Friedman strode in looking harried and asked "What are you here for today?" with a puss on his face. Before I finished answering, he interrupted with "Look, I can't see you without an ID." I said "I told the receptionist I could go get it. I live about two blocks away." "If you're not happy with the care, you can go somewhere else." So I did. Very strange and unpleasant interaction. My fault for not having an ID, but what an A-hole. Best I can figure, I was labeled suspicious for not having my ID and shown the door. He also wouldn't give me my chart when I left. Not recommended.

Sure he once broke both legs jumping off a boat into 4' deep water and getting medical advice from a dude with giant casts on both of his legs was a little suspect, but I digress. Since that doctor I've had a long string of managed care zombies. Every single one has made a snap judgment based on the first symptom or two they heard and hustled me along. I had one doc say "You need to lose some weight" based on my BMI, not bothering to note that I was at the time a bodybuilder with single digit body fat (his advice would be correct nowadays, but again I digress). Dr. Friedman, who I chose totally at random as the nearest doctor who took my insurance, has been an unexpected joy. He's very kind, listens to his patients, doesn't rush you at all and seriously knows his stuff. He has also worked in the area for a very long time and has extensive connections in the local medical community. I've gotten a couple of referrals from him and they both worked out wonderfully. To be fair his office is a little dated-feeling and could use a facelift, but that hasn't affected the quality of care I've received at all. I'd much rather have a great doctor with a 70's-feeling office than a mediocre doctor in a state of the art facility, which seems all too common these days.

My husband and I found Dr Raisis to be very friendly, respectful and great bedside manner. I am very, very picky about who my doctors are, and I immediately felt very comfortable with Dr Raisis. In the recovery room I heard staff talking about him, and they had nothing but good things to say about him. In my book, if medical staff speaks highly of a doctor, that is who I'm going too see! Dr Pritchett made a good choice!! Two wonderful doctors, and this morning, I'm sore but no real pain!! I was told to expect lots of pain post op...doesn't seem to be happening! And I credited those two doctors and the great staff at Swedish Ortho Insitiute!!

I don't live in Seattle anymore so this review is rather overdue, but I am currently reviewing my…read morerecords from Dr. Raisis and his colleague Dr. Steege, which reminded me I wanted to review them here. Dr. Raisis in particular was completely disinterested in my case; he was never receptive to anecdotes that would help explain my symptoms (in fact, he outright said he had never seen my particular issue in his career, when in fact it is a fairly common issue and relatively easy to see on diagnostic images, according to information I've gathered and surgeons I've met in the meantime). For a few years I defended him, saying that while his bedside manner was terrible, he was a good "mechanic." That changed when I was diagnosed and treated for a rare infection that Dr. Raisis had neglected to warn me was a possibility of the last surgery he had done on me. In fact, Dr. Steege had seen me while I was trying to get a diagnosis, and he correctly guessed what was wrong but dismissed me saying that couldn't be the case. By the time my infection was diagnosed, there was an imminent threat of kidney failure (yes, stemming from a neuro issue!). I would not recommend Dr. Raisis or his colleague Dr. Steege. Terrible customer service, and negligent doctors with little interest in cases they do not find compelling.

I took my daughter to have an initial examination with this doctor I was in the room due to my daughter being so nervous and anxious This doctor was inadequate and didn't do a good job at all. Then when I asked at front if she was going to order any labs or update my daughter vaccinations the front person said she didn't ordered anything and that she needed to come back for a initial examination bc she was going to do that next appt. What?!! Right?! I was very disappointed of how she handled the exam like downplaying any concerns my daughter had. Saying that a test such an an MRI was too expensive to do etc I really wanted my daughter to have a good experience but it didn't happened. She treated her poorly and made assumptions about her when my daughter came in with PPO insurance. It was discriminatory and bias at least. So dissatisfied and disappointed and people such as these should not become physicians. I booked another appt for my daughter with another doctor there who did my exam and who was a profesional. She's easy to talk to, answers all my questions with care, and doesn't rush our appointments. She'll talk through my options and isn't pushy. She also was supportive of my desire to get Mirena IUD and had no problem giving me a referral. Plus she's at Polyclinic and I've had no issues with the last three insurance carriers I've used.

I am shocked by the experience that I just had with Dr. Tribble. She was the on-call doctor for my regular doctor who perscriped me some emergency medication for a terrible cough I was trying to ease before leaving the country for two weeks. Two of my five prescriptions still hadn't reached the pharmacy two hours after the other three. So I called to let the doctor know and request that the two missing prescriptions be called in. Dr. Tribble called me back promptly but I was on a noisy bus and didn't hear the phone. Fifteen minutes had passed before I listened to her message. She requested that I call back with the names of the prescription, which I did. She then called me back again and was more rude than a doctor has ever been to me. Unfortunately I am in a position to deal with doctors on a very regular basis and frequently need to make requests of on-call doctors. I have never had an experience that even comes close to the rudeness and the combative attitude that Dr. Tribble displayed. I still can't figure out what her motivation was for acting that way. If being treated decently is important to you, I strongly urge you not to see this doctor. If you don't care about that, she might be a perfectly fine fit for you.

I used to see 3 different doctors and had to do all the footwork to get them to share information. I have never experienced better disease management or more thorough and compassionate care. Dr. Sontrop is also just so on top of her charting, referrals, etc. I always just feel like at Polyclinic and Dr. Sontrop's office - I'm in good hands.

Only 4-Stars due to the staff being somewhat "pushy" with regards to selling us (wife & I) new glasses. We went in explaining we are retirees on Medicare with Aetna Insurance (supplemental). One of the staff members checked our medical coverage and immediately said we needed to pay $39.00 each for the exams. My wife explained that we shouldn't be charged due to our age and we are diabetic (this exam being our annual check-up), and we've never been charged before. She then checked again and came back and said, "Oh, your exams are free". I understand that LensCrafters is in the business to make money, but being retired and on fixed incomes we cannot afford $400+ for glasses (each). The person assisting us was somewhat reluctant to give us our prescriptions, but my wife was persistent and we obtained copies of our prescriptions. Nice selection of frames with high-class names (Ray Ban, Stetson, etc.), but when you add up the costs of new frames ($188-$200+) and lenses, they quickly become cost prohibitive. As stated in the begging of this review, Dr. Pham was knowledgeable and great to talk with. We'll more than likely be back next year for our annual exams.

I had an excellent experience at this office. The initial call to schedule an appointment was easy,…read moreand the lady I spoke to answered all my questions and was very friendly. True to her word, she mailed me all the needed paperwork promptly, and I received a call from Lisa in the office to let me know that they received all my MRI images from the radiologist. I even got a reminder call the day prior to my appt. I'm not that familiar with Evergreen, so it was a little tricky, finding the office. Parking was a breeze, as all the paperwork was very clear about parking in the "blue" garage. However...it would have been good to know that the office was in the "Tan" section of the Evergreen complex. FYI. The office itself (once I found it) is very large and well-spaced out. There are sports memorabilia and prints on the walls (the doctors specialize in sports medicine, which I like!). The front desk lady was incredibly nice and we chatted. I was seen on time, to the minute. Another friendly gal ushered me to my room, and I was told to change into some very unattractive shorts (!), to take some x-rays. The x-rays provide a different image of the problemmatic area, and being associated with the medical field myself, I believe them to be appropriate and necessary for proper diagnoses. The x-ray tech was awesome! She made me very relaxed and comfortable - even in the hideous shorts. Afterwards I was escorted back to my room, where I was seen by Dr. Roh (see my review of him. He was great). This practice came highly recommended to me by my GP, and I have heard great things from people I know who have been seen here. Now I see why.

After meeting doctor roberts I was certain that he was the doctor for me. He is POSITIVE, realistic, and honest which is important when approaching a procedure like this. All of the nurses and staff are unbelievably helpful and continuosly went out of their way to help me, even when it came to insurance troubles! I never felt ignored or uncomfortable and they were always on the ball when it came to my scheduling, insurance, etc. The ACL replacement procedure itself went amazingly well with almost no scarring and a full recovery back to snowboarding and crossfit at 5 months!!!! Dr. Roberts is a fantastic surgeon and was very positive about recovery times, but what I loved most was that he NEVER told me what I was capable of. Recovery is what you put into it and I feel blessed that I had a doctor as competent and understanding as Dr. Roberts. I send all my friends and family members there! Oh, and get the CPM machine for post surgery. trust me.
