresses. I kept insisting I didn't like the fit. We went back and forth several times. Again, I was shocked...why was I almost begging to get my dress resized? It didn't matter what she considered fashionable, it mattered that I wanted my dress altered. Finally, the seamstress agreed to take it in, so she pinned the sleeves. Then I went into the dressing room and put my original clothes back on. When I came out, she immediately took the pins out dress (which meant she had NO INTENTION OF FIXING IT) then said, "You need this done by tomorrow, I would charge you $50 for that. You don't want to do that." And just like that I realized I was being refused service. $50 to alter the sleeves on a $35 dress, and even if I was okay spending the $50, she had already removed the pins so I would have had to put it back on for a second fitting. I felt shocked, embarrassed, and profiled. I will continue to search for an alteration service in town. read more

I took two dresses here to be altered on a Monday, and they were ready on a Thursday. This wasn't just a hem, either, I needed the sleeves/shoulders taken in on one dress, and the hips on a mermaid style dress taken in on the other. I reached out via email first, and Eddie replied within 12 hours on a weekend, giving me a quote, and confirming their business hours and location. Iris is just lovely to deal with-- she explained everything that she felt was necessary, how she would approach the tasks, and when she she would have the dresses ready. They were ready a day early, and I received a text letting me know that I could pick them up! Their prices are fair, and the work is impeccable. These dresses now fit me beautifully, and I can't wait to wear them. I am thrilled to have a conveniently located place to bring alterations moving forward. read more

Iris did a wonderful job altering my wedding gown - and she's the sweetest! We came in with some preconceived - and uneducated - notions of how we wanted the gown altered, but she steered us in the right direction, explaining why she thought this was a good idea, why that would be risky, etc. She also told us where we could go to get the cup inserts and was ridiculously patient while my mom rushed out to buy them so she could pin them while I had the dress on.
