I have been buying glasses at Eyetique in Squirrel Hill for 25 years or more. In addition to having unique, beautifully designed frames, their service is superb! I recently moved from Pittsburgh to Chapel Hill, North Carolina. However, I still get my glasses at Eyetique. Most recently UPS lost the glasses Eyetique sent to me: a pair of Theo and a pair of Ic Berlin. I was so upset. But, Eyetique, true to their excellent service, replaced my glasses. Hats off to Brad & Rick for all the time they took to follow-up with me, UPS, Theo and Ic Berlin to make sure I got my glasses. Eyetique is the best -- even if you don't live in the 'Burgh! Now my friends in Chapel Hill are asking where I got my cool glasses! Claralyn P. read more

I live in Nashville but loved the selection at Eyetique! I ordered frames and sent the prescription to them from a doctor in Nashville. I just picked up the frames today and they are the CUTEST! BUT they are totally the wrong prescription, which was my fault because I went to a random doctor in Nashville. Long story short I'm leaving to go back to Nashville on Monday but called Eyetique and they are fitting me in tomorrow to see their doctor and will fix my lenses. Super cute specs and awesome customer service. Can't beat that! read more

This place is amazing! They have an amazing staff, and an amazing selection of designer eyeglasses and sunglasses. The staff is also fantastic at helping pick out the best eyewear for your face shape. I come here every time I'm in town from scottsdale. I highly recommend checking out any of their many locations. read more

Great selection and service!!! I Have not stepped foot in their store in years and I just call up, talk with Maxine where we figure what I need. I live over 1,000 miles away and we do have stores in Houston probably offering the same kind of glasses, but this store offers a great customer experience thus I keep coming back. read more

Great service and lot's of choices for eyewear. They are a little pricey, but worth the costs. I love my Norman Child's glasses for the style and the fit. I also got my contacts through them and the salesperson even did the rebate for me so I would get the special. read more

My family has been repeat customers for decades. Really cool, cutting edge frame designs much different than the big box stores. Maxine, Norman and the rest of the Eyetique staff alway provide white glove personalized service. Love Eyetique, love supporting local businesses - Eyetique is definitely the place! read more

I bought a pair of glasses with wonderful Norman Childs frames over a year ago at the Shadyside location. I love them and had such a great experience that I went to this location for my exam and a new pair of specs. The doctor is really nice and competent. No complaints there. As usual, decent selection of frames and such- plus, the year-end 40%-off sale makes things a bit more affordable. read more

I gave this 3 stars for customer service at the South Hills location. The manager is very helpful and really knows what fits your face. That being said, the glasses are way over priced. I really have a problem with the groupon purchases. You would think they would honor the discount even with insurance because they are so expensive. The groupon was basically the only reason I went there knowing how expensive they are. Have to say I will not purchase their groupon again and will hesitate to go back because, in my opinion, $800.00 is way too much for a pair of glasses!! read more

If I could separate the stars into categories, I'd say service and selection get 5 stars, pricing 1. I've purchased many pairs of eyeglasses there over the years, and have been very happy with my experiences EXCEPT for the price. I have finally thrown the towel in, as they are simply not reasonable or competitive with their pricing. They are 20%-40% higher than most, apples to apples (even with their annual sale, which is a joke). To whomever in the Childs's family that I helped pay their mortgage, you're welcome ;) Seriously, all the more power to them. They seem to have a thriving business, but I for one can't keep up with their prices. MGM Optics in Monroeville is excellent, and I got a very thorough exam at Eyes on the Square. I'll miss Eyetique, but can now make two car payments ;) read more

I had such a great experience at the Squirrel Hill location. Not only do they have a huge array of gorgeous frames, they have amazing technology! I have an extremely difficult prescription. Not only are my glasses perfect, they were in in 2 days! Even those one hour places take over a week to get my crazy lenses in! I walked away with amazing super cool frames and a free t-shirt! read more

I've spent the past month looking for the perfect eyeglasses. This journey included visits to Eyetique stores in Wexford, Shadyside and, ultimately, Squirrel Hill. The overall experience at Eyetique stores was uncanny and consistent. Great people who worked hard to get me exactly the right lenses and frames. Keep it up Eyetique and you'll have me for life! read more

Terrible service, rude people, and waited forever. Was given a runaround every time I called.

I cannot say enough positive things about eyetique! I have been a contact lens wearer for many years, and recently decided to go back to wearing glasses. Before coming to eyetique I went through three different pairs and was still not happy with the quality of the lenses I was getting from other retailers. The problem isn't that those retailers didn't have quality opticians, but rather that they were more limited in the choices of lenses they had available to offer. Knowing I needed and wanted to have the best vision possible, I did my research. Both on line, about what manufacturers make the highest quality lenses, and by talking with friends who had these better quality lenses that I had been unable to purchase at other local retailers. I then decided to give eyetique a try, and visited their new location at the Mall At Robinson. Immediately upon walking in, I was greeted by a friendly and professional opticians. First by Patty and later by Nathan, who is also the store manager. They listened to all my concerns and were extremely helpful and kind in trying to help me find a solution to my vision needs. I left that day without ordering any glasses but returned later to place an order. They have exquisite frames, and an unlimited ability to order almost any lens on the market today. They were able to order the Varilux Physio Enhanced lens that no other retailer had been able to offer me. I now feel that I have the best vision that I can get, and much better than anything else I have ever had in glasses! While you may pay a little more for a designer frame and the best lenses available, I feel the price is well worth it. Vision is important to me, as well as having a positive look and image. The price is small when you consider that I will probably wear these glasses every day for a couple of years. If you are like me, and want the best vision available in a frame that will uniquely suit your lifestyle and face then my suggestion is to visit eyetique at the Mall At Robinson. In my opinion, they offer unparalleled customer service; top quality frames and lenses that will give you unsurpassed vision! read more

Father time finally caught up with me and I was told that I need glasses :( I have never really been in the market for glasses so when I asked around people kept telling me to go to Eyetique. I went to their Squirrel Hill location and was really overwhelmed by the choices in glasses and all the different brands and lensed and coatings ect.. The sales guy, Marc, kind of sensed this and immediatly sat me down and spent 45 minutes basically giving me the whole run down of all the information I needed to make a choice. He never tried to sell me or steer me in any direction. He just walked me through it. I found this very refreshing. After settling on a pair he told me it would take a few days to get he prescription done. I kinda gave him the "Please help me now that I am excited face" and he smiled and said he would have them that afternoon! All in all, for what I got, and the complete education I received about the eyeglass market from Marc, it was so worth the money. These guys are passionate about what they do. You don't get that in retail anymore. Now that I am officially Mr. Four Eyes I am sure I'll be hanging around their store looking for more. read more

My Eyetique experience was horrible. I felt judged as soon as I walked in. The salespeople come off as judgmental and snobbish even though they're doing all of the proper customer service niceties. I had a Groupon deal, but it's just a way to get you in there. When I saw the prices I was shocked, but had already bought the Groupon, so I felt locked into a purchase. I still spent hundreds of dollars on top of the Groupon, but I justified it by telling myself I was splurging on something of quality. That was a complete mistake. I take care of my glasses. I have a slight prescription, so I don't wear them often and I always lay them on the counter or put them in a case when I'm done. Yet, with no rough wear, the glasses bent out of shape because of their cheap quality. I went back twice to get them adjusted because I thought they were just too big, but after awhile the bending was visible. I can't wear them because they just slide off of my face. Previously, I bought glasses from my previous optometrist and even Walmart and Sam's Club and all of those glasses have lasted longer. Poorer quality than two box stores? That's saying something about your product, Eyetique. I actually used my Sam's Club glasses with an older prescription over my Eyetique glasses because they wouldn't stay on my face because they were so bent. Finally, about a year after my visit, I called for my prescription. I told them that my glasses were of horrible quality, I had a poor experience and I would not be a returning customer. The sales representative on the phone didn't express any concern about a customer's poor experience. Instead he just said, "Oh okay. We'll mail you your prescription." They didn't and I had to call again. I'm glad I did because I used it to buy from Coastal.com. The glasses are better priced, of better quality, and even with no face-to-face interaction, they have much better customer service. Despite all of this, I will at least say the optometrist I saw at the Murray Ave. location was nice and did a good job. read more

Great customer service. I've worked with many of the staffers there and have never had a problem. My only complaints are that their frames are really expensive, and I find interactions take a little long. I don't mind the lengthy interactions too much, however, because they are all friendly and always get it right. read more

I bought my glasses at the Wilkins Township location a few years ago. I took them back to have a new lenses with an updated prescription on 4/22/14. When I handed the manager my script I told her that it had my updated contact information on it and that my cell phone was the best way to contact me. I was told that it would take about 2 weeks for the lenses to be made once they came in I would receive a call and I could drop off my frames. Well a little after a month later I didn't hear anything. When I called the manager could not find my stuff she said that she would take my number and call me back. I didn't get a call but I did receive an email stating that she did not write my number down, their records showed that someone called my old number 5/15/14 but it was disconnected and did not try any other means of contacting me. I was really disappointed because I love my glasses and then to find out that the person that I was dealing with was the manager too. Obviously me correct email account was on file but no attempts to contact me though it were made. I also had a huge change in my prescription and I may have to have some adjustments made but don't know if the 60 day policy starts from the purchase date or the date that I received my new lenses. read more

I was in there earlier this month. I was treated worse than a Lenscrafters type place, I was rushed and no one even introduced themselves for a good 7 minutes. Was not what I anticipated for a boutique type place. read more

Jeri Fistek at the 5508 Walnut St 15232 location fitted me and made excellent recommendations in regards to the width of the glasses, lens types, etc. Excellent customer service and knowledge. She looked up my insurance in seconds, the entire interaction was pleasant and efficient and the selection of glasses is outstanding. I didn't like the first pair I got, my fault, and she fitted me with a new pair, no charge. Unbelievable. I wouldn't go anywhere else!!! read more

The doctor was nice but the sales staff NEVER returns my calls. I've called several times to order contact lenses and am always told someone will immediately return my calls, but they never do and I always have to call back. They also tried to push me into buying very expensive designer frames and failed to mention or show me the frames covered by my insurance. I had to come back a second time and specifically ask to be shown the insurance frames. read more

I just left the location in Squirrel Hill and my experience could not have been better! I was incredibly stressed because I broke my glasses this evening and cannot survive without them. I called the store only a half hour before they were closing and Robert assured me that I should come in anyway and they would do everything they could to help me as quickly as possible. They had my prescription on file. Natalie helped me pick out new glases and was incredibly patient with me while I found two pairs that I loved. Even though they were closing soon I did not feel rushed whatsoever. I never expected to leave that night with a pair of glases on such short notice but Ed offered to stay late and cut my lenses while Natalie talked me through the paperwork. They made sure I left with an affordable pair of glasses I love! What an amazing team. If Robert, Natalie and Ed are any example of the people that work there then it seems this store has a group of employees who are great human beings (and stylish too). Highly recommend this location!!! read more

Visiting Pittsburgh, stopped in and found cute glasses...expensive, but unique. Purchased on Saturday, April 7th and the clerk said they would be ready three days later - a Tuesday. We were leaving on Monday, and he told me that mailing them would not be a problem. Finally (after 3 phone calls), my glasses arrived TOTALLY smashed...they had not been packed appropriately (and the clerk asks ME "did you ask what the post office would do about that"). I asked him if they were insured, and he was not aware that it was something that they would have done. Long story longer, I mailed them back and the clerk called to say they were received on May 2nd and they would rush them right out...still have not received, and it is May 21st. In all fairness, I have not called again - you would think for somebody who had such poor service, they would bend over backwards. Luckily put a stop payment on our card...I have a feeling they will never come. Super disappointed - no new glasses, time wasted. Not sure of the address of Eyetique I went to - was in downtown Pittsburgh. read more

My familiy and I have been a customer of Eyetique for about 3 years. It is amazing how friendly they are when you are purchasing their eyeglasses. The latest experience is what has turned my opinion of them 180 degrees. I received an eye exam at the South Hills Village store. Everything was going well until the salesman started to write up an order for my new glasses. They knew that I had the Davis Insurance, but when I mentioned that I also had a $100.00 gift certificate he promptly told me that I could not use that with the Davis insurance. I then told him that I had used gift certificates for my daughter, son and myself in the past year and a half. His response was to crumple the sales order, throw it in the trash and ended all conversation with me. I just sat there for a few moments and turned to the other sales clerk - who also refused to talk to me (we had friendly conversation up to that point). Needless to say, I took my prescription and left the store. I am left with a gift certificate that I cannot use (I spent $50 for it on WPXI's site) and a VERY sour taste for Eyetique and their employees. read more

DO NOT TRUST THEM! Horrible experience! High pressure sales is one thing, I get it, but withholding information regarding payment is why I will write a negative review everywhere possible. My glasses got lost so for 2 days, I have been unable to work or drive and oh Hillary was so sympathetic! She assured me all would be well and I would be able to see by the next morning. she made a call to request a rush, so sweet right? When she calculated my bill which was just short of $1,000, I told her i would need to find a more inexpensive pair. Hillary told me not to worry that I could divide my payments in two since I told her I wasn't able to pay the remainder until my next payday. "Oh No Problem" says Hillary. Less than 24 hours later, I go to pick up my glasses and shared how pleased I was that they came so quickly because I had to drive to a late meeting and wouldn't be able to go without glasses. so I offer to continue to discuss how the payment could be made and she says nothing but "let me get my manager". he proceeds to tell me he can't let the glasses go without full payment. Although my entire family has been a customer of etiquette for at least 8 years, they would not budge. I was able to work something out and get some help from a family member, took my glasses and was on my way out, never to return. When i told Hillary that she didn't tell me the details and that i would have to pay for the glasses before pickup, she only says "I know I didn't". Eyetique, I know lot of people, and can write a review in minutes. DO NOT TRUST THEM! read more
