I told her the absolute horror story I had been through, with the dry cleaner up on Reynolda Rd, and how I had been back to that business 4 times trying to get them to sew the flags on RIGHT. I told her that I had already spent $150, and that I was so sick of the other business that I was willing to just pay her for the whole job, regardless of what I had paid the other people, just to get the job done right. She took in the work, and when I went to pick it up, not only was it done RIGHT...but she refused to charge me a penny! She said she could see the jacket was important to me, and that I had been through enough (with the other people). I told Angelo what I needed and he showed me some options in both categories. I was torn between the Jack Victor and the Hart Schaffner Marx, but opted for the Jack Victor because it was double vented while the HSM was single vented. Everything fit well off the rack except the sleeve length which Angelo marked for tailoring. For the slacks I told him I was looking for something in wool but with some elastane for comfort and ease of movement. BAM! He shows me a pair of 98% wool, 2% elastane slacks in two waist sizes (don't ask!). I actually need the size in between those two sizes so we opt for the larger size and Angelo marks them to take the waist in an inch, as well as to finish the legs. Within a week I have my tailored jacked and slacks. No charge for any of the alterations. To be sure you can pay less at the big boxes at Hanes Mall and you will no doubt get what you pay for. But if you want superior service and quality -- a navy blazer and slacks that on an annualized basis will be quite a bargain 10 or 15 years from now -- then check out Angelos.
