Bought a new suit and took the pants there to be altered. Needed to hem the pants and take up the waist. Picked them up the next day. The waist was fine but the pant legs weren't even. One was short. Took them back the next day and they were very sorry and fixed them for me . They were ready to pickup the next morning. The price was very reasonable and the people are very nice. I've had everything under the sun done here - jeans, bathing suits, sequin cocktail dresses, bridesmaid dresses, ballgowns, pillow cases, curtains... I recommend bringing whatever shoes or bra/shape wear you intend to wear if it's a special occasion outfit, or a belt if you're a gent getting slacks or a suit done. They have some various heel heights you can borrow, but I like taking my own. These folks know what they are doing! They are fast, reasonable and once finished you would swear it was custom made just for you off the rack. I have never in my history of business with them had an issue or complaint. I have used them a couple of times but the last time I used them was 3 years ago they altered a dress and it was canary yellow. They got blood on my dress, and I took pictures of it. I have not worn the dress it was brand new when I took it to them to show the blood and they use some kind of stain remover to get it out I just never warded address because it didn't look the same and it was brand new with the tags on it. This past weekend I took two brand new dresses that I had bought from Dillards in April but I have lost weight and I need to have the dresses altered. I specifically asked for my address not to be cut or the hem shortened one of the dresses that they taken in on the sides, they cut the dress, and the hemline when they altered t. Nothing I can do about dresses because they were brand new & tags were still on them. The one dress that had to be fully altered. I tried it on because of the intensity of the alterations. The side of the bottom of the hem was loose. They had not sewn it back and again I asked for dresses not to be cut because I may have to go back and have them back out if I regain the weight they do not listen to your instructions, so be aware when you leave you items & try/inspect item when you trust them to provide you a service read more

Shame on you if you fool me once, shame on me if you fool me twice.. As the saying goes, the last time I went here (~year ago), they hemmed my dress, but didn't hem the slip! Thankfully, I tried it on before leaving and caught the mistake. I waited for them to fix it because I needed the dress for an event that night and had given them 7 days to do a simple hem. Then, recently (this year), I took in 3 dresses (needed hemming & one needed to be taken in slightly) and a pair of jeans to be hemmed. The total? $250!!! These were simple day dresses from Amazon and pair of jeans from Loft. I didn't spend $250 to purchase the items to begin with!! I argued with the woman that I'd had dresses hemmed by them before for $15 (and they did a terrible job at that price!). The kicker, if you can believe it, was they also add an illegal charge on your order if you use a debit or credit card to pay with--"3% surcharge". Take your clothes, money, and time elsewhere, because this place has gotten too greedy for their britches. read more

If you need pants hemmed I definitely recommend Spring Tailor, I haven't tried any other services yet. The convenience of their hours is a great perk, they are open the same hours as the mall. So you can go in late after work to get your pants or swing by on a Sunday. I dropped my pants off on a Sunday and everyone and their mothers were waiting to drop stuff off at Spring Tailors. If you do go in on a Sunday I recommend going earlier or late in the day avoid the late lunch crowd. It was $9 to get my pants hemmed, I dropped them off on Sunday and they were ready on Tuesday. I heard quite a few people request next day alterations and they seemed to be able to accommodate without a problem. I will be back! read more

I dropped off a prom dress to have the split in the leg hemmed so as not to be so high. The dress had detachable staps. We picked up the dress and as soon as we got it home we realized the straps were now missing. I immediately called back out to the store and was told to bring the dress back in. I did so 2 days later. When I took it back I was told they don't have the straps and denied that they removed the straps. I told them there were 3 witnesses that the straps were there when we left it. They made no effort to remedy the situation and then totally ignored me and refused to talk to me about it further. Use this place at your own risk. They take no responsibility fir their mistakes and are untrustworthy! UPDATE-- After I left there and left this review they called me and said they had found the straps and I could come get them. NO APOLOGIES after basically calling me a liar in front of other customers and turning their back and ignoring me!!! Spring Tailor definitely gets the job done when it comes to alterations. They did the one for my wife's dress when she was to be a bride's maid and they did it wonderfully. It was pretty interesting since I got to speak to them a little bit about where they were from (Shanghai) and we happened to have some mutual friends that we didn't know about. The price is excellent and they're right on time (if you ask for it to be done the next day, they'll probably do it without any issue). Let me tell you about this suit I own. I paid a hefty sum of money for this suit six years and sixty pounds ago. At the time, the job I had didn't require me to wear a suit, so I only had the one for special occasions. Fast forward to now. I recently tried to put the suit on, and let's just say that when it pulled the pants up, the waist at no point actually made physical contact with my body. I no longer had the girth for the pants to in any way stay up, and the jacket may as well have been a straitjacket for as far around my body as I was able to wrap it. But in spite of all that, I really like the suit (even though it's one of about ten that I own these days), and like I said, I dropped a good chunk of change on it, so I didn't really want to just get rid of it, even if I am 76% of the man I used to be. So, while at the Jos.A.Bank store at the Thruway Center looking at tuxedos for my wedding, I asked if they had a recommendation for a tailor for a suit that wasn't theirs, and they sent me to Spring Tailor. I headed over there on a Tuesday afternoon, and was pointed to a fitting room to put the suit on. I came back out, and the older woman who works there pulled me over in front of a mirror and went to work with a measuring tape and pins. Five minutes later, I was back in my street clothes, and as she was writing up my ticket, she asked, "When do you need it back?" I was in no hurry, so I said, "Whenever it's done." "Okay, tomorrow this time," she replied. TOMORROW? Come on now. I recently had a Jos.A.Bank suit tailored at the aforementioned Thruway store, and it was a two week turnaround time. So TOMORROW?! Well, anyway, Wednesday, I went back to the store with the ticket - and sure enough, the suit was done. Not only was it done, but it fits me like a glove. If I didn't know any better, I'd never know that it was originally meant for a man much larger than me. Indeed, 24 hours and $29 after I dropped the suit off, I basically had a new suit to add to my rotation. All this is to say that I can't recommend Spring Tailor highly enough. If it weren't for the fact that I'm moving halfway across the country in less than a month, they would get all my alterations from this point forward! read more

Plus, the Asian ladies that run the place aren't shy about nearly undressing you in front of gobs of disgusting mall shoppers. The only thing they have going for them is how quick they are. I would prefer that they take a little more time and actually do what I ask. I had 3 pairs of pants altered last week. I wanted them hemmed which they would only do to the length that they wanted, not what I asked. So now they are too long. I also wanted them tapered in at the bottom and that was just too much for them to handle apparently because it did not get done. Extremely unsatisfied. Really unhelpful! I went in to get a bridesmaids dress altered, I told them what I wanted, and they proceeded to try and tell me I wanted something else. On top of that they made really unhelpful suggestions. One suggested I add something to the neck of a halter dress????? The other kept saying that the front of the dress was fine, despite me saying 4 or 5 times that it wasn't. They also tried to tell me that this dress runs 4 sizes to small, even though that is not what the store told me, just so that I wouldnt alter it the way I wanted. Unbelivable! I cant belive I wasted my time going there at all. Needless to say i walked out and went somewhere else. No surprise, the next place had no problem doing what I wanted to the dress. I think Spring Tailor does an excellent job and they are fast and efficient, although "some" jobs are a bit costly for what I would think to be simple fixes.... The only complaint I have is having to talk on the phone or in person to at least one of the females there that barely speaks English, and I believe she is the same one that seems "impatient' whenever on the phone and in the store, and doesn't hesitate to express her "opinion" of what she thinks is "fine", regardless of what I think. She needs to understand that if we want her opinion, we will ask for it. Otherwise, alter my clothes "my" way, and do so graciously. read more

I needed my wedding dress altered. Dropped my brand new dress off with them and it was returned with black ink marks all over it. Tags were removed from my dress and the bottom was cut. The alterations were sloppy. The chiffon on the dress was damaged and the staff was very dismissive of my concerns. I dropped off my dress and the entire bridal party. I bought several pairs of pants of the same style, one 32W x 32L (last one in the store), and two 32W X 34L. I took the two pairs of 34L pants to Spring Tailor to have them taken up. Fitting involved trying on the 34L pants, and having them marked where they looked the same as the 32L pair, wearing the same shoes. I picked up the finished pants and got home to find that the ex-34L pants were now two inches shorter than the 32L pants! Even with the new hem completely let out, the pants are too short. They must have cut off 5-6" of pants leg. Brand new pants, ruined. I am VERY DISAPPOINTED with them, and will look elsewhere for tailoring. Buyer beware! read more

I had to get my work uniform altered. My company paid for it, however I work in the mall and everyone I work with all got Spring Tailor to alter their uniforms. If I could describe the service, I would say...Janky. Seriously, first of all, the lady pinning up my uniform, I couldn't understand, she didn't speak broken english, she spoke NO ENGLISH AT ALL. Thank god I'm small because they took too much! The work was just crappy! Maybe I'm just spoiled because I know how to sew and my mother is a seamstress. Just the way they took in the fabric was horrible. I am going to have to replace my uniform soon because there are holes at the seams where pieces where chopped off and not sewn together correctly. Darts were left unfinished, and the entire team I work they were all like this too! My hems fell out a month after I had them altered. Spring Tailor was excellent! Let me start off by saying I had bought my wedding dress from David's Bridal and it needed alterations. I went for an alterations fitting at David's Bridal and they were going to charge me almost $400 for taking in the sides, hemming and bustle. I decided instead to go to Spring Tailor after hearing good reviews from family friends. I was pleasantly surprised! They did the exact same alterations that David's Bridal was going to do, and the whole thing only cost me $150!! They were super quick too and I had my dress done and ready to go a week after I had initially went in (David's Bridal wasn't going to have my dress ready for three weeks!!) They would have gotten the dress done even sooner but I had to schedule my alterations around other obligations. They asked me when I would like it done/picked up by, instead of me having to ask them when it would be finished. The dress looks as though it was originally made this way and you cannot even tell it was altered. Great work Spring Tailor! Y'all are a life savor! read more
