Someone wrote that they have been coming to this office before they could drive. I can only say that I have been coming here for 9 years, and this year it was so I could drive. :) :) Whether a routine exam, or a crises where I needed to determine if I had a torn retina, I have always have had fast responses to my needs. Both Dr. Mantua and Dr. Pond are absolutely top-notch, up-to-date trained and informed professionals; chose either one with complete certainty. Both take the time to listen to your need and find solutions. And, you will find a great supporting staff! Years ago, my first visit was to correct problems that I encountered from new lenses prescribed by another well established office of physicians...who were unwilling to determine the cause of my lens problems. I just gave up after three repeat visits, and looked for a new physician. That's when I fond EyeWish Optometry. My daughter had been very satisfied with them, and recommended that I make an appointment there. I found a supporting staff equally interested in finding me solutions. Only by taking the time and interest were they able to discover that it was a lens manufacturing issue. This last Tuesday... I was surprised to have my yearly check up at 0730 am. I had the entire clinic for my self. Dr Mantua is always receiving me with a smile! I love the new technology around. She is very professional and I feel free to ask any questions about my vision. I had a good time with the new machine that takes the BP on my eyes. Very Easy! Painless! I have already noticed that her entire EYE Computerized equipment is brand new! I love the entire collection of NEW Glases. The last year I had an emergency with my right eye, and Dr Pond took care of my emergency. I forgot I had contact lenses on my eyes and I scratched my eye with it. I still use both contact lenses at work and regular prescription glasses at home. Dr Pond treated my right eye and before a minute had passed... my right eye was fixed. No redness, soreness or pain. Once again, Eyewish Optometry provided me with excellent services at my recent annual eye exam. Although I am a Kaiser Permanente member, I much prefer having my annual vision checkups done at Eyewish because their exams are much more thorough, never rushed - unlike Kaiser's vision services. Dr Mantua was super thorough & allowed plenty of time for my many questions. I'm never rushed during appointments, & we cover a lot of ground since I have various eye/vision issues. The staff is also a top-notch group. And best of all, the price is RIGHT & they're right here in my hometown. I had previously been wearing glasses that I had gotten through an ophthalmologists. The glasses just never seemed right but since they were expensive, I used them for a couple of years before going to EyeWish. I'm so extremely happy with the service I received from Dr. Pond and her staff at EyeWish. I have never received such a thorough eye exam. Their office has convenient hours and is conveniently located with easy parking. I chose a pair of frames and was told that they would order the frame in the other color options available so that I could see them before making my final decision. Dr. Pond is very thorough and professional in her eye exams, as well as discussing other health aspects related to vision care. My insurance wanted me to go to an ophthalmologist, which cost $650 just for the exam. It wasn't as good as Dr. Pond. She also travels to 3rd world countries to give eye exams and help people to see better. If the glasses cost a little more, I don't mind since I am very happy to support a great local business. They provide excellent service. read more

After my HMO was repeatedly unable to fill my prescription correctly I went here and Dr. Mantua was able to correctly determine my prescription and I found great frames. After a vision checkup this year I was not satisfied so came right back to Dr. Mantua and she figured out what was going on right away. Not only is she an awesome doctor, she is a really nice person. Both Dr. Pond and Dr. Mantua are extremely thorough with their exams and take the time to answer questions and concerns. We have never been rushed with our appointments. Everyone in the office is very helpful and professional. Outstanding customer service over the phone as well (which is rare nowadays). Doctor Lora Pond is very thorough and patient, so I didn't feel like I had to rush through my exam.
